The first link on that url that says "File is Here >"

I hope this can help you.

[Q] Can't flash ROM/radio

Hello everyone,
I have an HTC Touch Diamond.
ROM version 1.37.404.3 NLD (original version)
Radio version 1.00.25.03
Also, its the GSM version
I started this weekend searching for ways of how to upgrade my HTC touch diamond's OS to WM 6.5. I used http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416211
I downloaded every program I needed. I downloaded a radio version i liked (1.00.25.05.rar) and a ROM I liked (Energy.DIAMOND.28244.Sense2.5.Cookie.2.0.Dec.21.7Z). To update the radio, i dl'd the Custom RUU as indicated in the guide.
I upgraded my phone to the HardSPL as indicated in the guide. when everything was done, I tried to update my radio version as indicated. I placed the RUU in a seperate folder, and i placed the radio version in the same folder. My phone was synced and ready to be updated. I started the RUU. it asked me if I understand the risks, i continued. It asked me if my phone was ready, I continued. then it tried to read the files in the folder, but it said it didn't recognize them. I checked the folder and not only the radio was in it, but also: enter bootloader, ErrorBattery.fig, ErrorUSB.fig, ModelID.fig, rapitool, RomUpdateutility(the one i used to update my HardSPL, and wich I have deleted already), RUUGetinfo and RUUresource.dll.
So I retried and the same error occured. Then i tried to run RUU, and before clicking next, I removed all the files from the folder, except the radio. i click next and next, and instead of the wrong file error, it says my device isn't connected. I do not understand this as it was synced, and I could even move files to and from my device.
I retried several times with and without removing the files from the folder. NO SUCCES. The same result with my Energy rom
Please help me because I searched google and this site for people with the same problem, but I couldn't (and can't) find any. I have no idea, am I doing something wrondg here? Is it because the radio version is .rar? Do i need to dl a .rar program? like 7Zip? Or does the radio need to be a .nbh file
Also, I entered bootloader on my device, and it says my HardSPL is
SPL-1.40.OliNex . This is the HardSPL as indicated in the guide.
P.S: is the site modmydiamond.com not there anymore or something? Or is it my computer.
PPS: How's my english? I'm dutch and i'm doing Cambridge English at my school. If I do something wrong, pm me
PPPS: I am a beginner on this kind of computing. How does Rom work exactly?
EDIT: if this is on the wrong forum, where exactly do I have to place this?
well, you did everything nicely to flash the HSPL. but you seem to have missed out on mtty.
try mtty and we will begin again. (btw search for mtty in the Diamond ROM development thread. you cant miss it as it has been stickied)
as for your english...i didnt know you were dutch until i read the last line where you said u are dutch
hehe...so ur english is very good
DEAD NOW?
how exactly can i flash it?
its working

I have a brand new T mobile branded DHD. I've only rooted, S OFF, ENG S OFF and SimUnocked it. tell me how to do a stock radio and i can help
thanks for your replies, i was hoping not to use the OTA as i will have to downgrade again. If you know if the OTA will also replace my splash screen with the original then i may do it.
@Rangnarok - could you tell me what the software version and baseband version are in setting>about phone.,I dont think you can extract a radio from the phone. Im not sure how you would extract the splash also. I know there are tools to flash them, but im not back home until tomorrow so i will have a look and if i can find a safe easy way i will PM you... thanks
Ok, to make sure I have what you need, I confirm again that, the Phone is new. I only Rooted. S-OFF and ENG S-OFF. It has a T-mobile splash screen, CID is TMOB005 at the moment.
Android version: 2.2
Baseband: 12.28b.60.140eU_26.03.02.26_M
Build number: 1.39.110.1 CL278886
I have made a back-up ROm, using ClockWorkMod, so I am not sure if this is what you are looking for?
I am researching to flashing a custom ROM on it. So hopefully I can help you before doing so
many thanks for the information, it was exactly what i was looking for, i have a backup of the stock rom that came with my phone, it just that it doesnt contain the radio, now i know the one it shipped with i can download it.
will get back to you on the splash screen, flashing a custom rom does not change this so have fun flashing.
I would reccomend trying the cyanogenMod 7 Rom, it has great customizable features, and once you get used to not having sense there will be no going back. The only thing i would look out for is i have noticed that GPS can be hit and miss with different roms, if you use it alot like i do then try using it before you spend too much time with one rom.
cheers
I have had a look inside the backup folder. It has
boot.img
system.img
etc
but nothing that indicates a radio back up. Is this already included in some file in the folder?
radio is not backed up. But there is a thread in dev that has a link to download different radio versions, i just wasnt sure which one came with a stock T-mobile phone.
There is a T-Mobile DE RUU available, you can download that, and get rom.zip from it. Then you can find splash1.img inside the rom.zip. I am pretty sure that T-Mobile DE's and UK's splashes are similar.
thanks for that jkoljo. I should have thought that i could get it from any t-mobile rom as long as the res is the same.
Been meaning to ask you, you quote "It will create a backup of your phone partition 7 (radio config) to the root of your sdcard, I recommend to keep that somewhere really safe!" from your radio tool thread. Does this mean the whole original radio is backed up and i can restore it from that?
Nope, it is not the radio, just radio configuration partition. The radio configuration has lots of important system values in it. Radio reads values from that config partition, and then acts accordingly. Radio is an important part of the system, and it does more than you could imagine

