i have the nova 003 but i have to ship\ it back bc blue ish lines all throu the screen

actually curious as well. but i doubt it for the same reason we cant get touchwiz 3.0 for the evo..
was playing around with my bosses new EPIC yesterday and love the screen but not really impressed overall...wish the Evo would've come with AMOLED screen...anyway, his lock screen is sweet...anyone have this ported over to Evo yet ? any other things from the epic ported over ? thanks guys...love the forum and my evo...
also the panoramic settings amongst others in the epic camera...some really cool stuff there...hoping something works for my evo soon...

How do I find out what hardware version my phone is? I see all kinds of talk about dif versions but not how to find out.
Menu > Settings > About Phone > Hardware Information

i just picked up an evo a week ago and it came with 0003, i know 0004 exists, is one better than the other? i know it has to do with the screens or something
It actually doesn't have anything to do with the screens; whether you get an epson or a novatec seems to be as random as ever regardless of your hardware version. If I recall correctly, hardware 004 has a slightly different camera (I can't recall if it's considered better or worse than the others) and I think some minor changes in the height of the power button. Presumably also some other minor internal revisions.

Can't find Hardware Version
Hello!
I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering if there was an alternate way of determining my hardware version. The first field under "About Phone" is Status, and I don't see Hardware Version anywhere. I'm running Gingerbread Evo Deck 1.3.

They had swapped screens in 0004..
Ok well as in the title everyone can tell i want a android mp3 player/ipod touch im looking at getting a droid incredible/og droid off ebay and making it into a ipod touch android phone. Do you think that the incredible would be well suited for it or that a og droid would do just as good. Im looking to root and have some fun with the device also i know that og droid is easy to root from having when they first came out and i was wondering how easy rooting process of incredible is and how the roms are. any input will be much appreciated
Rooting on the inc is simple, one click. Flashing roms is the same as the og droid. I think the inc would be better as an mp3 player because of the bigger screen, and no physical keyboard, faster processor etc.

thanks guys i went with incredible with bad esn seeing that i dont need cell service. It was little more pricey than og droid but i figure gingerbread and other roms will run alot faster on droid incredible. do you guys think any rom would be better than any other rom for music?(even though i prob will try a bunch out seeing that my x2 cant even have roms on it)
