Thanks to GAda for the link.
It is the official flash player for froyo 2.2 available from the market (although the market doesn't let us download it, I persume it was downloaded on a phone running 2.2 that the market did like).
Works a treat on JP2 (tap and hold to enable full screen flash) much better than the ported flash player that was posted some weeks ago

If you can, I may flash JP2 just for this reason ( I flashed JM2 yesterday )

There is no 'stock' Froyo for the Galaxy S, so which rom are you running out of the leaked Froyo ones (JP1, 2 or 3)?

-i have jp3 instaled today and i can't install some games like raging thunder 2 and when i try to open the game like assasin creed,asphalt5 say the need sd card with a least 0mb ,on 2.1 i don't have any problem...
-ps this flsh is awesome like on my pc:live tv,video etc cooooolll, die iPhone(i have 2 years).
Are the JP1/2/3 roms actually stable? I'm not sure whether to flash it or not. Can anyone outline any of the issues with it!
My xp
I have used the JP3 since it came out, and it is mostly stable for me. Wifi and HDSPA/GPRS works fine, Internet application crashes sometimes, usually on first start, then it works fine. Contacts application works, but sometimes the letters on the right to make you quickstep to a certain letter disappears. If you navigate in and out a few times, they usually come back though.
Other than that, it feels pretty snappy.
I cannot get flash player to work unfortunately, but it seems that a lot of people without root have that problem, can anyone actually confirm that?
/J
-the adobe flash player work perfect on my fp3 without root ,but i change the room and now i have jm2 because the 2.2 froyo have lag, bugs, etc
Is there anything you need to enable to make flash work, because it does not work for me. I have tried several apks, playerversion.com says I have 10,1,72,7 installed though, but no flash content seem to work.
/J
only instal flash with appsinstaller and reboot ,in browser option dezactivate mobile view and thats it.
so you cant use this with the stock rom?

Are you supposed to find that in Settings in the browser?

galaxy ace work???
I was wondering who the hell bumped this thread.
Just give it a try. Won't hurt. You can always uninstall it later on.
I spent five minutes literally trying to figure out what was so special about a flash player leak that came from Froyo 2.2, before I noticed the date on the first post!
Seriously, why bump this???
Hello, mates!!
I have a little problem with Dark Knight game in my unrooted Galaxy Note 8 (4.2.2)
About months ago i had version 1.1.3 installed and worked just fine, but i had to delete it because i needed internal storage space.
This week i tried to install it again, but when i start new game and tryin to play intro video, the game freezes (black screen with only skip icon showing but inactive).
Had someone the same problem? Is there a fix?
I have tried almost every version but the same things happens.
So it's probably the android version or some settings fault since i used to play this game...

Run saferoot and root your device. You can get it on the Easy way to root.. thread.
Once you root, download Ti backup and have it uninstall orphan apps. Somewhere in the system there are files that are left over from your game.
Safe root will not flash increment your counter so performing stock update will function normally. The only issue is Samsung Book Hub will not run in rooted devices. You can hide the root using substrate and Rootcloak to allow apps that do detect rooting to function.
If you are not willing to saferoot... then backup your apps and settings with Kies, and do a factory reset of your system. Then restore your apps and settings before installing your game.
If the game still does not run properly after any of the options I gave, then it is possible you are side-loading part of the app. Some apps like Samsung's Link will not side load properly without permissions and data properly transferred.
Since your not rooted at this time, doing any manual work to fix the issue will not be an option..

I'm not sure i understood what side-loading is... but i'm 100% sure that somewhere in the system there are files that are left over. I wish i could find them or perhaps a Kitkat update sometime soon maybe help. Anyway, i'm going to try new games and then come back with this...

Same here. Have spent hours and hours trying to get this to work. I am stuck where it says "Host Manager has Stopped". Also super annoying since whenever you get to that point you basically have to restart your phone.
There's lots of threads on the topic, but some are about the Gear 1 or Gear 2, and then they are all about kit kat. We here have some of the latest and greatest with the M8 Lollipop GPE and the Gear S, terrible that we can't get them to work at all.

Just disable Bluetooth to stop the host manager has stopped loop, you won't have to restart your phone.
Still Looking for a fix as well.
Oh, nice. Solid find. Will keep at it later tonight. It definitely seems to me that we need the newest version of Samsung Gear in order for it to not FC on lollipop.

