As the title suggests, I'm wondering if anybody here with a knowledge of launcher pro's shortcut creator could create a custom shortcut for me. Looking at the shortcut creator, I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing and none of the fields for entry make any sense to me. I've done some googling but I can't find any reliable source of info for help with the creator, and it seems like a lot of people are in the same boat.
Soooo....if there is somebody who can help, here's what I'd like the shortcut to do (if it's possible):
activate Advanced Task Killer's "kill all selected" command (which I think is the same function that the ATK widget performs)...so basically kill all running processes that I havent added to the ignore list..
then, kill the Advanced Task Killer process (since it lingers, even if you just use the widget and not open the program) using AutoKiller Memory optimizer (if it helps, the ATK process is nearly always at the top of the list of processes due to alphabetical order).
so basically, I let Autokiller run all the time since it handles the memory presets, but every once in a while I'll use ATK to clear all running processes (except autokiller and other ignored ones of course), then have to go in to Autokiller to kill the lingering ATK process.
somebody please let me know if this is possible...
thanks!

Hey all, I can't seem to figure out how to display the tasks on the today screen (instead of just the number, the actual task list). Anybody know how, or know of a cheap/free plugin that'll do it? Thanks!
Nevermind on this, found a great free plugin: TasksPlus 1.4.
Works great with WM6
Default task list dont display the actual task names and stuff...you can also try todayagenda...i perdonally like that as it displays calender appointments along with tasks and many other things.

I don't like the applications running background and close them all using taskmanager is a burden for me, is there a way to close the current application completely using an End button?
also would it be possible to start the wifi automatically without going thru the commmanager to turn the wifi on everytime I restart the phone?
thx in advance.

You can use the <-- (back button underneath the right soft key) to close most of the apps.. as you press the button it will cycle through the open apps and close them. But a Task manager is the only real way of terminating applications with no exit menu option. I use celetask, a much better program then the built in task man.
Another option you have is getting CHome configurator if you have WM 6.1 - and create a standalone slide menu that only has the task manager. If anything - it just makes it easier to get into the task manager faster.
BTW: Windows Mobile is notorious for this problem and memory leaks. Another option is to go with a Blackberry ;-)

lol Crackberries have their fair share of issues... dont get me started on the pros and cons of Wm vs Crackbery trust me you will lose the debate lol
Hi Guys, I'd like to have the HTC task manager in the top right of every program (except full screen obviously) in place of the "X". If I want to exit a program, I usually press the hardware "ok" button and keep it running in the background for fast loading later and keep an eye on memory usage with the top right menu. Is it possible to have the task manager always on in place of the cross?
Yes, that would be great. I did not find anything to get what we want, so far.
As a workaround, I used WkTask (http://soft.photoracer.net/docs/wktask_en.html) which works well, and allows to switch easily from one running program to the other.
Waiting for a better solution, hope that this helps.

Best program iv found by a long way is Showcase. Works like a charm and looks pretty!
SPB Pocket Plus and SBSH both do as you ask... but the come at a premium
pbar works for me. "pBar is able to override the behaviour of the "X" button just like other task managers. In addition, there are a couple of handy shortcuts found on the popup menu. You can even add shortcuts of a couple ..."
I am a HTC Touch Diamond user and ROM cooker, I was wondering if there was a way to automatically close an app when another is open. For example on a diamond Sense 2.5 takes up a lot of free RAM and there isn't much left after it launches, especially for internet browsing, so is there a way for instance when you open an app like Opera Mobile to automatically close Sense and relaunch it after you close opera or at least stop it from restarting so you can just tap to launch? I think something like this would be useful to a lot of people as the Sense UI isn't helping you when your using something else.
Thanks in Advance.
It's kind of easy to implement with mortscript or similar tools.
Firstly, create a simple script, close the programs you want, then oen the target program.
After that, create a shortcut of the script, with the target program's icon link included, rename the shortcut and replace the target program's shortcut with this one.
Done.
Hi all,
i've scoured both the net and forums for the answer to this;
basically i'd like a link to say MGS on my homescreen, similar to what the 4droid emulators do, but using fpse. Has anyone managed to do something like that? had a quick look at the fpseCE forums but it wasn't much help; i know that apps like bettercut can create custom shortcuts with the option to add (what i believe to be) parameters... no clue how to go about loading a game though.
im bumping this as i would like to know if this is possible also
Maybe tasker can do it

wahey! i couldn't believe i was the only one that was after this functionality!
I haven't got tasker, but if it's anything like bettercut (lists of 'actions' from applications) i'm leaning towards a no. Anybody got this that could give it a go please?
any solution for this yet?
RE
The feature was listed in the change log of a recent release.
Something like. 0.11.26 or so.
I'm not sure how it's supposed to work, though.
I don't see it in my widget screen like the other emulators...
yep it was introduced a while back; there's a "create shortcut" command somewhere in the menus. it'll create a shortcut and add it automatically to ur homescreen =]

Yup, enter a game, press the menu button, go into settings, misc, create shortcut. It's the 2nd to last option
too bad i cant use it with desktop virtualizer.
