Hi everyone,
My homescreen keep rebooting after I installed a live wallpaper from Puerto Rico, just to want to know if theres any other way to reset the phone to factory, because cant get to the settings screen. I took bat out, I turned off phone, and nothing works...
Thanks for your help.

Hold volume down, power, and trackpad then it will allow you to factory reset

DINC Safe Mode Problem

Hello. So I got into a problem this morning while updating Golauncher EX. I updated it and when I pressed home, I accidentally chose to have GoTo (a lockscreen application) the default app for that. Now my phone can't return to launcher at all.
When I reboot I just get a blank screen and can't do anything besides bring the notification bar down.
I know I can easily fix this by going into settings, but I can't get to that without launcher. So I tried to get into safe mode (boot holding vol down, track pad, and menu) and I can get there after the phone vibrates (it says safe mode in bottom corner), but before I can do anything the phone reboots. I don't really want to resort to a factory reset yet, so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.
Also I haven't rooted my phone yet.
Thanks for any help you can offer!
The only thing i can think of is press the search button, and see if that brings up the search screen. I would navigate my way to market or something, install adw, then hit home. The pop up for default should come up again, then you can make golauncher ex default?

Delete it from phone with computer. I think all the files pertaining to the app should be in sdcard/data and data/data...
Thanks for the tips guys. btw I tried using search, but nothing would pop up, but for some reason hitting menu would make a keyboard appear.
Anyways, something weird happened where when I tried booting into safe mode, my phone seemed to wipe all my settings and went into the normal launcher. It didn't delete all my apps, but made the majority of them strangely force close whenever I opened them.
In the end I just rooted my phone and everything is perfect now!
Good to hear.

[Q] Please Help: HTC One X Buggered :(

Hi All,
Please help me if you can with the problem I am now experiencing
HTC One X is my first android phone, i have had it for about 3 months. It has been brilliant ever since i had it
However last night I installed the Amazon APP Store as its now available in the UK. Ever Since my phone has gone absolutely haywire
Its a real stuggle to get it on, if you hold down Power it vibrates and the 3 lights flash a few times, then nothing. Sometimes it comes on! Then when its on its DEAD slow, like really really slow, also after a minute or so the resolution changes and things are all in the wrong place; then the touchscreen doesnt respond, so i turn it off and the cycle continues
I have managed to get back on it, and to get rid of the Amazon App store but I am still facing the same difficulities.
My HTC One X is UK version and is on stock ICM.
Do you have any ideas how I can return it to working order?
Also: DAMN YOU AMAZON
EDIT: BTW, when i press power, the lights at the bottom are on, and i can hear the volume sound change, but no screen. I am trying to factory reset but cant get the phone working long enough to find it
If you press and hold power button + volume down at the same time the phone will boot into Bootloader. From there you can do a factory reset. Navigate with volume keys to Hboot and use power button as confirm. There should be an option there for factory reset..

Unfortunately i cannot get the PC to look for it, and i cant get into the thing where you hold down power and down arrow
I think the screen has totally given up, which i dont understand; this was always a software issue
Install a RUU matching your device and then see what happens. If that doesn't solve it, then MAYBE hardware issue.

[Q] Home button does not work!

I have looked under the settings for hours and have not found anything! Need help :/
The only way for me to get back to home is to press back a bunch of times, I can't hold the home button to pull up recent apps either.
I am new to android, or just phones in general and my friend flashed my phone with AOKP.
Any help is appreciated!
Alright guys, I was the one that flashed his phone, and he's new to forums so I'll address the problem he's having.
We live far apart so can't really fix his phone for I don't have an S3 myself. His home button was working as it should, home would exit, long press would bring up the multitasking etc.
Today randomly his phone wouldn't respond to the home button. The thing is, I told him to wipe dalivk, do a factory reset, etc. and hes able to use the home button in the recovery but not the ROM itself.
There's a huge probability that he has possibly changed the settings somewhere binding the home button to do absolutley nothing on keypress, but I am just unsure of his settings on his phone. Could anyone help out please? Thanks.
what rom?
Flash stock? See if it's working again?

with CM10, you can configure what the home button does, or you can assign "nothing" to it. aokp is basically cm10 with more options, just fiddle with the settings and find that option, it should say something like "hardware keys"

HELP PLEASE SOMEONE! :crying::crying:
My ROGERS Samsung Galaxy SIII LTE SGH-i747M running Jelly Bean 4.1.1 has a lock screen bug! I have been googling around the web, but still couldnt find anyone with the bug I am having right now, so i am asking for someone to plz help me out here! The bug just started today, my phone is set to "Swipe" mode on the lock screen, so usually I would just need to swipe my screen to unlock my phone, but today, when i press my power button OR home button, my phone turned on, and showed my lock screen for 1 second, and it unlocked by itself. I didnt have to swipe or anything, all i did was pressed my power button OR home button, and it unlocked by itself. I know this is just a minor problem, but it is so annoying! I am sorry if i dont make any sense, because its hard to explain the situation I am having, but plzzz someone help me out here!
Thanks!!!

Goto settings >security and check what they are set at under lock screen. Less security than swipe is none, which means once it wakes up you are on the home screen.

But the problem i am having is that, mine is set at "Swipe", and before the bug happened, i can swipe my screen and unlock, but now, all i have to do is just turn on the screen with power or home button and my lock screen wall paper will show up and then half a second after, it will unlock to my home screen by itself, and it wont let me swipe.
The above bug happens to me sometimes. I then switched to using a pattern on my lock screen.
If I leave the phone unattended sometimes for a few hours, when I "wake" it, it reverts to a "swipe" to unlock instead of my pattern of password that was set. My phone is stock 4.1.1 and not rooted.

How to factory reset phone with broken screen?

Hey everyone!
So my brother smashed his Galaxy S3 and broke the screen.
Now, we're thinking of listing it on eBay (for parts/repair) but we would need to factory reset it before we can do so.
Question is, how can I do this without a screen?
(The phone still boots up and works fine, but just the screen is completely broken. ie. Doesn't display anything and unresponsive to touch input.)
I tried booting into recovery and pressing the (seemingly) right number of volume up/down presses to factory reset it, but that didn't seem to work.
Oh, and I believe I know it didn't work because the blue LED notification light is flashing, meaning there is an unread email, correct?
Anyways, any other ideas on how to solve this problem?
Thank you very much!
