Ability to multi-task unconditionally when on mains power - Windows Phone 7 General

I've posted a suggestion on the Microsoft forums:
"Can the January update please include the ability to multi-task unconditionally when on mains power? I think that this solves the majority of issues since when you are at work or driving you would be able to keep the phone on charge and do what you like with it without affecting the battery. It's pretty much the ideal solution in my opinion."
I would appreciate it if anyone who agrees with me could show their support on that thread and also here, since it might be against the rules to suggest discussing things elsewhere.

Thanks

Use push notifications when on mains power, but turn it off when on battery power
Also:
"Can the next update also include an option to use push notifications when on mains power, but turn it off when on battery power?
In addition it would be nice to have a way to update everything manually with one action, including emails, people hub, and selected apps such as RSS feeds."

Sorry to say that,
but that is completely, totally idiotic idea.
It should multitask, without any dependance on battery charging!
Do you imagine people running around with chargers looking for electricity
to make the phone multitask?!
Lol that is unbelievable.
Just cannot believe it.
I think we should ask MS to disable long calls when NOT charging
because THAT eats battery!!!

You can get banned for talking in that tone, but that aside, it's not an idiotic idea. When would you ever need to multitask on the go? Dual tasking, yes; but not multi-tasking. The main times I want multitasking are when I'm in one place, like work or the car. If lots of apps were running all the time then I'd run out of power quickly, so I like the idea of not being able to run more than two apps when on a battery, but I don't see why the same restriction should apply when power isn't an issue. There's simply no reason for it.
And calls hardly take any power, especially on GSM, so do your research before pretending to know what you're talking about next time.

I'd imagine they'll probably go the same route as Apple and use specific cooperative multitasking. That allows the appearance of multitasking for those apps that request it while allowing the system to stay responsive, in complete control and keeps the CPU time low compared to full pre-emptive multitasking. The iPhone demonstrates that these devices don't need pre-emptive "like a computer" multitasking to be useful and WinMo demonstrated that the hardware (yes, even the Snapdragon...remember that mess LG tried to sell last year?) isn't up to the task anyway. That is the only solution that really makes any sense to me.

lost, stolen phone recovery App (idea)

First off, this is my first post (correction, THREAD), so I'm very sorry if it's not in the right section..
this one's for all you talented developers, i know you guys are good, so maybe take a look and tell me the feasability of this...
Well, I had an idea for an app, that assists in those moments when a phone is lost/stolen that would utilize the gps, g sensor, and or bluetooth/wifi...
something like this,
say you loose your phone. Your buddy pulls out his smartphone, and opens the same app (you would already have installed the app on yours or this would be useless) and he could go online, or something, open his bluetooth,,, something, that would sync to your device, and activate the app in the background. Then your device would give away its location, and info regaurding if it is totaly stationary (like left it in the crack of a sofa) or non stationary (someone who just stole it is holding it, playing with it) and all this without the thief knowing, it all runs in the back ground. Utilizing the compass on your buddies phone, it will guide you in the right direction, and, i dunno, beep or flash like a radar indicating distance to stolen/lost phone...
now, sometimes the battery runs flat and then you lose your phone, or the thieves played with it enough and theres no juice left. One could maybe solve this solution by tricking the OS into thinking it has, lets say 5% less battery than it actually has, this shutting the phone off when only 5% (or however much an app like this would need) remains, so the app can run, without turning the screen on i could imagine you could get a good 20-30 minutes. i think it should be an app that runs totaly in the background, so in the case that its stolen, the thief doesnt run away or rip the battery out to shake you.
There could also be a 'panic' button, similair to a car alarm panic button, the would set an alarm off (maybe a really loud annoying siren/beeping) that can only be disabled with a pass code... and if your cam has a flash, that could be flashing too.....
another idea, if the whole wireless doesnt work that way (I love tech, but i can't say that i know exactly how everythign works) maybe a high pitched tone could be emitted, on a certain frequency just above what we can hear, and could be read by your buddies phone, indicating relative distance and location... and annoy all the dogs in the park.
ah, somehow i think this is 90% not possible, but it would be cool it if was.
Maybe something like this already exists, maybe not. I didn't really do my homework.
let me know what you think!
.n
apologies for my horrendous spelling...
it's just been going downhill these days.
do your homework. there's already apps on this board that are exactly doing this. Basically anything you wrote except messing around with your dogs. oh and bluetooth is only for small range connections as is wifi! usually such applications are controlled by hidden sms messages. scroll down few more pages and the first app should already jump into your face.
oh, really?
Like i said, I didnt do too much reasearch into the subject, i probably should have though...
well, thats great then! is there an app with all of these features? because if, then i can stop dreaming and start downloading!!!
thanks :=)

Can one Gadget (AKA The Desire) do it all?