[Q] unrooting the evo

I know theres a bajillion threads out there already on this subject, but i cant find the right answer anyway. Im sending a friends evo back to sprint for a replacement, and have done step one of two in unrooting the evo. I used the unrevoked s-on tool sucessfully and now have the phone with "s-on", but when i try to flash the pc36 file, the phone doesnt seem to read it in the bootloader screen, even though its saved onto the sd-card. I have tried to download a bunch of different files to rule out the possibility of a bad download, but i still get the same thing. In the bootloader screen it still says "no image found" or "wrong file". Any ideas of what to do? Thanks.
Make sure PC36IMG.ZIP is all caps. Other wise it won't work if u need ruu look at my guide in my Sig.
funny how something as simple as changing the name fixes it lol one more thing though. the bootloader tried to update, but the file it was updating was an older one. Can u post up a link for a newer one, and how exactly do u know which RUU to use?

Got a question man. At the bootloader screen the phone is recognizing the pc36img very briefly, with the blue download bar at the top right of the screen, it loads up, and then it just goes back to the main bootloader screen without asking me to update or anything. whats going on now lol
I'm having the same issue on my phone. It unzips the file, verify's the file and then just goes back to hboot screen. I've tried the RUU exe and it doesn't detect my phone at all.
Any ideas?
https:// spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dDh6ekc0c2dIbGYyRHFrT09PUWpscnc6MQ
That form fixed my problems! Had to download a different PC36IMG to get it working.
the link is broken post a new one plz.
this whole thing is so easy, all i need is the right PC36IMG file. I have tried so many different ones and none of them work! Can someone please post the right link to this thread for the 2.10 hboot?
i have 2.10 hboot n the one in reapers post is the one i used. are u sure the file extension isn't being hidden and ur naming it PC36IMG.ZIP.ZIP?????
i got it fixed guys, i just had everything mixed up with the name and files. for anyone referencing to this page for help make sure the name is PC36IMG.ZIP and matches ur hboot.

Is this the 4.08.605.15 RUU?

