I modified the settings when I dialed ##778 and when the phone restarted, it gave me the following:
"process system is not responding" and option to wait or force close. Now the screen is black, but I can feel the vibrating when I hit buttons.
Any ideas?
Well after a long ponder and no responses, I decided to pull the battery since it basically did nothing after about 20+ minutes... it restarted fine, I changed my ##778 settings back and I'm straight so far...

Just installed the v1.7 Rose on my Dash
went looking through the new menus and stuff, found the OMAP processor deal..
changed it to see what it would do and now the phone is frozen... everytime i restart it says "no service" the bluetooth and service LEDs blink, but nothing.
everytime i reset the phone the time resets and everything but it freezes and i cannot use it.
does it just take a little bit to think about the setting change?
HELP!??! haha
nvm. got it to work by pressing the camera button and plugging in USB.
I recently had my Kindle melt down. I was adjusting the volume while listening to Pandora and I had an error that read "something/android/phone.apk has stopped"
After pressing OK the error window would appear again and then again. After rebooting it would appear at the lock screen. After pressing OK there is only about .5 seconds before it reappears - not even long enough for me to swipe to unlock the screen or hit the recovery button.
I had to restore a prior backup.
I heard that it was probably and app that was making a call to the phone.apk. Any ideas what apps might do this? It is apparently something that is starting at boot.
I really liked the SimpleCM9 ROM that I was using.
Thanks.
I'm about driving myself crazy trying to fix this. I switched from LiquidSmooth to PAC-Man a while back and everything seemed great, but lately it's been freezing a lot. Even if I do a full wipe and reinstall, it freezes a great deal. I'll be typing out a text or browsing a website, and it will freeze. Sometimes the screen will blink quickly beforehand, and I'll have to hit the power button a few times to get the screen off, and when I unlock it whatever app it is happens to be responsive again for a little while longer and it'll have a "program is not responding" dialog box above it. Any ideas what I could do to fix this? Any help would be appreciated.

The problem:
A few days ago, my Moto G5S started rebooting whenever I turned on the camera. This happened both with the main Camera app and in apps that use the camera, like Google Translate or WhatsApp.
But the phone doesn't reboot completely; it shows the first screen with Motorola 'M' logo with 'Powered by Android' of the reboot sequence, and then starts the reboot again. And again, and again.
The first few times this happened, this re-reboot cycle stopped after about 10 minutes; the phone completed the reboot sequence with no input from my side and started working normally again. But the camera issue still persists, and when it reboots, the re-reboot cycle keeps going indefinitely, until I force interrupt it.
If I long press the power button in the middle of the reboot sequence, and then wait for a few minutes to turn on the phone, it usually starts up normally. Sometimes it goes into the re-reboot cycle, and then I have to power off, wait and try again.
The only guaranteed way to get it to restart it is to connect it to a charger or my PC, and then long press the power button to turn it off. If I then turn it on while it is plugged in, it starts up normally.
General observations, and what I tried:
- This is independent of battery life. It happens even when the phone is fully charged.
- It happens even when no other apps are running in the background.
- The phone isn't heating up.
- I removed all new apps. No difference.
- I did a factory reset. Still the same issue persists.
Any idea what could be causing this? The phone is in perfect working condition otherwise, and I don't want to have to get another phone because of this one deal-breaker, if it's something that can be resolved.
Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks in advance!
Okay, so suddenly when I use my finger print it is asking for my PIN. When I input the PIN the screen turns black and my lock screen simply reappears. So I use my PIN or finger print again and it turns black again and brings me back to my lock screen again.
Now and again previously to today after using my fingerprint it would ask me for my PIN occasionally That's not unusual. This time however it just goes black and kicks me back to my lockscreen. I proceed to repeat the process and same issue.
I can't access my phone via PC either since I can't change the settings for file transfer on the lock screen. Just wants my credentials again.
I forget which rom I am on since I can't get into download mode or recovery.
Any ideas? This may sound like a dumb question, but since this is never happened before, is there another way to reboot my phone without having the ability to access my reboot options? Holding down on power does nothing.
Okay, so on a hunch I long pressed the power button for two minutes. It ended up rebooting and when it loaded some of my app icons were grayed out and I got the message "App Not Installed" when I tried to open any of the grayed apps up. I rebooted again and everything is back to normal.
Also, when I plugged my phone back into my PC I got the authorization prompt again to allow connections and it fixed my device not showing in ADB. Does this key expire sometimes?
Just wanted to let everyone know the issue seems to be fixed. Well, for now.