Hey People, the more I use this excellent phone the more I wonder can it really replace all of my gadgets on a day to day basis?
I wrote a piece on my blog about this in detail, but what do you think?
Gadgets I use the most on a day to day basis are:
Laptop - Internet and E-mail
Camera
Sat Nav
Phone
PMP - Music and Video's
My verdict was 99% a yes, and close to 100%.
Any thoughts!
It can do VOIP/SIP over HSDPA extremely well with a little help from SipDroid which I just set-up. Yay, for the Desire. ^_^ And for cheap calls!!
As for the laptop replacement it's quite adequate for my morning commute to work but when I need to do something fiddly like setup my PBX I prefer to tether my laptop.
As for replacing everything else, yeah pretty much, although whether it can replace one's girlfriend/boyfriend/significant other is a matter for debate.
LOL since when has ones, Girlfriend/Boyfriend etc, been a gadget? (why do I feel like that will spawn innuendo?)
I bought because if this!
Finally AIO device
Internet and E-mail
Camera(before used camera)
Sat Nav
Phone
Music and Video's(before used MP4)
It could, if the battery technology was at a point where the phone could last a decent amount of time when playing videos, music, making calls and surfing. If you do everything on your phone it zaps the battery. That's why I'm keeping my cowon s9 for video/music use.

That's a valid point. I spend a lot of time on the road in my car, so a car charger helps with that!
yes i think that HTC DESIRE is the AIO device anyone needs. but the concern and main problem is here too....if i use all the features all day i only get up to the evening max...then charger is on
So would you compromise the look to interoperate a bigger battery? That's the question here?

I think I don't need extra battery, it can last for one day if I use all it's features
I couldn't compromise on the shape, I'm hoping that a 2000mah + extended battery that is the same size will be released. I've actually been using my laptop to charge my desire on the go, lol.
i must say that its replaced a my ipod touch and n97 (email client on n97 was poor, video playback wasn't great and music player could have been better and sat nav was far too buggy) but i have to say i've been really taken with it, picks up emails faster than my outlook does for gmail, screen is fantastic, battery life is roughly the same as my itouch after a day's usage and since google maps navigation has come along its become even better! hopefully a bigger battery will be released soon as mentioned above
I have been a big PC user for most of my life and found I spent many hours on it each day catching up with whatever is happening online, etc.
Since getting this phone, I've actually found I spend half the time on the computer as I used to. I can happily be elsewhere and be able to catch up on forums through my phone with no discomfort
Technology is meant to make life easier and more efficient. The desire has certainly done that for me.
Battery , for me, is the biggest issue.
If we can get a better battery, it would be superb.
I use the phone a lot. (I haven't made a single call with it yet either as my number has still to transfer over).
But, I don't manage to last the whole day without needing a charge early evening.
I think once the novelty of the phone has worn off it will be better, but even then, it's not as if I've been using it so heavily.
Small amount of Satnav to test it out.
Fair amount of internet during the day (switching between mobile data and wireless depending on proximity of wifi network).
Screen more often than not turned almost all the way down, unless light doesn't permit.
I never get through a full day without a charge...
Is there something I'm doing wrong?
Are there any apps which export the phone's current settings, so that the set-up can be analysed by others (like the nice people on here) in order to work out a more power efficient set up?