Okay, links first: PB31IMG.zip and PDM_4.08.605.15_release.zip
I was tooling around the intarwebs wondering if a 4.08.605.15 RUU had ever made itself available, and stumbled across this VZW Community thread. All the way at the last message I noticed a user linking to an RUU on dev-host.org.
So I'm thinking to myself, "Self, that's really unusual, especially for a message reportedly sent to the poster from HTC."
So I follow the link. It's going to what appears to be the 4.08.605.2 RUU. Slightly disappointing, but I decide to click on the username to see what else they might have publicly posted. There's a number of interesting files available, but inside the ROMs folder I notice a recently uploaded PB32IMG.zip of an appropriate size for our phones.
So I download it.
Inside most of the files are timestamped May 29, 2012, and the android-info.txt file contains the following:
Code:
modelid: PB3120000
cidnum: VZW__001
mainver: 4.08.605.15
hbootpreupdate:3
:good:
The included hboot appears to be 1.07.0000 (!!!). There's also a ramdisk.img and the radio.img matches the 2.15.10.12.20 radio I had (as opposed to 2.15.10.07.07 that came with 4.08.605.2). boot.img, recovery.img, and system.img are all different as well, but I don't have anything immediately handy at work to mount the images and diff their contents with.
Now, this might be a fake, but it's a lot of work to go through to build.
I kinda need my incredible since it's my phone and I'm not down with guinea-pigging my real device on stuff like this, but I thought some devs or more intrepid users might want to check it out and see if it's legit.
Should that link go down, I kept a copy.
Edit: Added second link to PDM_408.605.15_release.zip. This zip file contains both the PB31IMG.zip (SHA-1 identical to the first link) and the RUU Utility (amongst other things) digitally signed by HTC. I'm pretty sure this is legit. Got a copy of this too...
It does appear to be legit. But im not sure how to tell for sure other than finding someone who is s-on, and seeing if it flashes.
Im gonna flash it and see what happens, but im s-off.
Let me know what you find. Would there be a way back to s-off if one unlocks their bootloader?

It does flash 4.08.605.15, so I'm gonna say its the real deal. Great find.
What do you mean way back to s-off? As in can you get s-off by unlocking the bootloader, or if you unlock the bootloader will you lose s-off.
Sorry, that was rather obtuse. I was just thinking that if one was s-on and flashed the RUU, would they be able to regain s-off? I haven't had to research rooting an Inc in a looong time, though I suppose with an unlockable bootloader it wouldn't be as much of an issue. (Oh look, you have a thread about how to do it! How about that.)
I wonder what else is posted on that account that nobody else has seen before?

I looked at all the files, and this ruu seems to be the only file for the incredible.
Not just for the Incredible, but for other phones too. There's a lot of what appear to be RUU zip files for devices that have been recently uploaded. The Evo 4G, Evo 3D, Amaze, and Sensation at a glance.
Help
ardax and cmlusco,
Do you guys happened to keep a copy of the RUU for this version
(4.08.605.15)? - the RUU file in the 2nd link is no longer valid.
Here's my situation and hope it will help someone in this community:
I was new to this. I got an old Droid Incredible from someone. The device
was installed with various program and was reported 'space low'. I add
a 16GB SD and installed Maps.Me lite. Not long after that the thing crashed.
I was trapped in the boot loop.
I was able to unlock the bootloader. But I was not able to get to s-off, since
it seems that it requires the device to be able to boot up or enter into the
debug mode, which I did not do when the device was OK.
I played around and the flash of clockworkmod is of no effect. The flash
of system, boot, and recovery all failed to bring the the device out of the
boot loop. I tried some SD PB31IMG.zip and all failed. The only thing I
have been able to do is RUU with the 4.08.605.2, which downgraded from
4.08.605.19. Earlier version give me the HBoot version error.
Since the 4.08.605.2 is a small file about 8MB. It may not change the
system much to bring the device out of the boot loop and since the
only thing I have been successful is with RUU. If you guys still have
the RUU around, I think it may do the trick for me - I have been
look abound on the web but haven't find a copy of it.
Thanks.
Duncan
The RUU is still available at http://dinc.does-it.net/Stock_Images/4.08.605.15/
I think that's cmlusco's site.
ardax,
Thanks for quick reply.
Sorry for a newbie's question:
I thought RUU is a .exe file that can execute under the Windows?
For a zip file, all I know how to handle it is put in a FAT32 SD card
and boot the Incredible into HBoot - which I have tried for some
PB31IMG.zip file and haven't have any luck - I do not know the
reason why it is failed.
Is doing this way with zip file the same as RUU?
Thanks.
UPDATE: I just tried the zip file by putting it on a FAT32 SD card and
boot into fastboot. Still reporting No Imange or Wrong Image.
-- Not working. Still trapped in the Boot Loop.
Try flashing from fastboot then. I don't remember if this will work with an unlocked bootloader though.
The basic gist of it is this:
* Reboot into bootloader
* run "fastboot.exe oem rebootRUU"
* Once you're in RUU mode, "fastboot.exe flash zip PB31IMG.zip" (The zip file needs to be on your PC.)
* You'll most likely get an error pretty quickly telling you to try again (right after the hboot pre-update), so rerun the previous command
* With all good luck, watch the flash go for a few minutes
* When it's done run "fastboot.exe reboot"
You should be back to stock. Now you can re-unlock the bootloader if needed and/or try to gain S-OFF.
If you're not comfortable with this procedure, I'd recommend looking for more explicit step-by-step instructions.
Does anyone still have the links for this? Or can the re-up them?