My Test Scenarios:
HTC One M8 Harmon Kardon on Stock 5.0.1 Rooted Lollipop
How it Works:
1. Download Gear Manager Latest Version and GearManagerStub.apk
2. Download the APK Files
3. Move these files to your phone.
4. 1st install GearManagerstb.apk into SYSTEM/APP folder, then Gear Manager and all remaining apks install like normal.
5. Open Gear Manager on your phone and connect, it should start to download updated apks you can install all APK's Except HOSTMANAGER and GEARPLUGIN make sure you cancel those two APK's or else you will End up with Hostmanager force close and GearPlugin force close.... if you end up with GearPlugin Force close just install the 2.2.15011799 version. It should complete the installation after that.
What versions I'm currently using.
Gear Manager 1.0.02 - Make Sure this is installed in System/App
Samsung Gear 2.2.15011799
Gear Plugin 2.2.15011799
GearModule 2.2.14102499
Goproviders 2.0.337
HostManager 2.2.14100299
Samsung Accessory Service 2.15.96
SASystemProviders 2.3.26

Im trying to root the HTC E9+ (phone wad bought in China) to install the google apps
i unlocked the bootloader
but cant flash or even boot into recovery as no versions of twrp or cwm are available yet
Any idea where i can get it or is there any other way to install su bin ? odin ? thx
I've got the same problem...
I've got the same issue as the OP. Some more background... I got this phone (HTC E9+, aka e9pw) a few days ago in Hong Kong. Had read about the hardware and was very excited to get a new phone. Powered up OK in the shop, made calls, browsed internet etc.
I got back home and suddenly noticed that not all was as it seems. The app store icon didn't link to the Google Play Store, but some HTC Chinese only app store. Chrome wouldn't install. Lots of the google stuff is stripped out.
The problem seems to be the Chinasense UI. It is not a full Android UI, but something very stripped back. There are none of the standard google apps and things like Chrome and Google Play Services refuse to install. These limitations make this smartphone a very dumb phone.
I hope that this is just a short term issue that HTC hasn't integrated the new MediaTec chipset yet and that soon the full Sense UI will be available, until then, any help would be appreciated with rooting this thing and getting a decent phone...
If you still don't know - all google products in China forbidden!!! It never come back. Just find way how to load international version.
Hello,
I live in France and i received the Htc one e9+ this morning. I come from GN4 and i had HTC one M8 before.
Like you i'm trying to install gapps but not everything goes well.
I would like to ask you if you are as desapointed i am ?
-The phone feels really cheap
-The boomsound sounds far from HTC one m 8 quality, do you think the same ?
Xavier
@ Mozart360, from where you got e9+.
Because, this phone is only for Chinese market.
@ Arvic, I took it on ebay.com. I really thought it would be a fantastic phone.
e9+ India version seems to have all the google stuff
Personally I like the look and feel of the hardware. It is just the Chinasense UI which is disappointing. I've noticed in some of the videos for the e9+ release in India that the google apps are there. There is hope yet for this phone...
Then we must find way how to root it. I guess here in xda someone share idea how to do it...

Hi, if you just want to get all the google services, you can download an app from the HTC market named GMS which you can search it, and then you can download all the google services through this GMS app, which the data is about 180+MB. After downloading, it requires a reboot and get into stock recovery to update some package into system to get all the services running. With all this progress, you can use google services as a normal android cellphone.
But about the China SenseUI, without root, nothing can be modified. There are three switches in /system/customize/ACC/default.xml to turn on or off the China SenseUI function. As a result, without root permission, this default.xml file could not be modified, as least I have not worked out a way to modify it. So China SenseUI couldn't not be turned off. I don't know how to operate with stock recovery to modify system partition, or whether the stock recovery get the rights to modify /system partition.
ALL THE ABOVE shares to the one who is using HTC E9+ outside China.