You will see looking around these forums there is a lot of discussion an battery life! Personally I find that there are certain Apps that seem to drain my battery very quickly. One culprit for some reason seemed to be the 'Sky News' app? I dont have a list of apps that cause it but like I said read a few of the battery threads and it will give you some idea. The Sat Nav is a huge drain on the battery, and even when connected to my current car charger it drains quicker than it charges. I know why, its because my car charger is only kicking out .5a unlike the required 1a that the device needs (needless to say a better car charger is on its way).
But normally I can get a day out of it no problem. And If I use the Sat Nav its gonna be plugged in to a charger anyway...
I am happier with my Desire than than any other gadget I'be owned. The only problem is memory for apps. I'v havent got that many but I'm still short on space. what's the point in having a superphone if you can't show it off? I have 8 gig memory card but can't use any that space for apps! Madness!
Apps are limited un production by this and won't be a real co.tender to the iPhone appstore until it's solved.
If anyone know how to get apps on to SD on the desire please let me know. Would make this thing pretty perfect.
Sent from my HTC Desire using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk
Desire can replace a lot of gadgets but it's definitely not a replacement for a laptop or a camera.
IMHO, no. I've used it for a few weeks now, and at one point considered replacing my current phone with it but...
1. Appalling battery life, maybe a working day of usage, and if I'm having to put it on charge in the evening, I'm not using it.
2. Lack of stability - applications crash out at random, shutdowns frequently hang. If I have to take the battery out to reset it, a real pain if I'm out walking, it's not ready for frontline use. While I've been typing this, the browser has completely locked up.
3. Flash memory shortage; when it's rooted, or the OS supports install-to-card, this won't be a problem, but I'm not prepared to spend a lot of time managing memory. If I need to spend a lot of time maintaining the device, I might as well use WM.
4. Odd Calendar syncing - I've mentioned it elsewhere, but I want control of how my calendars are synced to the device; Android doesn't give me that. If I want to look back a few months and check the last time I took a leave day, it may not have synced. Shabby.
5. GPS - I imagine Copilot works well on this, but a few hours testing Google Maps Navigation at the weekend really brought out serious flaws, particularly when passing through areas with no cellular data coverage. A SatNav system has to sit in the dashboard mount and just work reliably for the whole trip or it's worthless, GMN didn't.
It's a nice device to play with, and there are some good, useful applications, but I need a reliable phone, and this isn't it. Hopefully the Evo will be.

[Q] SE liveview

Does anyone know how well the xperia play works with SE's liveview? I heard many people had bluetooth problems if they had less then 50MB free RAM on their phones (Seems weird :/) But I have nearly 250MB of free ram after a few days of normal usage and an update fixed a lot of peoples problems. But still it seems a bit phone specific, did anyone test it with a xperia play?
For those who wonder what liveview is: http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/products/accessories/overview/liveviewmicrodisplay
2th oled display for cell phones working over bluetooth, you could wear it as watch for example.
It's supposed to be functional with all 2.x.x Android phones, and Sony Ericsson's website even states it on the compatibility list.
All sources seem to point to "yes" =].
I know it's compatible, but a lot of people had problems with specific phones that where officially supported. They had a lot of random disconnects on certain phones.
yes.... i am using with XP and the disconnection issue is still there with latest firmware update.
got it as well but i dont thing its ram related
I have it, it does work, albeit a little sketchy at times. More often then not it pisses me off, the clock works ok on it, the Facebook almost never updates, forget about text messages showing up. RSS feeds on it quickly pile up and a lot of the apps you find in the market just don't work well. For instance, some of the apps lock the watch into that app only, the only thing to do at that point is a hard reset by holding power for 15 seconds. Hard reset is something you become very use to with this thing. Intermittently it loses connection for no reason at all, sometimes it even refuses to connect, doesn't matter which firmware you have installed.
The battery life on the thing is flat out horrible too, if you're lucky it will make it through the day, but only if you barley use it. I've grown accustomed to shutting off my phones Bluetooth and using it for a watch only, it will keep time but not access the apps without Bluetooth, at least that way I can make it more than a day with the clock function. It does control the music player pretty well, even displays the artist and title on the phone. It has a pretty cool function to dismiss call too, although not to answer them. The interface on the watch itself doesn't lag much, its pretty snappy when it works. Another glaring issue is how hard it is to remove from the watch band to charge the thing, the sucker snaps in there very tightly and the first few times its nearly impossible to remove, after awhile though it will become very lose from constantly inserting it and removing it. I got around this by purchasing a third party watch strap and bending a slight curve in it near the mini usb port, I can actually charge it while its mounted on the watch now.
Overall though, this thing is a gimmicky piece of ****, splendid way to waste money with little satisfaction return. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
I have Liveview and im using it with my Xperia X8
Build
Build Quality is not that good, specially it pops out in the clip every now and then, because of Bad Design.
but you can sort it out by changing the strap or have a customized strap and make your liveview permanent on the clip, so no more accidentally popping out in the clip.
but for me i just used a double adhesive tape at the back and sides of liveview so it will stick to its clip no more problems after that
Connectivity
I have used it on SE Stock Eclair 2.1.1 and even Custom Rom 2.2.1/2.3.4, and updated Liveview and Liveware Application, It's Pretty stable and no Annoying disconnections, and really depends on available RAM you have actually, In my X8 i got a maximum of 80mb Ram after starting the liveview/liveware app to run it, but if my ram goes like 25mb(lowest) then disconnections issues will occur.
that happens only when playing games that are ram hungry.
I used it everyday when i go out usually 8hrs a day and i will have 1 or 2 disconnections, but after i reconnect it it will in 2-3s and its fine again.
Liveview Updates
Messaging/Calls/Miss Calls are instant, but i cannot say the same way with Facebook/Twitter/RSS feeds, but you can update them manually
Plugins
There are alot of available plugins in the market right now, but some simple plugins that you might need is still not available, for me i want a Notes plugin, but no luck at all
Battery Life
It can last up-to 2-3 days of 8hrs a day on a single charge, really depends on how you use it.
When would choose to use this over your phone? it seems to do nothing more than what your phone does?

