[Q] G2 With Desire Z Features? :D!? - G2 and Desire Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey ya'll! I just came from the Grandfather (AKA G1), Rooted it and Flashed it with custom roms before, but I am still new to all of this... I am also new to these forums and I have the New T-Mo G2, its Un-Rooted (for now) and I'd love to customize it!
So Basically I really want the Perks of Sense UI On the Desire Z on my G2...
I Would LOVE Sense UI on My G2, but that is too hard for me to do. And Not to mention Risky.
So What I want is The Desire Z Camera Software on my G2.. It has a lot more features and the stock Camera Software SUCKS. I want the Touch-To-Zoom, Filters, and all the bells and whistles.. I head someone named Paul has done this on the N1 and I'm wondering if its possible to Extract these handy Features from the Desire Z and paste it onto the G2
Fastboot is another feature I'd really love.. I'm pretty sure people are working on this, but I haven't seen any Topics on it.. Anything else that you guys would like from the D-Z to be on the G2? And Is anything possible so far? Thanks!
Update*****Wow, So I manned up and Rooted my phone! It is now running the Desire Z ROM and has all its features. It also can Dual boot Stock Android UI With all my settings saved and HTC Sense! This is awesome!! I could not be happier with it and I love every app, the camera software and last but not least HTC Sense! This is amazing! thanks for your guy's help and thanks to ibemad1, and g_grey! I'M LOVING THIS!******

hey
Look in the G2 develoment page theres a lot of sense custom roms that you can flash to your g2 just make sure you create a back-up before you flash it so once your bored with sense you can go back to stock rom
look for the [ROM] links

Yep the one from paulobrien is awesome. I tried it out and it run great. Sense just isn't my thing...

I think he's asking for JUST the sense camera app and not sense entirely. That is one thing I would like as well but this is in the wrong section...

Best bet is to install a Desire Z rom which you can get here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=837042

I don't know. Installing a Custom ROM is risky for me.. I don't know how to change to Kernel, build, baseband versions and I'd need an IDIOT proof guide how... Or If theres any youtube videos of it that'd be cool.. But I'd rather Keep Stock UI and Have the Camera software from those Phones (HTC Desire Z and HD) Also does anyone know of the "HTC Sense" Background with the multi-color floating bubbles that works for the G2 Thanks!
*Fastboot would be nice?! Is there anyway that that can be done with keeping the Stock UI? Or would that be Impossible?*

There's practically no risk involved in flashing.
PERMA ROOT REQUIRED
- put the sense rom in the root of your sdcard.
Then
- download rom manager from the android market
- tap "install clockworkmod"
- tap "backup current ROM"
Wait for it to reboot into recovery, backup, then reboot again.
- open up rom manager again
- tap "reboot into recovery"
Then
- use trackpad to select wipe user data (don't worry, you just backed everything up
- select install rom from sdcard
- reboot
- you're done

even better:
perma-root
download ROM to sdcard(anywhere you want)
install ROM manager
open and flash clockwork
reboot into recovery to ensure it flashed
then reboot back to OS and open ROM manager again
select install ROM from sdcard
choose the rom you want to flash
box will pop-up asking if you want to backup and wipe, select both boxes
phone will reboot and do the rest automatically
once the phone is done you can reboot back into OS(if it doesn't do that on it's own and you have a new ROM

did all this and loaded the rom, but when it loads into the os it keeps loading the htc sense boot screen over and over

[Q] I know you guys get sick of helping noob but I just rooted and need help!

I have been wanting to root and try a custom rom but I was scared of brick. Anyway I finally rooted with Unrevoked 3.3 which installed Clockwork recovery also and after that I installed rom manager. When I went to do a backup of current rom it said I need to install Clockwork recovery first but its there already. I know there is guides everywhere but thats the problem not sure which to use to learn what to do before I try flashing new rom. What about kernel I really don't understand where to go from here. I am rooted and Clockwork recovery flashed but don't know where to go from here. I am not a idiot just a little guidance please! I really want learn process of installing new and restoring old roms with my Evo. How do I know what other updates need to done before using a certain rom like kernel and radio? Thanks Alot To Anyone That Can Help A Fellow Android Lover!
You try reflashing clockwork recovery?

