I just started ripping stuff out of com.htc.resources.apk, editing the png's graphics only not size or anything else. I want to dig a bit deeper and learn some more so I can change more Hoping some of the theming whiz's here can give me some advice and/or point me in the right direction.
I'm pretty stoked the lockscreen I edited came out as good as it did!

I was wondering how hard or complicated do I need to get in order to move the clock, date and verizon tag off of the tab and to where it is on the vanilla lockscreen. Where verizon is in the top right corner and the clock and date are 3/4 up on the left side. I'm guessing I'd have to edit an xml, is it as easy as copying the code from the vanilla lockscreen and replacing the code on my lock screen. Or do I need a deeper knowledge of editing xml and hex code. If I do, please help me get started I don't know what to begin to look for so if there is a guide or something directed to this, that would be clutch!
on a side note I was trying to change the images for the 3g icons in the status bar. only changed the graphics for the 5 icons cdma_sys_data connected, dormant 3g, etc... my phone wouldn't boot after I pushed the new framework. Is this more involved than just changing the graphics?
One more question, when I push a new framework to my phone I have to re setup my gmail accounts even the one tied to my phone. Is there a fix for this? Or do I have to every time?

I have Virtuous 3.1.0 installed, and I was wondering how I could port the white notification bar from CM6 over, is it possible? What would I need to do.

The notification bar is part of the framework apk file, which isn't good to mess with unless you know what your doing as far as signing and pushing it back to the phone and all that.
I only successfully skinned a status bar in the new version of HTC Sense from the Desire HD because it supports skins its much easier to skin without changing out the framework and risk infinite reboot.
here's a good example

but to answer your question, yes its possible
is it easy? yes and no since the framework is involved here
Ninja morph.... get the .png you want, and swap it!
it's possible, it just takes a bunch if messing around to perfect your craft... basically you take the framwork-res.apk and the com.resoucres.apk and switch the white over tot he black. easier said than done...
I was all for the white status bar when I had my Eris. Now I love the black, I actually make the white bar black on CM6..
Basically I need some help. I'm trying to theme the gb keyboard and having issues.
I want to change the color of the predicted words to white which i know how to do and have done successfully(which the apk will compile just fine.) But the problem im having is I cannot fix the & and the ⁢ problems, i edit the .xml to fix it and i try to compile the apk and always get errors. I dunno what to do at this point so i'd figured i'd ask for help. Anyone got any ideas. I've tried this a million times now even with the apk that has not been changed in anyway other the /values/color.xml and which ever other xml folder i cant remember at the moment.
Anyawesome.
Also looking to hopefully fix a issue with the space bar, wanna make it a tad bit wider, and possibly trying to fix the issue with the predictive words(when you type out a word then keep typing, then go back and click on that word to change it to another and instead of replacing the whole word it just past the word directly where you touched and doesnt delete the word you want to change) -but i dunno if thats just because of a froyo thing.

As you can see there is those annoying gaps with the space bar, dunno how to fix it....
Hi There!
I am trying to find a Unlock screen that was in an earlier ROM I had (Ultimate but I can't recall which specific one).
Essentially it was a bar two thirds of the way down the screen, that went across the entire screen and required to be pulled down. I have seen two of these one that was like a oval shape and the other which was a rectangle, and I would like the rectangle one back.
Anyone able to assist please?
Seems like you are talking about the Themed version of Epic Lockscreen.
Do you have an example and do you know how I can reinstate it?

This is how the stock version of Epic Lockscreen looks like. You need to install a Theme which has 5 lockscreens based on your ROM.
Thanks but that isn't the one I am talking about. The one I am talking about is a pull down bar
Something like this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=728857
that's not epic lockscreen, you're looking for a sense lockscreen. install widgetlocker.
I tried but I couldn't work out how to replace the lockscreen with another type, and they only give you 15 minutes before you can't get a refund before you end up keeping it so I uninstalled it. All it did by default was add more options to my lock screen I couldn't see how to change the format and look of the actual one.
Anyone else able to assist?
And another Bump!
sounds like valle mod 0.7. Not the new ones and there's no pictures of it.

that was a themed epic lock with a black bar you had to pull down
Hey guys, I usually do all my own theming for my widgets and icons but this one is giving me trouble. Could someone possibly help me out and change the RSS text from blue to white on this widget for me and resign it? I cannot for the life of me figure out how to change the text and everytime I have tried signing this it still won't install, I've tried 3 different signing tools.
Thanks in advance to anyone that's willing to help, I have done all the modding I need on this widget to get it to match the theme I'm working on, just need the text color fixed real bad.
Try this.
I took your apk, decompiled it, edited the files:
smali/com/androidcentral/rss/AndroidCentralRSS.smali
smali/com/androidcentral/rss/AndroidCentralRSSLong.smali
Compiled and signed the apk and it installed.
I Then noticed that the AndroidCentrallRSSLong did not need to be white. (white on grey was hard to see) So I changed that back to the blue you had.
Here is a screenshot of both widgets:

Hi guys,
I am looking for a way to mod my i9100 S2, running on cm10.1, by making the notification bar transparent (I have seen methods of this) BUT also overlaying the applications, such that the applications run like they're on full screen mode but the notification icons (no black bar) are overlaying apps. Currently, I am using THIS guide to hide the bar altogether so that I can have a full screen experience with a functioning notification/quick settings but I would rather if I can see the icons etc without the black bar and loss of screen available to apps.
A rough idea of what I want, I can use Photoshop to create a better example if needed:
What stock is like:

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
What I am trying to get:
(The yellow/orange is the space taken by an application)
Hope you liked my art and, probably more importantly, understand what I am after.
All help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,
We are a Web Hosting company in Iran and we want to run an "Android APP Store".
Do you (does anybody know) know good open source software so we can customize it for our local market?
Or do you know a company that sells these services (or software)?
Unrelated comment is unrelated. Seems like my request is nothing short of new, but can someone give me a hand?