WIMM One vs I'm Watch

Hey everyone, I'm looking to buy a casual watch. (something less than 500 bucks) I'm really interested in both the WIMM One and I'm Watch. I have looked at the specs and reviews, but I'd like some opinions. both look like they have a lot of potential. I do like the I'm Watch's curved screen. but the WIMM One looks like its got a bit more tech on it. What do you think? I want the most bang for my buck
Personally, I'm looking at the WIMM. Both from a cost perspective and from a battery life one.
The I'm Watch can do speakerphone, which the WIMM can't, but, really, I don't see myself using a speakerphone on a watch very often.
The dual-mode screen on the WIMM is a huge plus, in my book, as is the open-ness of the developer platform (something that I haven't seen much of with the I'm Watch).
Apps / Dev Support will make or break these devices.
I think I like the WIMM too. I have to ask, do you feel its worth getting the developer preview? perhaps I should tough it out and wait for a consumer release?
Well, I finally broke down and ordered a dev preview. It should be here in the next week or so.
After I get it, I'll let you know.
Awesome, Thanks!
Checked on my order status...
I should get it Wednesday or Thursday.
Early Christmas for me!
I've had the WIMM for a little less than a day now, and so far, the experience has been pretty good.
The only complaint I have is that Bluetooth does not want to reconnect to my phone if I let it get out of range. I have to un-pair, then re-pair the two.
Other than that, everything works wonderfully.
The display is amazing. Full color mode looks great, and the B&W LCD is amazingly crisp.
I haven't had it long enough to comment on the battery life, but so far today, after taking it off the charger six hours ago, I'm at 60%(ish) battery. Granted, it has seen only light usage, but, honestly, as a watch, I'm impressed.
I'll try to answer any questions, but so far I can definitely recommend getting one.
I got my WIMM in yesterday, and let it charge for the suggested three hours first. It's been on my wrist for the past eight hours and I'm still at 90%.
I've gotten really good at the swipe controls now; it's second nature.
My young daughter keeps playing the tilt ball puzzle game I downloaded from the WIMM beta forum.
I keep using the News reader app from the same place. That one alone, even though it's using sync'd data and isn't pulling realtime, is going to keep me happy with the watch because it's great for passing time in bed, while waiting, etc. It works surprisingly well on the small screen.
I have it set to sync my Google Calendars every few hours. Fantastic, having my appointments right there. (One included watchface even shows the next item.)
Having weather and time on my wrist for my favorite work and pleasure locations around the world is handy.
I downloaded a Christmas watchface with falling snow, which is fun to show off.
Just now, my wife asked for a wakeup in a half hour, so I pulled up the alarm app and a few seconds later I had one set to remind me. So easy.
The only problem I'm having is getting ADB to recognize the darned thing. Once I get past that common new-Android-device problem, I'm going to be creating some apps myself for it. First, probably a family picture viewer.
By itself, the WIMM looks bulky. On my wrist, with the way they sloped the wrist band carrier, it looks fine. Love the magnetic charging cradle, btw.
Now I wish I'd bought a couple for Christmas presents to my stepsons who love gizmos.
Heading towards 24 hours now, and still at 50%.
However, I am not using the Bluetooth. Just a WiFi auto sync every 3 hours.
I really like that whenever the watch goes into standby mode after a few seconds, the screen turns into a transflective B&W LCD image that is updated once a minute. Saves battery and yet the watchface is always visible unless it's dark... and then just a slight tap brings up the backlight and full color.