[Q] Radio download

Hi, so I've been trying to get the right radio for me and my friend with DHD (I have Inspire 4G and do not get any 3G signal) has this radio: 12.65.60.29_26.14.04.28_M. I found a download link on this site ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9891546&postcount=1 but I am unable to flash it. I noticed the ZIP file does not contain "android-info.txt" file. I know how to flash a radio with bootloader and I was successful in flashing other radios but it seems that it cannot be flashed without the file or the file itself is corrupted.
So does anyone know how to flash it or does anybody have the ZIP file with android-info.txt ? thanks a lot people!
edit: oh and... the downloaded file does not pass the checksum test.
edit2: just wondering. there are three antennas on DHD. One for GPS (under flashlight cover), one at sim cover and one at battery cover. which one of these last two is for 3G signals? contacts might be bad or damaged

To flash radio from that site you need ENG S-OFF which WILL MESS YOUR DEVICE. Check this thread (Inspire 4G and DHD radios are compatible as they are the same phone with different frequencies) to get a PD98IMG folder or use the guide in my signature to get an empty one:

since I have been successful in flashing radios from that site I guess I already have ENG S-OFF (although I don't know how to determine it, I know I did some S-OFF). The thing is, I think I need the exact radio version I posted above since it should finally give me 3G. I am located in Central Europe and I believe those radios are mainly for USA, are they not? Also,
Q. Why not just go to the Desire HD thread for Radio and RIL files?
A. Because we own an Inspire. While these phones are almost identical, the software used on each is NOT always compatible. This includes Radio images.

S-OFF is not ENG S-OFF...so if you have ENG S-OFF in the bootloader you will see ACE PVT ENG S-OFF....
From the thread I linked you, you have compatible radios for DHD and Inspire...many of the radios are compatible thou not all of them have been tested. I have used many DHD radios in my Inspire and had no issues at all.

I figured as much.
since I have ACE PVT SHIP S-OFF RL in my bootloader, I don't understand HOW could I flash that radio if I need to be ENG S-OFF in order to do so... or does it just seem to be flashed and in fact it is not?

Have you read the thread I linked you? there is the key....you have to flash radios as PD98IMG.zip files in the bootloader. That is the safest way, anyway.

I always download the ZIP package, rename to PD98IMG.zip, copy it to my SD card, reboot to bootloader, flash the radio, reboot the phone. Never did it different. And gave me error only once, only when the radio I need does not have android-something.txt file in the package.
I just need those packages with correct radio version and according RIL. and I'd like to know which antenna is which. so if anybody has or knows, please, do tell me.

is there anything specific you want me to read outloud? there is NOT the correct version I need (well there is, but it is just incomplete). I know how to flash it, I know there are "slight differences" between inspire 4g and DHD (according to the topic) but I do not have the correct package so I could rename it and flash it. I tried. Oh yes I tried. Did not work. Wouldnt flash. So I just need a link to the correct version. If you don't have it, please, leave it.
MD5 is not the same in the post as on the file and there is one file less in the package than in other packages of different radios.
BTW, I am not asking you to do my work, I am just asking if anyone has it. I tried to google it, all of the links I have found are dead (or making me download some youtube downloader). Oh and I am reading.
you know what? somebody lock this thread, please... I think I want to figure this one out myself. Even if it means not having 3G in my phone. I am not going to let glevitan make fun of me. dunno who's not reading.