No I just cheked to see if I could boot to recovery with vol/power buttons and seems fine Clockwork Recovery is there. So I should just let Rom Manager try to install Clockwork Recovery again? What would be my steps to installing new rom after I get rom manager to backup current rom? Thanks Alot!
Well first backup your rom and wimax keys and then go to the xda android development section and download a rom, clear cache /dalvik/ and I think its system restore something like that..I don't use cwr

First of all, if you're certain that your recovery is installed, then you need to decide what rom and what type of rom you want to install? For instance, do you want a Sense based rom (the HTC overlay that your EVO came with) or an AOSP rom (Pure Android like on the Nexus)? For a sense based rom, I suggest Myn's Warm TwoPointTwo RLS-5. You can see photos of it as well as download it from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=793471 and for an AOSP rom, I suggest Salvage-Mod 1.2.1. It can be downloaded from here: http://www.salvage-mod.com/node/4. Make sure you download the Google Applications from the same page. Whichever you decide to flash or any others, put them on your SD card. Now shutdown your device. Simultaneously press the DOWN volume button and the power button until your device starts. There will be a short pause and then a few lines of text will scroll across the screen. Afterwards, you will see a set of options. One of the options will be "recovery". By the way, look at the top of the screen and make sure it displays "S-OFF". If it displays "S-ON", you are not rooted. Anyway, select recovery. Your phone will vibrate and display a white EVO screen and then boot into recovery. Your recovery should be ClockworkMod. Go into the backup menu and select nandroid backup to make a backup of your current setup. You can always restore your device to the way it was if you don't like your new roms, mods, themes and kernels. After you've made your backup, go to the wipe menu and wipe everything except the SD card. After that, go to the flash zip menu and flash the rom you want to try. After it's finished, it should prompt you to reboot. Do so and be patient. You will appear to hang at a couple of places. Be patient. Let it finish. Be patient. Do not pull the battery. Be patient. After some time, you will see your rom's splash screen and then your new homescreen. If it is a sense based rom, go to menu-settings-system updates and select update profile after you've signed in with your Google credentials. Enjoy your new rom.

Root of card is preferred but anywhere is fine since you will have to point rom manager to it. Alot of roms come with kernels so I wouldn't sweat it. No need to rename. A good starting rom are any kingsroms insane fast and all features usually work most are still froyo but look much different than ur stock rom

I, too, use amon RA and love it. As for not giving good instructions, don't worry about it. There have been numerous times when I've given summarized instructions because I either assumed the OP knew what I was talking about or I was rushing because I had something else to do. The important thing to remember is that you helped. Period!...

Just d/l the latest version, put it on your sd card, reboot to recovery and flash it, then when you reboot to system, you'll get the prompt to go to the market and d/l each app.

You can either flash it immediately after flashing Salvage-Mod or boot into Salvage-Mod first and then press and hold the power button until the menu appear
Select reboot and then select recovery. Once you're back into recovery, wipe cache & dalvik cache and then flash the Google applications (gapps). Afterwards, reboot.

Well I first off wana say, you were in good hands with dougjamal.
To flash gapps:
1. Download the latest gapps / the ones provided in the salvage mod thread
2. Boot into recovery.
3. After you have flashed the salvage mod rom, wipe your cache and dalvik cache, then flash the gapps zip.

Rooted Now Need Expert Advice

Hello,Guys I'm new in this community And Today i have rooted my wildfire And to ensure whether my fone is fully rooted or not.
I installed App Called "ROM MANAGER" And it worked...
So,Now it means my fone is fully rooted right..??(Correct me if i'm wrong )
So,Now all i want to know the easiest and safest Way To Install CM7(stable) if possible then please provide the link thnxx in advance
Help me
Yes its rooted, but, to install Custom ROMs, you will need to install a Custom Recovery (ie Clockworkmod).
There are 2 ways to go about it:
1) Fastboot - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=14693680
2) PC49IMG - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1130044
I have only used the Fastboot method so far, so if you need further assistance, just ask.
BTW, Both the above methods need S-OFF using AlphaRev X. If you are not having S-OFF, then simply use Unrevoked to install the Clockworkmod Recovery.
Once Clockworkmod Recovery install is complete, follow this post to install Custom ROMs like Cyanogenmod 7:

Heyy thanx for replying "3xeno"
Just few minutes ago i installed titanium backup when this app starts
it's showing Root access : FAILED
And a msg popped up : "Sorry,i could not acquire root privileges - This Application will "not" work ! Please verify that your ROM is rooted and includes BusyBox,and try again
Please Help me what the hell is happening ??
Got Superuser App in your App Drawer? Also, what exactly did you do to root your device? Did you use AlphaRev X or use Unrevoked?
Yup I got superuser automatically in app drawer and i used alpharev X
Weird, Then try installing Busybox from within Titanium Backup. (Press Menu Key, then Press "Problems", It''ll download Busybox).
Also, can you explain what all procedures you followed after getting S-OFF using AlphaRev X?
and bro one thing more
One minute ago i installed SHootme app and this app also asked me for superuser priveleges I allowed it and it worked...shootme app is working i don't know y titanium app is sayin like that ??
And yaa The method u posted in ur 1st post i hve already done that...i hve installed it via PC49IMG
Okay, well since you've got recovery you are now able to install custom ROM's.
Download the one you want (Cyanogenmod gives good performance),
put on your sdcard,
boot recovery (turn off, hold volume down and press power, use volume down to navigate to recovery, press power).
Backup stock ROM from backup & restore.
Wipe dalvic cache in advanced menu, wipe boot, data, system, cache in mounts and storage.
Then install zip from sdcard. Voila.

Titanium backup not giving you root previlages whereas other app gave. There is a possibility that you accidentally denied the "root permission" of titanium backup when you opened it for 1st time. As it will be in a remembered state it might be the issue. Open "superuser" from app drawer and check the root permission status of titanium backup. Another suggestion is to update the Su binary from superuser app. Then download busybox installer from market and install busybox from that. Then open titanium backup.
There is absolutely no risk in installing cm7. But do make nandroid backup of your current rom so that you can revert back anytime if you don't like it.

You are not getting me. CM7 is an AOSP ROM. AOSP stands for the Android Open Source Project, and is intended to be the base where Google releases their Android Source Code (Android is an open source OS after all).
CM7 is based on that. Obviously, Sense is an HTC Product, and hence is not a part of AOSP. If you want Sense, you will have to get a Sense ROM. Sense will NOT work on ANY AOSP ROM. I hope this is clear to you.
Again, refer the ROM list I gave you the link to in the previous post, I have segregated it based on whether a ROM is based on Sense or based on AOSP.
If you want Sense, you cannot use CM7.
For your 2nd query, yes, installing process is as you have described. However, make sure you perform a "Wipe Data / Factory Reset" in Clockworkmod before installing a new ROM to prevent issues.

If you are on CM7, you will need to flash an additional GApps Package (Google Apps), which will give you Android Market. You can download it here:
http://goo-inside.me/gapps/
Look for
gapps-gb-20110613.zip or
gapps-gb-20110307.zip
Flashing procedure remains the same. Place file on your SDCard, Reboot into Clockworkmod Recovery, Select Install Zip from SDCard and choose the above zip.

Have you already rooted it?
If so, you need to have a custom recovery. I'd recommend that (if your phone is rooted) you download 4Ext recovery updater from the market. With this app you can choose any of these options by following the menus and dialogs and it will reboot into the custom recovery and perform them.
Most importantly, you will need to flash the new recovery from the app. Select "online install" from the top of the list and choose the most logical options.
After you have flashed the recovery, you will be able to access the other functions you are asking about from the Recovery section (third option down). You will find what you need there.
Of course you will need to download a custom rom first before you can install it.
For instant gratification I recommend starting here:
www.virtuousrom.com/p/roms.html
Obviously choose one of the roms located beside the Desire Z/G2.
After you have the custom rom zip on your sd card, the 4ext recovery updater app will do all your needed steps at once like this:
Open app>recovery>install zip from sd card>[choose your downloaded zip]>install now>check "backup current rom..." and "superwipe ext4"
You are off to the races!
If anything confuses you, don't hesitate to ask. If 4Ext looks overwhelming, ROM Manager (also available in the market/play store) is a bit more straightforward, but the same idea. Also, ROM Manager has a bunch of roms available for download within the app.
Whichever app you like, you should buy the paid version from the market. Koush and Madmaxx have both put out some great apps for rooted users.
Heck, buy both. I did. XD

Whether you want to test out a new ROM for daily use or just keep an eye on one that's being developed, you can run multiple ROMs on your rooted Android phone with BootManager, and pick which one to use when you start it up.
Having multiple ROMs to choose from is great, but flashing and re-flashing new ROMs just to try them out is annoying. If you want to try one out but don't want to fully flash it over your current ROM, BootManager will let you flash it (and up to three others) to your SD card, so you can try multiple ROMs at once. The ROMs you run from your SD card won't be quite as fast, and not every ROM out there will work, but it should give you a chance to try out most other ROMs without fully flashing them.
Right now the app is officially supported on the original Motorola Droid, Droid Incredible, HTC Thunderbolt, HTC Vision, HTC EVO 4G, HTC Inspire 4G, HTC Desire, and the HTC Desire HD. It may work on other phones, though, they just aren't officially supported yet.
Note: This tutorial contains some pretty advanced stuff, and i don't recommend it if you're unfamiliar with rooting and flashing ROMs. If you're just starting out, check out how to root your Android phone and how to flash Android ROMs before moving onto something like this.
Step One: Flash a Second ROM
Before you do anything, make a nandroid backup of your current ROM with ROM Manager or through your recovery module. If anything goes wrong, you can always restore from this backup to get things back to the way they were.
To set up BootManager, just download and install it from the Market, and start it up. You'll also want to grab a ROM of your choice and save the zip file on your SD card.
When you first start up BootManager, it'll prompt you to back up your boot.img, which you should do before installing any ROMs. Once you've done that, head to "Install ROMs". Pick the zip file from your SD card containing the ROM you want to flash, and check all three boxes: Wipe System, Wipe Data, and Wipe Cache. Let it do its thing (which will take awhile). When you're done, it will give you the option of booting into your new ROM. Hit Done; we aren't ready to boot into it just yet.
Step Two: Install Google Apps and Other ROM Add-Ons
Most ROMs don't come with Google's copyrighted apps, like Gmail, the Market, and others. This is a problem, since when you boot into your new ROM you need BootManager to function if you ever want to boot out of it, and it won't work unless you're signed into the Android Market. Luckily, there's an easy fix (note: if you know your ROM comes with Google Apps installed, you can skip this step).
Download the Google Apps zip file for the ROM you just installed and go back to BootManager. Hit Install ROMs. This time, pick Google Apps' zip file, and use the same slot that you used in step one. Leave all three "wipe" boxes unchecked this time. When it's done, booting into that slot will take you to the original ROM, but with the Google apps installed.
If you want to install a theme or other zip-based mod in the future, you can do that using this method too. Just remember: if you're flashing a new ROM, check all three "wipe" boxes, but if you're just installing an add-on to a ROM, don't check any of them.
Step Three: Switch Between ROMs
To boot into one of your other ROMs, just head into BootManager and choose "Boot Installed ROM". It'll show you a list of ROMs you have installed on your device, and after choosing one of them it will reboot into that ROM. BootManager will come installed on each of your other ROMs as well, and as long as you're signed into the Android Market on that ROM, you can boot into it from there as well and switch back to your main ROM.
That's it! You can flash up to five ROMs at a time, so you'll never be bored by one measly operating system. Hit the link to download BootManager.
BootManager is a $2.99 download for Android 2.1 and up. See the Market page below for officially supported devices.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.drx2.bootmanager&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5kcngyLmJvb3RtYW5hZ2VyIl0. (Theres a lite and pro version )
Found this app in the sensation forums and found it was officially supported on DZ

That's neat, any chance of conflicts when it comes to data on swap/sd-ext/sdcard ?
Isn't this post supposed to be located in "G2 and Desire Z Themes and Apps"?
You are actually just recommending an app and providing information that is already available on http://www.init2winitapps.com/

Does anyone have any ICS roms working with this?
i highly doubt most ROMs would work with this, especially ICS roms... it's just too good to be true, and the app needs a lot of refinement.
Yeah I downloaded the light version and the only ROM I could get working was the JoyOS port. I tried Andromadus Mimicry, MIUIv4, G2Slim, and some others I don't remember and they didn't work.

I've used this app off-and-on for months. Couple things to note. It won't work on G2/DZ unless you set the large boot setting. Also, some ROMs just don't seem to like it. Most ROMs can be made to work by installing normally, doing a nandroid then installing the nandroid to the boot manager pseudo-partition. Even that way, I've had some ROMs that wouldn't boot.
I definitely used it for ICS (Andromadus and CM9/unnoffical, I think) before I committed to DD with ICS.