Thanks Ted. I'm constantly adding on more Android devices for development, so I'm used to having a bit of trouble now and again. I thought at first it was because I only have the R3 usb drivers from Google. I also inserted a line in the usb inf file with the WIMM ID.
After reading comments by others, I finally found that I just had to hold the module down tight in the dock paddle while my laptop was talking to it. I've cleaned the contacts, but it just seems that they don't make good connections by themselves all the time. Overall, though, that's a relatively minor annoyance.
Hi kdarling, I wonder if you could help me by answering a couple of questions about the WIMM one as although there are a few reviews online I cant seem to find all the answers I was after
1) I assume this doesnt currently have GPS? It doesnt seem to mention it in any of the reviews so I assume not, and if so then thats a shame since there is real potential here for this to be the ideal "athlete" device which could log your training routes/speed etc especially in cases where you might not want to take your phone with you
2) How well does the Transflective screen work? Ive seen in reviews that it is updated every minuite but is that adjustable in the app? Again the reason I am asking is for sports being outside in the sun a "normal" LCD screen is unusable, but a transflective screen would be perfect for displaying stats like speed etc but only if it were updating more often then every minuite
3) how "easy" is it to develop apps for this? Again as mentioned I can see a real sporting potential for this device if you were able to launch apps that were specific for the sport you were doing (i.e. one for running, rowing, cyling etc) that displayed the data you wanted
If you could help with my questions would be great, have been looking/waiting for a dvice like this for a while really, just as shame that theres no GPS as thats an essential requirement really..
I'm not kdarling, but I have one of these as well, so let me take a stab at answering...
1) The device does have GPS, but, according to WIMM, that particular chip is disabled (via software) currently for power saving / performance reasons. I'm not positive, but I believe that the device could receive GPS information from a connected phone also.
2) The Transflective screen is absolutely amazing. The clarity is much better than I was expecting. Currently, there is no method to adjust the refresh rate for the apps that use that screen mode. From what I've been able to ascertain, the refresh rate can be specified within a given application. However, that seems to have a fairly negative effect on the battery life.
3) I'm not a "real" developer, so I honestly can't speak on this... However, having said that, I will state that it seems very marginally more difficult that developing for most other android devices, mostly due to the inherent with a device of this size/specs/interface.
I can say that this device, as it is right now, is absolutely fantastic. It has the potential to provide a tremendous impact in everyday life with a few minor tweaks, but even without any changes, it has made a significant impact so far for me.

AH thats brilliant thanks!Very interesting to hear that it does contain GPS then, even if it is disabled, since that suggests in future it may be able to activate it for those times when you would need it, and then disable it when you need battery life!
Will keep a close eye on this I think...

As long as it has a 40 hour or so battery life it's not much differernt than using a manual wristwatch.
I'd have to say though compared to the I'm Watch the wimm one is really ugly.
@carnagecjb Great reply. I couldn't have said it better myself.
@stelph By your use of the word "brilliant", I surmise that you live outside of the U.S. Good and bad news. Bad: We don't ship the WIMM One outside of the US yet, since we're still waiting for CE certification.
Good news: We just started a contest where I will send you a free unit - anywhere in the world - once you have created and posted a good app to our forums. See the Announcements within dev.wimm.com

Many of us at WIMM Labs have created our own straps. Because the module pops out of the strap, you can place it into whatever attachment you like. I use a wide leather strap (pict attached). Other says that its ugly, but Beauty is in the eye...

Personally I wouldn't want to because the battery isn't big enough to support regular calling and last the rest of the day

All i care about is the ability to make calls. Like on the iWatch. Sure I am not gonna use it all the time, nobody does actually, it just comes in handy in certain occasions. I understand your perspective.

Calling is is a joke on the apple watch. The battery is a laughable 200mah. Everyone I know that uses one can't even make it though 13hours without it dieing so I can imagine how fast it would die if you made calls. Lets not forget that they display is always off on it too. I can see how you might want to have the feature but for me its not a necessity.
AndroidPolice updated their article with Huaweis response. They essentially did everything but answer the main question although they did hint at adding things that might be useful in the future.

