Hi y'all how can we reset the battery settings on g2 w/o amon recovery? My battery is draining fast since I flashed cm's unofficial build or evil's sense rom.
Thanks in advanced!
O and I hope I'm on the right section lol.

deleting baterystats.bin is removing the battery log. helps improve the accuracy of the battery.
After running this command should I reboot my phone?
If you have clockwork recovery I believe there is also an option to reset battery.

I just flashed the 3.29 software update yesterday and everything was great, but I discovered today that I have a new problem with the built-in browser - whenever a page is loading and I touch anything (like x or the back button) the browser instantly force closes.
What can I do about this? Could a different kernel (I'm on stock now) make a difference?
Any ideas are appreciated.

Go into manage applications force stop the browser and clear all data/cache then reboot and see if that helps.

I did what you said, but it hasn't fixed the problem, only made the force close delayed by a few seconds. What else can I try?

You can try booting into recovery and wipe cache and dalvik-cache then reboot. And if that still doesn't help I guess you could re-flash the rom or try an entirely different one.

Thanks for your help, man. I tried flashing a custom kernel and in the process I wiped cache and dalvik, but the problem has persisted. You think just reflashing the ROM could solve the problem?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Yeah that would be my next step...I'd wipe the important 3 then re-flash. Trying a different ROM wouldn't hurt either.

Thanks for your help. I think I'll reflash the current ROM. I like stock Sense UI.

Is there a limit on how many times we can do the battery calibration?
My friend has an HTC Evo 4G and I flashed nitrous rom for him to make his phone better but I have ran across a bit of a problem. Gmail isn't on his phone and he cannot download it for some reason either. What is wrong? Thank you.

You can download the app from the playstore... https://play.google.com/store/apps/...oid.gm&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDNd ,if hes having problems downloading, getting an error,go to system/applications,find the playstore and clear cache and data,go to recovery and clear dalvik and fix permissions, then go back to the playstore and sign back in and you will be able to download.
I blue toothed him my apk and it's working. Thanks

Rooted my lg and gps nav app will not find location and start navigation. Google Maps does locate me just fine. Anyone have an apk so i can try reinstalling or know of a way to get it working? I have a good 3g connection so i know it's not that.
Did you just root it? Did you install a ROM? Need more info to solve the issue...

Sorry bout that, just rooted it, haven't put a new rom on. it yet
Rooting shouldn't affect any apps. You can try clearing app data's in Maps and Nav. Maybe even turn on WiFi to help it find location faster.

Hold the power button down until it powers down to simulate a battery pull.

If you just upgraded then factory wipe might be needed.

In this case, I would highly recommend using Better Battery Stats to help find the culprit.

As the gentleman pointed out use "Better Battery stats" app.

Better Battery Stats is an app. You can find it in the XDA forums and install it. You can also find it on the play store for a small fee which helps support the dev.