I have tried the large boot setting for all those ROMs but not the nandroid yet, maybe I'll try that later.

★[Guide]Beginners/noob,Android modding:Where to start★

!!!!☆■PLEASE PRESS THANKS INSTEAD OF SAYING IT IM SO SICK OF PEOPLE SAYING THANKS WHEN IN THE RULES IT SAYS TO USE THE THANKS BUTTON□★!!!!!!!
This is a beginners guide to start modifying your Android device. When I joined the website I felt like I didn't know where to start. So I thought I could make this thread to get people started.
*I will not be held responsible for any damage that may be caused to your device.
First things first your going to need to root your device. What rooting does is it allows special access to things in your phone. Without root custom roms and custom recoveries will not work. Also some apps require root to work. So to root your device search for the name of your device in the search box. Once you find your device then go to the Android development section. And usually near the top there will be a guide on how to root your device.
If your can't find or your device doesn't have a forum section (for example the Us Cellular Galaxy s4) then search for a similar device. So I have the Us cellular galaxy s4 and it doesn't have a forum section. So I could look at the Verizon or At&T galaxy s4 section and see if the root method with work on my us cellular galaxy s4. Thankfully there is a method that works for the us cellular version too. If you still can't find a root method for your device then I would Google it and see what you can find.
Once you have gotten root access then the next step is to install a custom recovery.
IF U WANT TO CHECK IF YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY GOTTEN ROOT ACCESS THEN DOWNLOAD THE ROOT CHECKER APP.
Ok so what a custom recovery is basically a tool to install/ flash things to your device. For example If I want a transparent status bar then I can download an s4 transparent status bar. Then I can go into recovery mode. After that since I have a custom recovery I can install the new status bar in recovery mode. Then reboot my phone. And boom I have a transparent status bar. Be sure to check out the link. It will further Explain custom recoveries.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/ClockworkMod_Recovery
Ok so to get a custom recovery you can follow the link above or your can do the same thing u did for root. Search your device. Then go to the Android development section and look for a thread on how to install a custom recovery. There are different types/versions of recoveries. Clock work mod recovery is one of the more popular ones and is what I personally use and I recommend. TWRP (team win recovery project is another one and is good too.)
After you get a custom recovery installed you need to make a backup. In case something goes wrong by user error or accident you can fix your device.
A back up is needed because if I would try to install a rom and for some reason it doesnt boot up then your going to need to return to what you were previously on. For example I have my galaxy s4 and If i make a backup right before I install a new rom. Then I try installing a rom and for whatever reason it doesn't work. I can go back into recovery mode and I can install my back up. And the backup will be everything that I had on my device before I tried to install a new rom. Once you have a backup then go to the next step.
Now the best part custom roms. Ok a custom rom is kinda hard to explain but im gonna try to. So a rom is basically firmware. And u can have different types of roms (firmware) for your device. **THE NUMBER ONE RULE IS TO NEVER INSTALL A ROM THAT IS NOT MEANT FOR YOUR PHONE. THIS IS 99 PERCENT OF WHY PEOPLE HARD BRICK THEIR DEVICE. **
So generally there are too different versions of roms. Stock based roms and aosp/ cyanogen based roms. Stock roms have generally the same look but may offer more options and settings for things. Some stock based roms have options to Change the look too.
Aosp(cyanogen mod,pac man, carbon) roms are going to change the look a lot. And have more options to Change Things too. Check out cyanogenmod.com to see what I mean.
Roms are a lot of fun to expirment with and see which ones you like best.
So your ready to get a custom rom.
Make sure you have a back up before you continue.
1. Dowload a rom to your device.
A good rom to try is cyanogen mod. It's an aosp based rom. Follow this link and see if your device is compatible.
get.cm/
REMEMBER U MUST DOWNLOAD A ROM THAT IS MEANT FOR YOUR DEVICE ONLY!!!!!
2. If you are going to install cyanogen mod or any aosp you are also going to need g apps. What g apps is is a package of apps. Basically of all the stock apps. Stock roms have it built in.
You can get get g apps from here
http://goo.im/gapps
If you want to check out other roms then go to your device in the forums then go to the Android development section. And look around there should be plenty to choose from.
3. So if you are installing cyanogen mod make sure you have gapps if you are installing a stock based rom you don't need it.
4.Boot into recovery mode. You can download rom manager from the play store and go into the app and press boot into recovery mode or do it manually by using the hard keys. Google it if you can't get into recovery mode.
5.Once in recovery mode if u are installing cyanogen mod do a wipe data/factory reset.
If you are installing a stock based rom skip that step unless you want to wipe data. Or if where you found the rom it says to wipe data.
6.flash the rom you installed. Remember where you put it when you downloaded it.
7. If you needed it find gapps then flash(install) that.
If you didn't need gapps then skip that step.
8. Wipe the cache partion
9. Wipe the davilk cache. *Its under advanced* This is important so you don't get a boot loop.
10. Reboot system
11. Enjoy your new rom.
Common errors:
If you get stuck at the boot logo you probably forgot to wipe the davilk cache. Its under advanced options in recovery.
If you try to install cyanogen mod and get an error saying system has stopped and that error keeps showing up then you used the wrong gapps package. Dowload the one closest to the top of the page if u are trying to download cyano
If u have any questions at all about anything feel free to ask them on this thread. Or in the q and a section. Or pm me.