Same here. At first, I thought calling was cool, but the more I thought about it, why would I want to hear someone's voice out of a small speaker anyways? I can see how it could be useful for driving, but that's what Bluetooth headsets are for, and actually a lot of cars come with Bluetooth
It's interesting that you bring up the calling feature on the Apple Watch. I was wondering if people even use it. If they do, do they even like it? Apple is starting to become gimmicky

I've seen one person use it that I know and its really funny to watch. I can't imagine how much battery it would use and i personally wouldn't bother with it. There's a reason why the LTE/3G smart watches have a battery that's 2x bugger than the standard one

I had an Apple Watch for almost 2 months. To be honest, the battery life on that device was consistent and, in comparison to virtually all Android Wear devices, very good. I was always at 60% battery at 6pm with my start of the day being 6am...and I use my devices a lot.
As for calling, it's an added tool that you use when appropriate. It's a life saver when your hands are dirty or otherwise occupied. A good, random example is when you're cooking. Dirty hands, important call comes in, you use your nose to answer the call = life saver. I'd like to see AW get that option and the main reason I'm going with the Huawei.
Also the call quality is very good. People were always surprised to find out I'm talking to them on the watch. They couldn't tell the difference.
Those are the positives. I've got plenty of negatives if you want to hear them. lol

The display is always off so I'll take the battery life you stated with a grain of salt. If I use the Huawei with the display off all day I'm sure it will be at 70-80% at he end of the day which I might test for fun this week.
Otherwise I still personally wouldn't use my watch it make calls because I don't use speaker phone ever so why use it on a watch? I understand your reason for wanting it but I would rather have it mimic my phone for a notification sound than take a call. I guess we will see what happens in due time.

Agreed, that's what options are for. These devices have to fit in our daily workflow and no two people have the same. To be honest, that's the main reason why I dumped the Apple Watch, it wanted me to follow Apple's workflow and not my own. AW affords me options and speed. Apple Watch slowed me down.
As for the screen off vs battery it would be interesting to compare with the Huawei. My comparisons come from two months of Apple Watch vs my Moto 360 and my current daily driver Sony Smartwatch 3. The Moto had screen off, Sony has ambient on. Apple's Tilt-to-Wake was far superior to any of my Android Wears, so screen off was actually never a UI issue.

I'll try to test it out sometime this week, if I forget send me a messgae. I'm a full-time college student so I tend to forget the little things like testing it out.
I'm obviously an Android person because Apple bothers me but I respect everyone's choice for mobile devices. Its interesting to see your take on it since you have owned both of them.
Now there are some smart watches can be used to make a phone call already. But I don't think it's a real need calling via a watch, considering the smart watch is much smaller than a phone,if it' s designed too big, there is not convenience and comfort anylonger.
While everyone is...uh..."excited"...about the possibilities of the speaker being used for making phone calls, I would be interested in the speaker for other reasons. Remember, that Android Wear has the ability to Mute phone alerts & calls. So what would be nice in the future:
- more discreet, however, audio based alerts
- the ability to start audio alerts if haptic alerts aren't responded to.
- The ability for an audio alarm on the watch (such as when it's on your nightstand at night)
- and...of course...surround sound when I play the Doom port for Android Wear.
OK...I might be kidding about that last one...

Couldn't agree more!
It seems odd that people are vocally against the phone call option. The whole point of the watch is to not have to pull out their "phone" lol.
I actually returned my urbane after three days because the lack of phone support, something I didn't even think of when buying a smart watch but became a glaring omission during real life usage (cooking/toddler/car/etc).
Once the Apple watch released it was simply a matter of when, not if. I'm pretty stoked that we won't have to wait for 3rd gen hardware to get it.
If the manufacture can fix the battery issue or it will be hard to make a call for long time.
I use (mini dialer) for phone calls and (wear messenger) for texting on watch. Both are available on google play and work great.
I'm more excited to have the speaker for automated tasker randomness. I currently have a tasker profile where if I say to my watch, "Ok Google, Show me what you can do." My phone's speaker starts talking, "Okay, this is what i can do, I can tell you the time, show your notifications, reply to messages and hangup on your wife bla bla bla.." I would love to have that reply on my watch directly.
I also have another fun one where if someone is telling me a bogus story/lying I click an icon and "Why you always lyin" plays on my phone.
Think of the fun possibilities!

I bought my watch Monday lunchtime. Charged it to 100% and used the screen always on function as it's on by default until Tuesday morning. When I went to bed Tuesday night around 10.30pm the watch still had like 14% battery left. That's around 36 hours of playing with it and trying out faces and apps. I was quite surprised.

Yeah I usually get 1-2 days of usage which is good enough for me. I am running the latest update that got pushed out without any issues. If seems to fix the Bluetooth bug and some other ones which is a good thing. The Huawei watch is underated especially when you look at the Moto 360 gen 2 which sucks.
