[REQ] Epic / Galaxy S

i was wondering now with numerous galaxy s phones out if its possible to get a galaxy s rom? I know their are themes such as this

and you can always install the touchwiz launcher, but id love the galaxy s rom for things such as the drop down bar with all the toggles, the look (the theme does a decent job covering that)
and a fully working bottom dock, that rip sometimes doesnt work perfectly.
idk if its possible or if it ever will be?
also (I havent tried it yet, looking for a epic 4g dump, but is it possible to install the galaxy s camera apk on an evo?)

The TouchWiz UI is what you're looking for but I don't think the widgets or notification bar have been ported yet.

well is the touchwiz UI the apk file?
because the key things im looking for are of course the look (like the theme) but the main functionalities im wanting are the notification bar, bottom dock bar and camera rip if it can support the 8mp cam

The touchwiz apk will give you the bottom bar.
Nothing has the notification toggles yet, but I know someone on team douche is planning to implement it.
Camera will probably be too different, and at best we might see a theme.

camera apk would be fantastic...and the lock screen too...serious improvment over evo there

Camera would be nice itll be more than just an apk I'm sure...
Touch wiz is pretty ugly imo..

+1 I have both phones and compared side by side Sense is much nicer imo

comparing both side by side touch wiz comes out a loser to sense.
However, the task bar drop down with 4 radio control buttons is something I anxiously await!

Sense and Touchwiz are a no no... Launcher Pro is where its at IMO. I immediately installed LP on my buddy's Epic and he couldn't be happier.
I'm just pissed the super amoled does 16MILLION colors and we only get 65,000. Boo. Did i mention it also requires no power for black color? damn battery life, got me again.
What i want from the Epic? I want the ability to change the brightness by dragging left/right at the top of the screen by the notifications bar. BOOM, that would be clutch!

Isolate Unlock screen out of darkys / jumbas neongt

hi, im currently on darkys v9.3 beta 1... and what i liked most about it was the new android lock screen..
but when i flashed neon theme

is there a way to isolate the new lock screen and flash only this ?

nobody has a clue?
..tried some lock screen replacement apps.... everything crap.. doenst really work correctly ..
where are the lockscreen data on the device?

Lockscreens are integrated in a lot of things. Some system apk files are involved and not so easy edited. The neo theme needs to be updated for the extra lockscreen.
When you know what you are doing you can make a theme by yourself, but it takes a lot of time.....

[Q] Epic MTD Lockscreen Animation

Hi, I didn't know whether to ask this here or in the development thread, I do not have 10 posts yet so i guess here.
I'm on epic mtd cm7, and was wondering if anyone knew how to disable the animation that happens when you unlock the phone. It just kinda zooms in on the lock or whatever is it. It seems to lag a lot on this part and disabling window animations did not help.
Also, is the lockscreen unlock button going to be themed? It looks a little weird with everything themed blue or green except for that...

Question about dialer themeing

I love all the themes out there for our Note II and thank the devs for it.
But there's one thing I noticed. On every mod that theme the dialer, I saw that the pressed state of the dialer buttons is the same as stock Samsung in every single theme (dark bluish). Is there no way to theme that state? Not a very big deal but I think it breaks the uniformity in some themes.

Hi,
Yes it is possible to theme that.
In fact anything can be themed.
It's just a matter of finding the correct strings/png's to change/edit

Need touchwiz ROM with soft key navbar.

My wife's sgs2 nav bar died. So I flashed slimbean which has a softkey nav bar capability and that rom kicks ass. Problem is that its her phone and she misses touchwiz. Specifically the calendar. So is the anyone out there that can point me to a rom with touchwiz and softkey nav bar, or even better, guide me to a thread that helps me install softkey nav in the Jedi mind trick ROM? Please help guys.

Thanks man, but those are a no go. Tried the first one and its just a pain (it does work in a pinch, just not suitable for daily use). The second one doesn't install nav softkeys, it just allows you to change their properties if the phone already has nav softkeys, which slimbean already has that customization ability baked in.

oo ok scratch that an maybe try this but not promissed but staying on slim but giving her the Touch wiz 5 launcher that way she can still use the stocky look but still have the navbar maybe ???? if not i hate to say it here but you can try out JellyBam on goo.im and in there settings you can download the TW launcher for her or even paranoid since they have the most customization out there and or stable jelly milestone 6 was the stable and true just a thought to try and help

Use whatever rom you like, with the navigation bars you want. Then pay a couple bucks for pure grid calendar widget. Its pretty much the same as the touchwiz Calender widget....plus themes for it.

I would open the phone and see if the ribbon did not pop out. Replacing is expensive( not the keypad, but the screen) as you have to get the screen out and good chance for damaging. Keypad is cheap.

Thanks for the replies. I have actually taken the phone apart and the ribbon cable was in place. Not really interested in a widget either, but it is a nice widget. I did however find this:
