Is there a way to get the old led notifications from stock roms to work with cm6.1.1? I found the setting in cyanogen settings to pick a notification color but it blinks for a second on the right side light....as someone that always has their phone on vibrate, having the solid led when I get a text or email is key....any thoughts?

I flashed the latest cm6.1 rc2 rom on my slide. I remember somewhere in the cyanogen settings there was an option to adjust the notification LED settings. Now my light just stays a solid orange whenever I get a text missed call or email. There's no blinking.
I would like to the led notification off.
I tried apps like blink. it doesnt work.
Can anyone tell me where the settings are now? or how to turn them off?
anyone know or have any idea?

I have never seen such an option, nor am I having your problem in CM6.1 RC2. I had a similar issue on a nightly build once, where when I turned the screen off it would go solid orange, but a reboot fixed it, and it never happened again. I suggest doing a wipe and reflash. Just to be safe I'd re-download the ROM as well.
The option was in older cm6 builds I was wondering where it was too

I'm new to CM and I tried it out but I noticed that the notification light (on the left side of the speaker grill) doesn't work. Instead, the one that's on the right side (dark green and amber) are the ones being used.
Is there anyway for me to get the regular notification lights back? This isn't a big deal to me but handcent lets me change how fast the led flashes and I like that.
Thanks
Unfortunately there is no way to use the left led for notifications. CM changed it between 6.0 and 6.1.
Cyanogenmod uses the wimax led for notifications. I do not believe it can he turned off but can be configure under cm settings then interface the led notifications.
Bah! Haha well that's not cool but I guess I'll just have to get used to it. Thanks guys.
Hi all, I've just missed called my gn phone to check how the led notifications are working, I see no led notification at all, no led lights anywhere on the phone to let me know I have a missed call? Is there something I need to set up, thanks

Check your notification settings
There is also an option "pulse notification light" in Display settings.
i have the same problem.
i have ticked the option "pulse notification light" in Display settings but th eLED doesnt flash after receiving a miscall. i waited a few mins and still nothing.
i know the LED works because it flashes while the caller is calling, but just switches off after the caller hangs up.
is there another notification setting for this other than the one in Display Settings?
The notification LED has been implemented pretty badly natively. In addition to not appearing very consistently it also only flashes white. Look for the app Light Flow on the market and use that instead.

Thanks Chrono.
I just saw the Light Flow app recommended on the other LED notifications thread and tried it, and it works well!
But yes i agree its seems a pretty sloppy implementation by default, i hope it gets fixed in a software update, although i probably wont be moving away from light flow with all the extra control you get with it
Has anyone been able to get their phones to have a blinking LED notification while using Go SMS pro...I enabled all the notification settings, but the LED only blinks when the screen turns on after first receiving a text message. After the screen times out, the blinking LED stops completely.
I was using handcent before and LED notification was working fine, but I was wondering if anyone figured out how to get it to work with Go SMS

I have mine setup where the screen doesn't turn on when I get a text, but it blinks like it should. When i test it, I have to turn the screen off to see the LED is working. That app has a TON of settings so I'm thinking there is something in there you can set on how long it will blink for.
Make sure the led color is set to blue. That may be it.

Does your blinking LED work, even with the screen set to turn on, unlock, and show the sms popup notification...I tried the suggestion about not having the screen turn on and just have the LED blink...that seems to work, but I was wondering if any one has figured out the right combination of settings that allows there to be a popup screen + LED notifications once the screen times out
Has anyone figured this out? I am having the same issue.
If someone figures out the exact problem the OP is having, please update and let us know. I have the same issue. PM me or something too. I'm using Xperia TX.
go sms led issue
hey there! hoping you can add some input to my quest for solving my problem.
problem is this:
i get a new message, turn the screen on, read the pop up, reply. the tesla unread app recognizes that i've seen the message and the unread message count goes away, yet the green LED keeps blinking as if i haven't seen anything. to stop the LED from notifying me about the message i just replied to, i swipe down the notifications tab and swipe it back up. then the LED stops blinking. very strange to me.
FIXED. settings needed to be changed on my phone.. not go sms app.
I just installed a new LED app called LEDBlinker Pro on my SIII (SGH-T999). It's required that the screen NOT turn on in order for the LED to blink. Despite me turning off of the "screen on" option under the app's (advanced) settings, the problem is GO SMS Pro continues to turn on the screen whenever there're incoming text messages. Thus no LED notification for me
I sent the GO Dev Team a message, but I was hoping someone else on here knows a fix. I really want to be able to use my new LED app.
Thanks in advance!
*Strangely, the LED notifications were working fine earlier this week, but then this suddenly occurred and I did not update GO SMS Pro or install any other apps recently.
I'm just wondering if notification lights are supposed to turn off after I wake up my phone. I'm currently using Cyanogenmod 10 Nov 4th build.
For example, when I get a text message, my notification light turns on and starts blinking purple (that's my setting I put)
When I turn on my phone, the light disappears. But if don't check my notification and lock my phone again, the notification light doesn't appear.
I was just wondering if this is supposed to happen as if I remember correctly from the stock Samsung Touchwiz ROM, the notification light would stay on until I check the notification and clear it from the tray.
If it's supposed to be like that, is there a way to change it so be more like Samsung's way of dealing with notifications.
Thank you so much in advance!
