If I want to know if it is cloudy, I could just look out the window.
I don't need to know the average temperature in my city. There is no purpose knowing this. I'm not gonna be like:
Me: Oh My God It's 98 Degrees, Did you know that the normal human body temperature is 98.6 Degrees.
Nearest Person: AHH My head just exploded with knowledge!!
...I don't need to remind myself everytime I look at my phone who are my favorite people.
I should already know.
It's not like I have horrible memory.

hey whats up. So.. I have only seen one smokers theme and it doesnt work for my phone. perhaps someone would be willing to make one.
preferably one for the g1 dream cyanogen mod 4.1.10.1

Yeah cause im sure thats where Brad Pitt, Sean Penn, Joe Rogan and anyone else who has ever smoked is still doing it.
Not to go to far into it, but if weed was legalized and taxed, not only would it make revenue for the government, but it would SAVE BILLIONS in non-violent drug(weed) related imprisonment!!!

This only shows how different peoples view on the subject is.
A weed smoker is a junkie to me.

I want to use this pic as my wallpaper but I can't stand the "(c) Larry west productions......" on it. Can somebody with some PS skills please shop it out of the pic for me? I basically want it to look like that was never there, so the background matches, if possible. I will be forever indebted to whoever can do this for me.

So basically you are asking some one to illegally remove the copyright of an image that is not yours. Not sure if that is allowed.

Why is it illegal? I want to use it for my own personal wallpaper. It's not like I want to use it for some commercial purpose. I just don't want a huge copyright in the middle of my home screen.

The same reason it is illegal to download movies, mp3's, software etc. Images are no different if they are copyrighted.
Personal use or commercial.

So then technically it is illegal to use any copyrighted image as my wallpaper? I sure hope the feds don't get ahold of my EVO because it is filled with images that I took off the web.

Technically, that's actually ok. It becomes an issue when you begin removing watermarks, signatures, or copyright info from released works - he could have used the image as is, but when he asked to remove the artists copyright info, thats when the Armchair NetLawers start to bristle.
Granted, its pretty minor in this case, but some people take it pretty seriously.

there are a few thing though
1.) i am lead developer
2.) all updates are put on xda by me
3.) i will approve of anything in the ROM before i release it
