I noticed that if I scroll through Marketplace for apps, e.g. under All-New, after scrolling down for sometime, maybe 10 to 20 mins, sometimes shorter, my Marketplace app will hang. If I try to go back to Home screen and start the app again, it will not start.
Anyone encounter this problem?
I'm using HD7.
Thanks.
Hi Zard,
yes, this is a known issue/bug.

Thanks. Thought I was the only with that problem.

It happens on my HTC Surround as well, a simple reset corrects the issue.

im wondering if anyone has seen this before, when ever i click on the marketplace or music + zune apps it goes to the loading screen but then eventually after a few seconds goes back to app list and does not enter the app. I rebooted the phone and worked for a little bit and then started doing this again.
btw, i am using a Focus, which i just got yesterday.
Known bug with WP7, only a reboot will fix it. One of the fixes we would like to see from MS ASAP. Please post your issue here http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/windowsphone7/threads, maybe MS will eventually fix the glaring errors with the OS.
Been having a problem just in the last couple of days with the screen on my Samsung Focus flickering. Usually when opening one of my email apps. It will load up, then load/flicker again at least once. If I select something before it flickers, I have to repeat what I was doing.
Slightly frustrating. Anybody have this issue? Or know of a fix? I see it listed on the wp7 forums on MS, but they seem to think its only an HTC bug.

In your experience, does Dolphin HD often stop responding?
Every few minutes, while waiting for a page to finish loading, an error box pops up, saying Dolphin HD has stopped responding, Force Close or Wait.
I click on "Wait", and the page finishes loading. All is well until the next slow-loading page, and it happens again and again.
Does Dolphin do this to you?
Once in a blue moon it does, but it doesn't happen enough to really bug me. I'm trying to think if it does it on my phone, but I don't browse that much on it since I have the tablet.

Thanks for the reply, @reverendbill.
I uninstalled Dolphin HD, thien reinstalled it, and so far it hasn't choked.
(Crosses fingers).
Ive had this happen to me for awhile. Uninstalled, reinstalled, and they did stop for awhile... just to come back again. I went back to stock browser.
I wonder if its a cache thing, like when you exit, you have the option to clear it out. Wonder if that helps.

Dude, dolphin hasn't given me the first problem yet. What are you running with dolphin? (Like plug-ins) and what else do you have installed that requires internet besides keeping track of updates?
ummmmm............ could you repeat that?
Hi guys,
My Galaxy Nexus has a weird issue that I can't seem to figure out whether it is caused by software or hardware. A portion of my screen seems to flicker when I have certain apps open. They all have a common cause. For instance when I open Chrome and begin to do a search from the top I notice the drop down results will flicker in sync with the cursor. It doesn't appear that the whole screen flickers. It only seems to be the drop down results which are typically black text on white backgroud that flicker. I don't notice anything similar within all other apps such as the standard messaging app which have blinking cursors. I can also get the same flickering result in my IMDB Movie app while starting a search within the app which will start to display results that faintly flicker. I have never seen it flicker using a screen testing app such as the ones used for detecting dead pixels. I am not sure if this is something has always existed on my phone, but I noticed this about a week ago while still on 4.1.2. I am now on 4.2 and still have the issue. I attempted a factory reset just to see if that would clear it up but it didn't. Has anyone else experienced this or have some insight for the flickering? I wanted to see if anyone has noticed this before I start the whole Samsung tech process!
One additional observation I made is that when I don't notice the flickering within Chrome,it will remain without any issue until I go and start clearing recent apps.
Thanks,
Jay
Sounds stupid but you sure its not an auto-brightness issue? Samsung phones are known to have crazy auto brightness but anyway try clearing the cache for each app that seems affected....check back let us know what happens
Thanks for the response. I have turned off auto brightness and tried manual brightness settings with the same result. It hasn't become worse, but I can't explain it either way. I have tried clearing the cache for chrome and other apps, but that also hasn't improved things. I am wondering if I try flashing the phone with a fresh stock image instead of just a factory reset since that automatically re-downloaded my apps. I have never done any modifications (root or unlock) so I am not sure that would really help. Maybe the screen is beginning to go bad, but I figured it would flicker when using a screen test app. It only flickers on the white background for specific app search results (ex. Chrome, IMDB, and Zillow).
Thanks again,
Jay
So I did some more troubleshooting and I started uninstalling apps to see if I could find an app causing the issue if it was software. For some reason if I am running my XDA Forum app and leave it running in the recent apps list then I don't get the flicker within Chrome or other apps that have search with drop down results. It is just the search results that flicker and not the whole screen. As soon as I swipe away the XDA app then the flickering returns. I tried uninstalling the XDA app and the flickering continues. It is fairly subtle. I could try a factory reset again and not allow Google to re-install my apps and see if that resolves the issue, but it is very strange overall. I swung over to a Verizon store that still had one on display (even though mine is a GSM model)and noticed there unit had similar behavior and it could be a coincidence. It is pretty subtle, but I am confused why the XDA app keeps it from doing it.

Has it ever happened to you? It has happened to me a few times lately. It looks like a gpu failure to me, the screens just gets all f-ed up, with graphical corruption in places, but it only happened to me when using youtube, I never had any other app crash my phone like that (or crash my phone at all). After that happens, the hardware buttons still responds and the sound of the video I was watching continues to play (for a while, then it starts stuttering and dies), but the screen remains glitched and doesn't move. The only thing I can do when that happens is hard reset the phone with power + vol-up.
Happend too me2h ago, same thing, screen went gray. Had to do hard reset

Do you think this is some weird incompatibilty with our phone or does it happen to other phones too? I was looking through the comments (which have been mostly negative lately), many people complain about the app being slow and not loading video in a huge range of phones (from Galaxy SIII to old crappy phones), but none complains about crashing. Also, other than the random crashing (which is rare) it's working perfectly for me. I wonder what causes it.
