Tried using search and said its not available, try again in 10 min.
Recently bought a mytouch 4g and really have no use for my slide now and plan on selling it. Would like to sell it with the stock rom, and i was wondering if there is a stock rom or anything close to it?
Checked the Slide Rom Bible:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=713507 is one method using ESPRIMG.zip
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=705345 is another method using a nandroid backup.

Need some help what rom should i use?
Thanks in advance.
If you have a nandroid backup (you should) restore it, if not full wipe then install.

Gave it to a friend then that what happened, no clue what he did, they thing is i fixed it before with that rom but now it says main version is older.
anyone knows how to find the lateset Firmware to try it?
Thanks.
teamfenix 2.0 didn't work.

Sound like you might have an A2sd problem with the boot.img. Could be a lot of things from not having an Ext partition to wrong Boot.img for that rom. If you installed TeamFenix and the a2sd add on without patching the rom this will happen. Or if you patch the rom without installing the a2sd add on you will get the same. Not saying you did any of this, just stating ways that it can happen. It is best to go into recovery and wipe Ext,Data,Boot,System and cache (thats what I do). Then install a new rom from there.
can't go to recovery, when i click on recovery it reboots then it stays on the Mytouch logo screen.
So many unsolved issues that are related to this. Has anyone found a fix or knows a fix?
Yeah really what's with all the people with broken recoveries? Damn. I replied to some similar threads, try the solutions there. Use the ESPRIMG found in the rooting guide maybe? Try selecting clear storage THEN let it install ESPRIMG.

Basically I have to warranty exchange my Slide due to the front buttons under the screen not working. I need to know what the best way to unroot and revert my phone to S-ON with the stock ROM is. I'm currently running CM7 with custom MTD partitions. Any help is greatly appreciated

I think the fastest, easiest method would be CR's ROM
EDIT: Reverse S-Off Instructions on the bottom of the Original Post, flash the .zip provided on the bottom
which breaks root and S-Off. THAT should do it for ya Good Luck!

Only problem is that, that rom was not been pushed to phones yet by tmobile.
To answer the original post, flashing the champion build would revert it back to stock but i havent a clue how to get rid of s-off without flashing the unreleased stock 2.2

He linked to CR's updated 2.1 Rom. So tc could flash that. But yeah I would go champion.

I have done warranty exchange on my Slide three times without once ever unrooting or reverting to S-ON
Tmobile has never once given me a problem with it, either.
Thanks so much for the help guys. I really appreciate it! I didn't realize that the ESPRIMG.zip at the bottom of the S-OFF post would revert to full stock. Thanks so much.
Now all I gotta do is wait. Using a feature phone for now
Hey all,
I was wondering what is the most stock rom that keeps root.
This is only if you wanted to take it to sprint to get it hooked up on the network and so they dont ask questions. I know it is better to hook it up via calling them.
I know sprint lovers looks pretty stock, but is there a truly "stock" rom that is rooted with superuser?
Thanks all

Just root using unrevoked then don't flash a new rom and your done. But if I were you I'd unroot it to go to the sprint store.

You guys rock and thanks for your GREAT answers!
I unlocked using the old method, not unrevoked so I was just gonna do the simple thing and flash a "stock as you can get" rom. It is just get the phone hooked up under a new account.

Works Great
I rarely post, but frequent XDA often. I was needing a basic ROM to activate my phone after flipping it to a new number (I am most always on cyanogen) and this worked fantastic.
Thank you so much.

Well...your first mistake was not making a nandroid back up of your stock rom..that would solve this problem quick. As with anything "computer" related always make a back up before changing everything

While this is good advice, it's not really a useful post to respond to this question about. I'm researching the same type of issue for someone and this response has only been useful as an annoyance.
u do a clean install? if so try toggle signature..that worked for me before

Sao phien ha the
Couple things,
If you install the official OTA update, you will lose root, and will not be able to get it back. Its not currently rootable, and AFAIK, people are having trouble even downgrading from the official Gingerbread OTA in order to root. So bottom line, official GB OTA is a bad idea if you want root.
Second, the official GB update is posted in the Development section, so you don't need to mess with going back to stock in order to get the OTA, if you still want to install the official GB update.
Third, there is a pre-rooted version of the GB update, also in the Development section. So THAT is probably what you really want.
Forth, the RUU you are trying to install is not the stock T-Mobile ROM. Its a stock Desire Z ROM (with Sense). Again, you will lose root if you flash an official ROM, but this one (1.34) is actually rootable. You should still be able to install it anyway, so I'm not sure what the issue is. You're trying to run the RUU from your computer, right? Its not one you flash from ROM Manager.

I have S-ON and a custom, virtuous rom. I need to flash back to stock for a warantee. Whenever i try to flash a stock rom, or a nandroid clockword mod craps out. What should I do? I have a G2 (the one tmobile sells)
Is a G2 or a desire z? You failed to mention that. Either way just Google "stock told" with whatever phone you have. They are always laying around this thread as well.

Hmmmmm
I have tried doing the PC10IMG thing, and when I do it it says that the main version is older. I think I have the G2, whichever one T-Mobile sells in the U.S really.