And another thing attached, the app name is GMS安装器 in chinese, but no English name. Its icon is a green android robot with some google icons in the body of the robot. Don't get the wrong app. The app itself is only 0.05MB.
And it's very sad that the HTC Market doesn't have an English language. Try to recognize the chinese characters as I told above.
GSM works!
It works! I downloaded and installed GSM and now I have all the Google Apps. I'm pretty sure this phone now has everything I need. The process is all in Chinese so I'll give you a run down of what I did. Hopefully I can remember it all.
Go to the HTC app store and find GSM. Icon of a little green Android guy with some icons inside him. Download and install. GSM will then start to download all the apps which took me an hour or so. There is a notification with a progress bar so you know it is going ok. After the download there is a message which asks you to make sure the SD card is removed. Accept all the pop ups. Restart and hold down the volume button which goes to recovery mode. It will crunch away with some installation. When it finally boots up, all the Google stuff is there.
Thank you CPStar.

hey guys... i hav an e9+ but taiwan stock ... so evrythn is english and no xtra chinese apps ... if ne1 wants i will try to make a system dump for u guys.. but i guess GMS solves the issue for evry1.
So what are the opinions of the few that own the E9+? Pros/Cons? Battery life? Gaming performance?
I am considering this phone because IMO 5.5 inch screen is the sweet spot.

Yes, it works! Thanks @cpstar !
Only steps are different....
After downloading file via GSM, phone must switch off, then switch on by holding power botton and volume down, then must choose "reboot to bootloader mode", then reboot in recobery mode.....
But when you press "reboot in recovery mode" - actualy nothing happens.
I just swithced off phone by long hold power botton. Then switchen on and in booting time started install 27 app.
After, I tried via HTC help to check phone updates. And downloaded update, but following window it ask to "install now", after "OK" phone just two times restart and nothing happen!
After restar - again popup msg about update.
How to solve this problem?

So how do we root HTC E9+ ???
Hi guys,
I've been following this thread and am planning to buy an HTC One E9+. Can Frama-root / RootGenius / Kingo Root do the job? I plan to buy it once there's a verified way on rooting the E9+ phone AND add Google apps. I understand Google apps can be added using the GMS安装器 application. So the only question now is: How do we root this phone? Tried Google and Baidu, seems nothing clear yet on how to do it. Thoughts? Please share Android experts! Thank you!

Hello
Im also buy HTC one M9+ , use GMS安装器 intsall all google apk but cant change blinkfeed chinese version international and sanse cant change chinese version .
HTC one M9+ have any international version offical room or not ?
I can witness that the above rooting process is working perfect for my E9+ (HK) version.
So should i get it?
So guys im thinking about getting this phone and now i know it has root and if i am correct it can function as a normal android smartphone but i do have 2 questions I'd love to be answered. 1 can you install google play and download apps from it? And 2) what roms work on it (if any)?
I bought this phone in Dubai and it has Play Store and Chinese senseUI stuff. My question is, after doing the above rooting process, will it be possible to update or no ?. There is an update available, I haven't rooted and haven't updated yet
I have the dual sim version. Does this method work with it ?
Received the FP with 3.5.0 att locked with unlock code from ebay deal today and now trying mess with it and got few questions that I just need to ask before I go any further in the path of no return.
First I`ve been somewhat following each steps here at this Guide to make fire os look normal. Everything is going smoothly and got all the way up to firing up google play but unable to download any apps from it. I`m guessing becuase I have missed installing the vending.apk before opening play store? Now I`m unable to install the vending.apk at all. Is it crucial to follow each install order of google services? Or am I missing something that`s preventing vending.apk install?
I`ve already factory restore the phone to try again but before redoing everything should I even try to upgrade to the most recent 4.6.1 and root at 4.6? Just asking because I`ve read somewhere along the way that upgrading to 4.6 solves some problems with play store. Or is it still best to stay at 3.5 for rooting purposes. I would like to eventually put CM11 in it.
Should I try to unlock the phone first with the included code from ATT before going all the way with rooting and to CM11? Will I be able to enter code with CM11? I just don`t have a nano SIM at the moment and just can`t wait to tinker with the phone. Or should I just stop at root/Google Now Launcher and unlock before trying CM11?
Is safe safestrap like just CWM recovery? Can I Make a backup of the rooted stock Fire OS 3.5 and install CM11 now and revert to stock if I need to?
I'm waiting for mine to come. Ordered from same deal I'm guessing. You can cut your current sim card down to nano if you really want to be adventurous.
How did the prime membership go? Any issues with getting the free year?
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
Yeah I`ll be cutting in-laws sim so I`ll wait until I sort the phone out. Prime automatically adds a year after putting your amazon email account when registering the phone, went through without a hitch.
Ok so factory restore didn`t really restore everything. Google now app launcher still on when it booted up. So this will be a fun night. Any suggestions on what should I try next?
Is Safestraponly for 4.6?
I wish I knew. I haven't gotten mine yet so I've just been trying to read and prepare.
Have you unlocked the phone?

