Is there a way to change the dialing sound for each number. I hate the waterdrop sound.

DTMF would be great but simply changing it would do the job too ... any geeks around for doing some research. I am a noob in linux, sorry

These are the unlock and lock sounds made and can be used with any ROM. I thought i would share for anyone who wants to use them as well.
Just download and using rootexplorer or similar app just copy and paste in /system/media/audio/ui folder then fix permissions and reboot.

I just find the sounds i like and reformat them to the proper format and replace them with the existing sounds.
If I end up not liking it, but how do I get out of using the sounds? I love trying new things.

Never seen that before try and delete the stock sound file before pasting the new one and see if it still shows the same message.
I've tried uninstalling, rebooting, using different file explorers and changing permissions in super user...all I'm getting are failed attempts. Got this when trying to delete the sound first. I'll keep trying!
So, if you use custom notification sound, would you mind to share?
I found all default notification sounds are pretty boring.
I am not looking for some silly sounds btw.

Zedge has a lot of sounds ... but they are merely for ringtones ...

I downloaded an app from Play calls Ringtone Maker, it enhances the tone quality for the one you choose, and it did help me a lot, now I am not missing any calls

may be you can edit the ringtones first with audio editor (wavepad, adobe audition) so the ringtones can be louder.

Thanks buddy! Will check this out right now. The sound im actually looking for is the playstation menu sound, when you scroll through icons/playlist etc, or maybe the xbox 360 one

Does anyone know how to disable the sound that plays when the volume is adjusted? There is not a file in system/media/ for the sound.
Your question is kinda vague and I'm not sure if I'm following. But you can go to your system/media/ringtones to view the ringers or drop one in. Or in settings/sound/phone ringtone, I'm pretty sure at the top there is a selection for silent.
Think he means the default beep when you max the volume,would like to know the answer myself.

UI sounds are in /system/media/audio/ui. I'm not sure which one of these if for the volume rocker sound though.

Its not there,I think it is hard coded somehow in just the same way as the android bootanimation is
Just decided it was time to try a new ROM and found this in the settings. The ROM is the latest JBSourcery experimental build.

Not every ROM will have that option. I'm curious as to find a workaround on the backside.
