Hi i took apart my phone to fix the screen and now when i boot it up i get stuck on the welcome logo? splash screen. The phone has a stock rom and all so idk what happen? Any ideas?

I'm no expert but maybe, just maybe, this MIGHT have lead to your phone not working.

Root it and install a custom rom, if it powers on its not broken... the software got corrupted somehow...

how is he supposed to root it if he can't get past the splash screen?
I would suggest taking it apart again and checking all the connections. Good luck

Sorry.. It's on my HTC HD2. It's still stuck on android LOGO. Can I take out the battery and maybe reboot again???

I installed MAGDLR113, yes.

I took out the battery and started again then it suddenly worked. Hmm..

Rooted my wildfire S then installed Clockmod Recovery but saw only a back screen, so searched the internet and tried [email protected] got the output on my Laptop screen and flashed a custom rom. The phone turns ON and the rom is working too but there is no output on my phone screen, using [email protected] I can see the rom working on my laptop.
So basically I can't see output on my phone's screen. I can load into bootloader.

No more problems, just only that. I read some where to make your phone alive once again, one has to flash a new rom. I was tired so I did a Nand Restore. It's back the way it was.
Could it be a broken LCD?

Bleh just got my Optimus yesterday, came stock with zv9. Decided to root today and had no trouble, flashed TWRP recovery using FreeGee then updated to the newest TWRP version using GooManager. Made a backup using TWRP then used GooManager to download Lifeless ROM. Just downloaded, didn't flash. After the download was done I shut off my Optimus but when I went to restart it, it powered on, showed the LG logo for half a second then just went to a black screen. Can't boot to recovery. Whenever I try and turn the phone off it just restarts again showing the logo for brief period of time then black. Any ideas? It's gotta be bricked but I just don't understand how or why. Probably going to try and take the battery out and see what happens.

okay well your not bricked if you can get even a little life like an LG screen. hook phone up to computer and use adb to get into bootloader and try to reflash the recovery img again. it just sounds like you need to reflash your recovery. thats why it didnt flash. lemme know. ill keep checking back on the thread for awhile

Okay perfect I appreciate it. Downloading SDK right now, I'm away from my desktop and didn't have it on my lappy. LG has a program similar to ODIN too right? Would that maybe work as well?
You would need LGNPST. you can find it in the IRC if you can get to download mode you can flash back to stock and start over.

Yeah that's it thanks. But forgot- can't get in to download mode so that won't work.
I ran the command "adb devices" and the Optimus didn't show up. Is there anything else I can do/try?

Just because the screen doesn't come on don't think the phone is off. Plug that sucker in. If you see the logo you should be able to get in download mode. Also, if the phone is on, you will eventually see some green android screen.
The same thing happened to my phone once. I only know of one way to hard brick this phone. I am not telling anyone how. But, I doubt you did that. It isn't something you would accidentally do.

Sometimes my power button won't work for dlmode just hold volume down volume up and plug in

It's on but it just shows a flat black screen. No matter how long it is on it doesn't get passed that. Also, when it's plugged in there aren't any charging lights. Not sure what to do since adb doesn't recognize it.

I had the same situation a month or two ago. Try leaving it off for 20 minutes and see if it boots back up. Worked for me and like you I had no idea why it did that

i did this this past weekend. Dumb mistake, i forot that it wiped the unlocked and there isnt unlocking yet for JB.
After using LGNPST my radios/3g/network connection is screwed up. I cant connect to anything.
Update your profile.
If that doesn't work LGNPST again. Factory reset. Then update the profile.

hi, i just tried to update to jb evrything was going fine and all of the sudden the screen shut off and now the charging light and the buttons are flashing, im rooted and was doing the update through twrp.

Ummm I fired it up today and there was an update so I updated and now it's stuck on that boot screen. Help please?
It's not rooted or anything and it's on Virgin Mobile USA.
It's been on that screen for the past few hours.
not rooted? try a hard restart just hold the power button down until it restarts

I know I'm late and stupid for doing this, but yeah just stock and no root or anything. I gave up and got me a Nexus 4 but I still have files on my One V. I've tried looking around and apparently there's something wrong with the update and I can't find anything to help. Mind you this is the Virgin Mobile version in USA.

hmm… if you weren't rooted, and on stock, the update should have gone just fine and you should be able to use your phone like normal… can you hold down the power button to turn it off, and then hold down the power button and the volume DOWN button at the same time and boot it into the bootloader?
I've done that and it does this SD Card scanning thing and it says "p.......whatever image" not found or whatever. I've done nothing besides trying to boot it except for factory reset but that didn't help

Hi everbody!
After unlocking my LGOG (E975) a weird issued appeard: When phone is in standby and I try to boot it up as always (before unlocking) by Long pressing standby-button for a few moments, the LG logo comes up, and then only a black blank Screen (after 10 minutes or so this repeats) If I immedeately after disappearing LG-logo I press the standby-button again, the well known animated logo appears and everything is OK.
On the other Hand: when I connect a completely battery-empty LGOG ONLY the black Screen appears, after some reboots with hold standby-button the White battery loading Symbol appears...
Has it something to do with Fast-Boot (how to change any options?) or with unlocking via FreeGee. So far I was unable to find any similar issues like this... It bothers me always to press standby-button twice to boot up. If I missed the correct Timing I have to hold standby to turn off the phone correctly. Please help me!! Thank you guys!!

Same here. I wanted to write about this myself. Did you Install TWRP or CWM? Someone who useses exactly the same SW baseband kernel and LG ROM like me as a base does not have the issue and we were trying to figure it out. He unlocked installed CWM and CM10.1.

OK, so getting back to business i can see this is a problem when charging the phone. If i shutdown, then charge then in the morning unplug > phone shuts down again (from charging mode) and i power it up it doesn't boot the ROM.
I tested this situation and i saw that sometimes it doesn't even enter charging mode after a shutdown. I will test later and comeback. Maybe others can relate and give ideas.

If the battery is empty , i can not turn my phone on while charging. I think it is not even charging sometimes. I thought it was because of charger but i think it may because of phone.
Today i am charging 10 minutes still phone going black screen after LG logo. :crying: even not sure if it is charging.

Any solution for this? I have the same happen to my e975. I figure using freegee somehow corrupted the bootloader, so plan on either flashing a new bootloader or just an official update from LG and start from scratch again? Has anyone tried this?

i just gave it a shot and it's working ok, no more power up issues, i will try the charging thing when my battery runs out. thanks!
worked for me. charged fine as well. phew. Would've had to sleep on the couch if i bricked her phone

No idea mate. I assume you would have to find a full stock rom and just flash that via normal update methods. I don't plan on ever going back to the crap that LG call stock.

Guys this is normal when u empty ur batt and charge... Just leave it for a while to charge.. Happens to me also..

Happened again just now.
The problem is when it is at this strange black screen it is not charging!
Just i put my phone to charge left there 1 hours. Just wanted to turn on but didn't. Pluged of the charger and phone is not booting because battery seems to empty. Just i put it back to charge and restarted it 10 times nearly. Now the phone turned on and started to recharging from 0!
I feel like phone going and coming back to life. Some day will not turn on.
Ya.. . Lg phones has this weird behaviour.... Even with charger plugged and empty battery you can't switch on your mobile... I think it always take power from battery even with charger connected....
