720p camera ISO settings

Hi all.
As most of you know, the shutter speed and framerate of the Desire camera is pretty lame.
So I was looking and playing around with the camera and media_profile.xml file and etc etc etc and came across the ISO settings in the camera. So I changed the settings from auto to 800 and whoa, there is some huge framerate improvement. I have yet to see any quality loss in the image, but the images are much improved.
Could someone else confirm this?
My specs are:
LeeDroid 1.9A, 8GB Class 2 SD (with Ext3 partition and A2SD+), and ofc HTC Desire.
Btw, you can only change the ISO in the 'camera/picture' mode, but it also changes the setting for the video mode.
thank you.

this is the wrong sub forum to post this, and there are already two threads discussing this, laying around. Please use the search button.
EDIT: try searching 720p iso
I did do a quick search, and nothing relevant came up. Sorry.
Hi,
I noticed this same thing with myself. When you put ISO 800 you really can use video recording at night! But now I have a problem. With custom roms ISO 800 makes no difference to ISO 400. I have tested several roms and several radios. I downgraded my phone as I had to get warranty back and tested the stock camera with ISO 800, it didn't work But I don't rember was it stock 2.1 version or updated 2.2.
I have also seached all over the web and xda, but no one seems to know anything about ISO 800 :/
So if anyone knows the answer how can I have workin ISO 800 on my phone, I would appreciate that

[Q] Camera settings

I know on some of the other htc devices the camera iso needed to be set to 800 for taking good photos. Does it need to be set to it on the evo as well or can it be left at auto?

[Q] Taking Videos

Hello, does anyone know if the there is a way to automatically set the ISO to 800 when selecting the video app because the only way you can take good videos (no lag) is opening the photo app, setting the ISO from auto to 800, selecting video then take the video. However, you then have to go back to the photo mode and reset the ISO to auto, otherwise the pictures will be to noisy. Please help me and other Desire users - as its a right pain !!!

This tweak requires hardware support, e.g. Snapdragon 200/400 can't work with 4K video.
That's why doesn't work on 520....
I get 30 frames on every resolution Lumia640xl.

Due to low hardware this trick isn't working well for some users.
Device
My device is 640XL. But in a previous comment a user write that he is successful with same device.

Not working on some low end devices
Like 640xl.
Hi, strange user @Akki_X. JFYI, 4K video requires, first of all, camera with > 8Mp matrix (3840 pixels × 2160 pixels = 8.3 megapixels, aspect ratio 16:9). So, don't waste your (and others) time for posting this kind of useless and stupid hacks!
@sensboston
I agree. But it is not a stupid post, just one lacking needed research. Plus why open a seperate thread to discuss something that has already been posted...
On a side note. I thought you were upset at how W10M is turning out, interestingly you are still around adding to posts...
Chill dude

I was just asking about this trick because I wasn't sure about this and I thought some of users may could help about this so that I posted. My intention isn't wasting Your time to read this post. Let people try to ho forward, don't push Them behind. E.g- Project Astoria was dead... Now many users are keep focusing on that.
Thanks! ??
@nate0, did you get my point? To shoot 4K video, registry change is not enough (absolutely). First, you must have a 4K capable camera, second - your handset hardware must have enough performance and power to handle 4K video stream. There is no point to "research"; Nokia/MS engineers aren't stupid and nonprofessional. If your phone's camera not marked as "4K capable", you can't (physically) shoot 4K videos. Period.
Changing the registry value to 4 doesn't make your device shoot at 4k, the registry value 4 means the highest your camera support.
i.e. If your device shows maximum capture as 720p but, your camera can shoot 1080p because it supports it, for example 5MP camera, then the value 4 will enable 1080, not 2160(4k).

Rear camera video recording issue

I have the S9 on Android 10 build QP1A.190711.020G960U1UES7DTD1. The rear camera video recording looks like *^%$, tried all available resolutions. I took this clip yesterday in bright daylight. Video res was set at UHD 60fps, HEVC was turned off. I have a Sandisk Extreme Pro 64GB card in the tray which has checked out at 88mbps write speed, so that wasn't hurting anything. The shot was ruined and came out looking like it came from a garbage flip phone. Check out the properties of the file - 320 x 240 15 fps resolution????? WTF??!?
When I uploaded Youtube didn't downsample it, not much worse it could get!
youtu.be/HjzcQUsmvuc
The file size is 853 kb for a 48 sec. clip. I reset the camera settings and seems to be fixed. WHAT would ever make it go to that low a setting? It's not even in the menu, the lowest available res is HD 1280 x 720. Even that looks halfway acceptable after resetting the app.