Not yet need nano sim card to unlock and that`s why I`m being wary on going through all the way tonight. They sent unlock code printed on a sticker with a disclaimer that basically saying once you claim the prime membership you are not able to return it. Found this unlock method for FP, does anyone knows other way of unlocking it without sim card?
I think you need a non att sim card so that it asks for the unlock code. That's going to be my issue. Don't know anyone with a non-att nano sim card

New to FP...one of the 2500 eBay purchasers
I'm in the same boat. Ordered my FP from eBay with the one year extension of Prime...so it was about $50 for the phone after tax and discounting the Prime membership. So my questions are...
1 - What is the best way to go to get Google apps working as I pretty much use much of the Google ecosystem. Should I sideload the Google stuff, or just root and go to CM11. I want to make sure I have all the LTE bands working and I'm not sure if CM11 changes the modem.
2 - If I stay with Amazon Android do I stay on Version 3 or upgrade to Version 4. Which works best with Google sideloads?
Any clear advice to a new user of FP. In the past I've had HTC and Samsung and always unlocked the bootloader and rooted. There is a lot in the forums I have to read but maybe somebody could encapsulate some advice to those peoples who seemed to have bought the eBay deal. Much thank for guidance from experienced users.
From my understanding, there is root for 4.6.1, and Google stuff seem to work better on 4.6.1. So I'm definitely planning on upgrading when I get the phone.

Ok found an old TMobile micro sim and just followed this guy and cut into nano and when I turned on the botched half rooted FP it just asked for the unlocked code and the code provided worked.
So this time I downloaded the Google services zipped file in this thread and jumped to his step 2 and when it came to step 2.iii I followed this guy`s instructions. I had to download es file explorer on amzon app store first so I can get to google services files that I had transferred from the comp. And turned off wifi so the auto update download will not finish downloading.
Basically I got google now launcher working fine was able to install the obligatory Facebook app until I updated the Market with Google play store. After that the dreaded "Google Play ervices has stopped" started popping.
I`m going to try to find a fix but if there`s none, it looks like updating to 4.6 would be the best route. Unless someone can give their 2 cents on this matter.
Ok so updated to 4.6 and rooted with kingroot. Play store worked great for few minutes andand found out about this white screen problem.
I`ll try to see how "stable" the cm11 which I doubt ready for daily use if not I`ll just have the inlaws use fire os. The update made it look closer to their old phone and actually not too bad. As long as they have facebook and candy crush they`re happy. Also mayday would actually benefit me in the long run
Update:
Used the apk files in this guide which looked newer versions and it seemed to do the trick this time while rooted with latest kingroot at 4.6. Even after I installed google now launch and google quick search which forced me to update the google services to use which also ended up updating the play store. So far no issues with play store.
Update:
Play store white death screen is back.......!!!!
I think I finally figured the fix for white death screen!!? The problem is ****ing google is auto updating the playstore automatically to a 5.xx version which breaks Playstore. Found the solution in this link. When GP auto update just disable/unistall updates and reinstall the older 4.6 GP or the last 4.8 GP apk version before 5.xx. Then I tried all possible options to block play store from auto updating. I used the Disable Services app method and the terminal emulator that someone suggested in the previous link. So far no white death screen.
Update:
Google managed to get around my solution and updated play store again, mfckers!
Any suggestions on how to block NSA auto updating play store?
I believe you need to use these on 4.6.1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/fire-phone/general/google-play-store-4-6-1-version-4-apks-t3098592 I never had an issue with it

Its a very stable rom. I've been using it one week today. It got an update 3 days ago. You will get the "play services stopped working message" but that's happening with stock. Play store has opened every time I try it. Unless you like fire os better I'd try the ROM. I was skeptical too. In fact, I wasn't anticipating using this phone as my daily driver but that's exactly what happened. Just make a backup of stock to be safe.
Finally I got everything figured out. I just flashed the flashable stock 4.6 image from this thread through safestap. And every google services seemed to be working properly now (Maps, Hangouts,Navigation etc.). I just installed nova launcher and the phone feels like regular android phone right now.
I'll stick with the fire os for now as I need the phone to be really stable before handing the phone to the in laws.