Do I need to do some backup before Rooting too?
Hi,
First of all, I really appreciate your work for helping Noobs like me, for teaching all these things...
I was going to do perform experiments on my Android phone, and I would like to be sure regarding the steps. Of course, nobody wants to go wrong while doing this.
So, Do I need to do any sort of Backup before Rooting process, too?
Or it is just simple like:
Root your Phone
Install some Custom Recovery
Flash some cool Custom ROMs (optional)
Also, Is there anything, that I should be aware of, regarding Bootloaders? People discuss so much about Locked/Unlocked bootloaders.
I checked the Hidden Menu of my phone and it says that my Bootloader is Locked.
It would be appreciating, if you can add something regarding this Bootloader thing in your Post too.
Thanks a lot for this Guide :good:
Great to see xda cares about the noobs. Ive down my share of flashing roms and mods but always good to learn more.

Clean and to the point. Looking to get into more of the coding and building your own ROM where might be a solid software to buy etc. Thanks

Hello… I will be bookmarking the thread for educating my NOOB brain. I have had an ongoing challenge with not having a keyboard after flashing different ROM's and cannot enter anything. What am I doing incorrectly?

The G Apps you downloaded didn't work.... flash your backup to fix this, of course you will be back to normal and still have root. Find another ROM or find a better G Apps. The keyboard not working happened to my nexus 4 after flashing cyanogen... oh well. NEXT!!!!
A helpful tool would be the clockwork mod ROM manager that you can download from either the Play store or the Amazon app market. You can download the gapps zip directly from the app as well as boot into recovery from the app so you can install the zip. I would also recommend buying the pro (it's 99 cents and you are supporting a great team of devs) app so you can update your CM ROM and switch ROMs if you like doing that.

Clockwork Mod also has a touch recovery that is really nice to have to navigate though. You can buy it on the app or you can download it off their site for free. I use it on all of my devices and swear by it. There aren't very many that aren't supported from the major manufacturers so it's a great tool to have in your arsenal. That and it makes installing zips easier for those newer to the wonderful world of Android.

Yes, I rooted my phone and did all the things I Google searched. The the phone (Sprint Galaxy S6 SM-G920P) worked fine. I did the Renegade ROM and I got stuck on the Load screen for Renegade. When it didn't work I accidentally wiped my entire phone and tried saving it with Cm-13.0-201xxxxxx, but it sucks. It will not let me do anything. I am searching for a ROM I can flash with TWRP that will allow me to get my phone up and working properly. Can any of you help
How to do the samething when the touchscreen is not working properly
I got the stock rom for my device and the touchscreen does not work properly after flashing it to my device, surely I did something wrong or the rom from the manufacturer is not working.
I have seen newer and differnt versions I can use for the THL 5000 mkt or MK 6592 chipset, just all the ROMs want a person to have some android interface where the android touchscreen is working fine. So my thought is how do I go about either finding another custom rom which will work with this device when most if not all use android touchscreens for the smart phones and I can't find roms with scatter files and bin files for this model.
Touchscreen works in a weird way where pressing the lower screen selects things above it.
