[APP] Dell Stage UI Launcher & Widgets

This has been posted in other device specific forums. Works on the Galaxy S. Just download and install individual APK's.
This launcher requires Froyo 2.2.

Does this version work with dialer or does it have to be modified like aosp had to be to work with samsung dialer?
It is a great launcher having the speed scroll through pages with swipe on the bottom too bad the widgets dont have any options.

Doesn't work with the samsung phone app. Doesnt let you log onto facebook using the Social widget. Everything else worked pretty well.

Yeah same here but i like it.Only need to figured out the phone aplication anyone know how to assigned it?
The email app doesnt work too well also i mean doesnt show the last emails u have to add the account to see it

It may be in the manifest of either the launcher or the phone app. I will have a look after.

Would be nice if you could upload it somewhere else. This one is very slow. :-( It's stuck at 6% and now i can wait for half an hour.

Solved the prolem. Thanks for sharing.

app drawer is very laggy and widgets are not working well. If someone can optimazed apk will be very good launcher.

I see in your signature that you are running eclair rom unless u changed to froyo.This app is only for froyo.My app launcher is ok without lagg.

sorry but Im on froyo JPA if I hit app drawer my progs loading about 3 min I have 80 app's instaled

Just to be clear, this only works with Froyo. There are some problems with speed and reliability issues as this was pulled from the Streaks upcoming 2.2 update.

Can someone post some pics of the launcher/widgets?

Youtube app not working??

Wondering if its just me or what? When i open up youtube it says "this list can't be viewed", I can still search and view videos, it just doesn't show my subscriptions. Anybody else having this problem?

Yea I had the same issue! So I uninstalled the youtube app then downloaded a older version I found here. The current version on the Market seems to be broken! Works great now. Here is the link!

No but the new YouTube update broke my voice actions. When I try and use it this windows pops up and tells me to sign in. I have to re-click it again for it to work. Damn Google framework interfering. Anyone else have this problem?

I was upset because all of my subs were missing and no matter what I tried nothing would show. Checked the Market and pretty much everyone who had either updated or just installed was rating the app 1 star with the same problem. So definitely has to do with their latest update.
I'm running this older version and its working like a charm. Also if you have your apps set to automatically update, you should go in there and check that off so that you don't accidentally run an update that might cause this type of problem in the future.
I've done it in the past where I will allow automatic updating on all apps, and paid the price when an update just seems to be bad. So double check that in your app settings from the market.

I just use the browser and maximize.

Facebook cannot upload photo

I've had this problem on every single rom and even my other android phone, the sidekick 4g. I've bee using myalbum for the past month or so , but I prefer the Facebook app uploader, any solution ? Seems that many people are having this problem.

Still can't get it to work, I'm pretty sure nothing is wrong with either of the phones, i tried a 3g slide also and it didn't work. Could someone maybe give me like a step by step thing for maybe security settings? I don't see any relating to the fb app, also looking at the apps settings, theres nothing that says facebook for android.

It works just fine with other devices. I thought it could be setting in facebook but it works everywhere but on my SGS3. And I think problem started after the last update of the app.

Agree, I have latest Rocket Rom v7 on my Galaxy Note and I get same error with the latest Facebook update. It's cleary a program error since I can upload pictures to Facebook with FaceUp!
I think this is really frustrating and I hope that FB will fix this.

Works on neither of my android phones. Desktop works of course, maybe ill try from a non android phone?

What carrier do you have? if its simple mobile, i experienced this problem, and had problems loading facebook/browser.
I deleted the proxy in my simple mobile APN settings
Working now!

I have T-Mobile , but I don't think that matters because it doesn't work on either wifi or 4g

Try to change visibility settings when upload a photo.

Try clearing app data in your applications settings for the app.

Nope didn't work, and for visibility , I can only change the visibility for individual pictures in the mobile uploads album , unless im missing something?

I don't know the fix for this, but for alternative tool you could use the Instagram app and it's doing great job posting pictures.

I use myalbum to upload pictures and It works fine , kinda used to it now, I was just hoping that I can get the actual fb app to work

same issue
i always thought it was a network error because restarting the phone usually worked but i was at the races in watkins glen this weekend with a full 4g connection on all areas i was in and it wouldnt load anything. restarted pulled battery i even tried differant albums and differant camera apps i tried everything it would not upload a photo. So after this weekend i believe its a facebook app error and really needs to be looked into

How to Beam to TV?

On my first night with my Galaxy S3 I was playing around with the phone checking out the Gallery app. When I start pressing some random icon on the UI while viewing one picture and it then it pops up on my TV(Panasonic ST30 with wifi). I was taken by surprise that I could do this. Let alone that this was possible.
I've since rooted and began to remove a few apps and I'm not sure if I removed the particular app that deals with it.
Anyone know how to do this again? What exact app I SHOULDN'T have removed?

I wish that was it. But i installed it again to no avail. Guess I'll have to reinstall a ROM.

Why is Google Maps trying to piss me off? (Screenshot)

My girlfriend and I have the same phone (Samsung Galaxy Note II), same ROM (teshx's stock updates) same settings and similar software and yet look what Google Maps has been doing to my phone OUT OF THE BLUE for the past four days.
Is it trying to piss me off or something? Because it's working. I barely even use my phone for anything and now it's as if I'm constantly using Navigation or something.
The second screenshot is of my girlfriend's battery usage.
I went through side-by-side at all the settings and they're identical, so what the hell is going on and is there an easy way to quickly diagnose it?

I'm having the same issue but with Google + it keeps turning on automatically And running on the background... this is new to me. Wtf is going on?

Try going into map, menu, settings, location settings, and uncheck everything (if you haven't already)

For some reason I cannot see attached files on XDA, but I am guessing your complaint is about battery?
I had something similar after I started playing Ingress. It seemed that Maps was constantly using battery and kept showing me "Google Maps has stopped" messages, freezing up my phone for 5 seconds or so. Way I fixed was to roll back updates. Now it's perfect. I will try updating it again, and see what happens.

If you guys don't have the same apps, that could be it. There are a lot of apps that use the maps for location to. I had a app that was using my maps like that and had to delete it.

^ This. You have some app that is hooking into location services that is running all the time that she doesn't have on her phone. The facebook app is famous for this, but there are others that use "Check In" or Messenger type functions that will constantly ping your location.

Try GREENIFY APP (only root).maybe helps. It works really good for me. And im using beautiful widgets, weather bug, fb.running all the time.

Just go to Maps in app settings and clear cache and data. I bet your issue gets solved

You might also want to turn off google's location services when you're using the browser. Google Now also runs up the map usage because it's using the location services as well (that's how it gets those amazing cards to show up). So it's not just using the actual Maps or Navigation that may be running up your battery.
