Take in considerations that it shows green because it is almost full ...
When almost empty it becomes oranje ...
When empty red ...
In fact, as it has to be.
Rgds,
confirm working with new Lite ROM 21032 by onkolog. i installed sdkcerts 1st and FInix cab, soft reset, and it showed percentage on battery icon very nice. thanks all.
thank you very much
works wonderful
That is great, Thanks
I have seen in a bunch of threads where people talk about the % of their battery and how it drops from 100 to 90 right when they take it off of the charger...how do they know that? The only time I can see the battery % is when it is plugged in. What am I missing?
There are Widgets on the market to show you the percentage and some roms have it included or need to manually turn it on like cm6..

Can you name a good one? Something that is monitoring battery power seems like it would drain the battery more?
You could install the smoothsense theme which comes with a custom battery icon that has percentage in it
Are there any apps that work?

Battery indicator pro, batstat widget, or if you're rooted you could flash a battery icon mod onto your stock rom like what I use in my attached file.

Thank you. Do I just put the apk on my phone and run it?
battery status can be found in the market...good percentage indicator and free too
"Battery monitor" off the market is very good. Epic comes with it, so I dl'd it for my Evo and it's very good. Free too.
I made a version of something like Haus's battery code. Mine are round and have indiviual % (100, 99, 98...3,2,1)
Green: 30-100%
Orange: 15-29%
Red: 0-14%

Just flash it. (It will replace your current framework-res.apk)
MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP FIRST!
i am not looking for an application. i want to just display the percentage number close to the battery icon on the top task-bar. an application, even with a live title for displaying some info is not convenience.

This is a good app
Moved to WP7 Software development
All software requests go in WP7 software development please.
Take it easy

i appreciate your help. i know this application is good (according to lots of people's feedback) but it is not convenient. basically if i go the setting> battery saver, i can see the percentage number over there too. i really do not think an independent application just showing the percentage value make any sense. by the way, the live title will drain the miserable battery which is not what i want.
again, i appreciate your input.
to bad, MS can not implement such easy task.

There's no drain with that app. Tried and tested.

The background service runs once every 30 minutes, updates the tile and stops again. That's not really draining the battery

Its doable. Since xboxmod has already made a custom taskbar which has to be installed via his cab only available on certain roms though.
I tried really quick couple weeks ago to edit his icons with my own to have him resign it. They are located in a DLL just like windows mobile. When I made my own taskbar back then there was an icon for each 1% increment. Now back then there was a separate reg edit to get the % to show on the taskbar. But you could just use gimp and make a transparent layer with the % over the existing icon after using Reshacker( that's what I used couple weeks ago and couldn't find the icons, though worked fine on wm, possibly not able to read wp7 dll's ????) to extract the icons from the dll, then replacing the icons in the DLL after you add the % layer.
Would take a while. Just nobody has done it yet. If someone can tell me how/ where to get the icons from xboxmods taskbar I'd take on the task, might take a week or so though.

thank you for your reply. all i need is the percentage number. no need to replace icon. i am waiting for your good news.
can you make it shown on the top bar other than using a app?

Hi everyone, just got LG G7 from tmobile. I am confused, almost on every picture on the internet I see battery percentage in the top right corner of the screen. In my case in order for me to see battery % I need to pull down the notification panel. Is there a way to fix that? I already went to battery settings and switched on the option to show the battery % in notifications panel. Please help.

I was about to post the same question so I'm looking for the answer too...
If you go into Settings and then Battery, there is a toggle that says "Battery Percentage on status bar".

Ok, I was just messing with it and you are right. It will never show it in the notch but it toggles that option in the notification drop down.
I love the phone, but seriously, what is the point of calling this a second screen if you still have to pull down the notification bar to see the icons?
I hope they add an option for always show icons....

Hmm, that is kind of odd. I wonder the reasoning for the bug on T-Mobile version?
Oh you know what, he's right. I been too busy gaming to realize it shows all the time outside of games.
Well as you can see in the screenshot below, it does not show up on the T-Mobile version of the G7

I have T-Mobile variant and it does show on mine. Did you update the device?
I'm on T-Mobile, and it's showing just fine for me, no pull-down required. Toggling "Battery percentage on status bar" in Settings | Battery toggles it off and on (for me, anyway).
I did a factory reset and now I have the percentage in the notification bar. Perhaps it a bug??
Has to do with display size. Turn it all the way down.
Go to:
Settings
Display

You need to enable two things for this to work.
Go into Settings and then Battery and turn on "Battery percentage on status bar". \
You also need to select Standard from New Second Screen settings.

I have both set as you do and it still does not show. I am on to too
Ok tried everything. The only solution that works is to go to display settings and move the slider all the way to the left, the smallest size. Nothing else will work.

Yes this is the only solution that seems to work, good job guys
Now the question is, how do you make display size bigger without loosing the battery % in the notification panel? ?
