Running the latest build of TwoPointTwo (RL2) and keep getting this error popping up:
com.htc.bgp has force stopped
Obviously it is some type of background process. After the message nothing seems to not be working like it should. This is stopped and re-started whenever certain apps are run so it just keeps showing up. I just don't know which app(s) this is specific to in order to fix.
Any suggestions or experience with this?
Surely someone else has come across this......it is listed on Google but most "fixes" have not worked for me.
Can someone at least direct me to Myn so I can post this question to him directly?
tot alk to myn isnt really hard all yu have to do is click his name on any post he made (for example the op of his rom) and you can send a direct message.
have you tried reflashing making sure to wipe data dalvik and cache twice before you do? also make sure you dont restore system settings if you use titanium back up after you do this as this can cause errors.

could someone help me on why every download is saying unsuccessful ?
protip - when asking for help, try to include as much relevant detail as you can. Rom? Rooted? Etc. Too many variables otherwise.

Lol, so much for relevant information... Same issues on stock after a good wipe,aye... When did it start, after flashing a particular rom or something or from day one?
Sent from my phone.
There's a glitch in the new market, google voice uses the same log in as the market so if one logs out the other won't work right. Just start up Voice and make sure it is logged in, you may need to log it out and re-login for it to take.
it started after i went from the stock to the "fresh" so then i switched to the "baked snack"...same issue so i switched back to stock...still it happened and now im on ava with the same issue...i wpie everytime and i wiped the cache as well but i noticed even when i tried to download something from for shared it said "free up some space on your phone" but there is like 378 mb of internal memory left. is that enough info?
I am currently running the latest version of Fresh on the EVO, and I am getting the same error message that reads: Download unsuccessful on 9 out of 10 attempted downloads.
Does anyone have an actual solution for this!?! Aside from wiping and reflashing? I have had to do that twice already and I've only had my phone rooted for about 3 days. HELP with the market prob, anyone?
Please?

Try signing in to google talk on your desktop computer, and then on your Evo, and then try to download.

I have a bizarre problem. I have flashed and used at least a dozen ROMs, with various kernels, most recently Myn's RLS 2 as my daily driver.
Recently, I installed MIUI EVO v1.29, which worked fine. However, when I tried to flash back to Myn's, I got a "process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly" error at start-up. Same error anytime I use the phone or dialer functions for anything. Phone will not make calls or connect to Sprint, force-close when trying to view software properties in "About Phone," won't allow me to do a "restore" from ##DATA#. Same problems on Cyan, Frost and several others.
However, all functions in MIUI still work fine with no error messages as does the latest rooted stock. All other ROMs I've tried are basically non-functional.
I have tried wiping cache, dalvik cache and user data. I have tried updating to the latest radio and PRI (successfully). I have tried restoring from ##DATA# in the working stock ROM.
Any ideas on how I can fix my phone and continue to enjoy custom ROMs?
Thanks in advance.
I've only had this problem when installing any app that tries to interact with the phone - specifically call log widgets (sms& call log app).

I'll give it a shot, but even if it works, it wouldn't explain the issue with a clean install.
Hello there everybody. I'm kind of new to modding my T-mobile G2.
I tried running the Pyromod 1.6 on my phone and I followed directions to the T. At first startup everything was running normally. On my previous rom (Villianrom) I used titanium backup to back up all my apps and some data. I was reinstalling my old apps using titanium and then I ran into some issues.
First, I kept getting force close issues with the android media process. I was also unable to download or update any of my apps via the android market.
Second, whenever I tried setting up a widget, I get even more force close issues with the media process and a couple others.
In an attempt to remedy this, I rebooted my phone and now its stuck on the startup of the mod. ( the blue hexagon beehive like flashing and graphic)
I'm not too sure if this is a brick or not and I'm currently just letting it run to see if time is what it needs to start up.
Any help or suggestions would be a great help and appreciated. =)
When it ran the first time it was a really cool mod so i'd like to keep it if possible.
Thanks!
if you can get into recovery i think you are ok, try to wipe cache/dalvik and run fix permissions
You're better off just wiping the phone, reflashing the ROM (and don't flash any other kernels on top of it), and then just select "restore apps with data" from Titanium's batch window.
Hey guys,
I'm hoping someone can help me out. Lately, I've been experiencing a lot of FCing with my phone. It first started with Blazer 1.8 and seemed to carry over to FreeGS3's latest version even after a complete wipe. What happens is that, after the phone is in use for a while, when I try to open an app, the screen goes black, then FCs that app. Then any app I try to open will cause the same problem. No matter how many apps I try to open consecutively, I get an FC. I can only get my apps to open again if I click on Remove All in the Task Manager or reboot the phone. Then I'm good a little while until it happens again.
At first, I figured it was a ROM issue. I migrated over to FreeGS3 and I got the same exact thing happening. I figured it was perhaps something that carried over from restoring my apps with Titanium Backup. So I decided to clear everything again, (system, cache, dalvik) and start from scratch. No Titanium Backup, downloading each app at a time. Well, I downloaded some apps and started using my phone and BAMM! It happened again.
I tried everything, even fixing permissions in CWM and TWRP (I'm using TWRP now).
So I got Clark from FreeGS3 trying to help me out by sending him some Catlog of when the crashing starts. I'd post it here, but they're very long. One thing I can say, is that on this new clean install, the only Errors I'm getting in Catlog is MP-Decision and Sensors (accelHandler). Any idea what these are and how I can address these?
Please guys, help me out! I'd exchange the phone, but I don't believe it to be a hardware issue as I've downloaded some Stability and Stress Test apps on the PS and they all make it through alright.
Thanks in advance guys...
Appreciate the help fellas. =/
I've run into this strange issue since yesterday - Any email app (and I've that includes GMail, Stock EMail, Cloudmagic, K9 Mail) closes automatically when I attempt to open any email. This happens only when opening an email, doing anything else on the apps is ok.
And the strange thing is that its not a FC either. It just closes. Without any Force Close error or exception. I've tried clearing the data on the apps, even removing the GMail app from system and re-installing it.
I assume it has to do something with whatever I did yesterday - I installed a couple of fonts from the Fonter Xposed module, but I had taken a full backup of all the fonts previously and restoring them isn't helping either. I've restored pretty much eveything I did, including removing Xposed and all. But the strange thing is it only occurs with email apps.
Anyone run into a similar issue in the past and have any clue? I've collected the logcat for the issue and I'm going over it, I see some NullPointerExceptions but not sure if these are relevant. I'm going through the logs in more detail right now, I'd appreciate if any other dev or someone who has run into this issue before can take a look and point something out.
If it comes down to it I'll just reflash everything, but just trying to avoid the trouble. Any help is appreciated.
<edit> Nevermind. I went through the logs, restored pretty much everything I can, cleared data, re-installed apps but couldn't resolve the issue. Can't point out exactly what caused the issue either. So I just went ahead and did a "Restore upgrade error" process from the LG PC Suite and re-rooted using Stump root. No data lost and issue resolved. Good enough. </edit>
