Is there a particular file within a ROM that is responsible for dimming the screen?
Having color issues with a ROM when the screen initially dims...it doesn't dim smoothly it shows a faint blue at the bottom especially on white screens.
So basically could I drag and drop the dim file from one ROM to another?
Thanks in advance.

I am beginning to notice these horizontal lines that run across my screen. They appear in the top left part of the display screen. They run halfway down my screen, and go nearly half way across. They only show themselves on true bright colors, except white. Bright red, Orange, Blue, you name it. They especially show up when I open up the Voltage Control application which has a yellow background. It seems that Voodoo Control has made these lines alot more noticeable. Is this an issue that is normal when using voodoo control, or should I swap this baby out for a new one?
Again, they can only be seen with bright colored backgrounds. Dark backgrounds show no trace of these lines.
Are you on cm7? I've expierienced this

No, I run StarksyROM v2 (MTD), and MarcusantROM v3 (MTD). It doesnt really matter what I run, as long as the kernel I use has voodoo control enabled, the lines become very noticeable.
Hi guys. I'm the proud owner of a Galaxy Nexus with no screen defects (except for black splotches that only show up on black screen in a pitch dark room, so that doesn't matter). My brightness usually remains around 15%. It's been only 2.5 months, and I've noticed something. If the screen is displaying WHITE (with the top bar and the navigation keys hidden), the top-right of the screen has a slightly blue tint (at the place where the clock, WiFi, and the signals are displayed, and these elements are usually blue as you might know). I know I'm acting like a little OCD, but that's what my observation is. I don't want my beautiful screen to depreciate this way
My question is, how do I avoid this burn-in?
In addition to that, I also want to hide the on-screen navigation keys (but that's not a priority right now, would be good if you could help with that as well). In short, I want to avoid all sorts of burn-in to this AMOLED screen due to elements that are constantly displayed on the screen (like the navigation keys area, the status bar (and the clock, battery etc.).
Sorry if this is a repeated post or if this isn't the correct section. I've searched the forums but didn't find a solution.
Thanks in advance...
There really isn't much you can do about the burn in, specially on SAMOLED displays, it's part of their life cycle. One thing that does come to mind to slow down the burn in is to use something like PA's PIE, which turns the nav and status bar areas into usable real estate.
When I disable the bottom or top navigation/notification bars the area of the screen where they were located is off color. I could have a totally white page open but those areas are blue. Is there anyway to make this go away? Is there something wrong with my phone or the ROM?
Also it gets worst if I lower the brightness levels.
Hi everyone, just wanted to check and ask if some users also has this on the upper portion of the screen, is this white inconsistency bleeding? please check using LCD test on black background on 100 percent brightness. it is not noticeable on normal conditions though. Thanks.
Yup. Got it on the left-upper corner of lcd. But it has shown only after recent installation of Xenon HD ROM.
Hello guys.
Install dead pixel test from play store and navigate to the grey screen by tapping or.
Open a full grey background on Google.
Go max brightness. Do you see a lot of smudges / dirty screen effect blotches? Or is it just my screen. They would look like darker spots on the grays. I have a lot of them of arbitrary size. More than any other lcd panel I owned.
Thanks
