[Q] How to unroot and get slide back to OEM?

For reference how would I go about getting the phone back to complete stock? I have tried 2 ROMs so far, CR_Mod_1.35.531_OTA Full ROM and CyanogenMod-6 for MT3G Slide - V6.0.0-RC1. Just in case that information is relevant. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
You are kidding right? you use the search bar yet?
The poster was not rude when he asked his question, i'm not sure why you felt the need to reply in the manner that you did. If you don't have a reply or find the informaton yourself by the time I get home, bud, ill post the thread.

I agree with you, but seriously... a lot of these questions that are being asked (in the development forum nonetheless) should be going in Q&A obviously. Not to mention that pretty much any question that gets asked generally can be answered in The Slide Rom Bible Thread.
Yeah please search next time. Sorry for the previous poster but serioulsy we have people asking thed same questions over and over again and clogs up the forum. Also technically is in wrong section should be in qa so please be carefull of this for future posts
The answer you are looking for is in the bible thread. Flash the champion build with those instructions and would be unrooted.

I apologize for the rudeness, my jerk of a brother also has a slide and frequents this forum. he uses my laptop seeing as he doesnt have one and used my account seeing as it is saved in the browser. again my sincere apologies.
Edit: Fell free to Pm me whenever you need help Xerphon. again my apologies.
I think there was a spot on his butt you forgot to kiss.
Why do you people thing there is a Q & A section is this subforum?! YOU CANNOT post your question in the most popular subforum section just because you think you'll get a quicker answer here. This happens way too much to be accidential and everybody still claims it was.
I apologize for posting in the wrong place, and I did check the Slide Bible but didn't see anything... anyway, thanks encrypti0n for the help.

Really? It's the second post in the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6846976&postcount=2
Sorry for not checking the second thread in that post, once again I apologize for wasting the 3 seconds it took you to read the thread title and the other 30 seconds it took for you to decide to throw your 2 cents in after I already apologized. Once again, thanks encrypti0n for your help. Hopefully we can consider this matter closed now, I made a mistake no need to repeatedly throw it in my face.
Isn't there a esprimg.img file flying around here that is a full factory espresso rom?
Edit: heres to me thinking the champ rom was a regular rom and not a esprimg.zip factory flash. >_>

Well I got my replacement from tmob for my mt3gs and now I have tried just about every thread I can and nothing gets rid of root. 3 weeks ago I was asking for help to get rooted and now that is a breeze but getting it back to factory is another story. I have looked and looked and literally tried all the posts that pertain to the espresso my touch 3gs. Not a real big deal since I have the replacement but who knows it would be nice to have it stock just so there isn't any problems. I even tried the bilbe and the threads that encrypti0n posted and well all I can find but I still have root. I asked for root and I got it

You have got to be kidding me. Obviously you either didn't search at all or you don't know how to use it. I did ONE search and found the exact thread with everything you need. I searched the ENTIRE slide section (not just this section), and found it sitting there on the first page of search results. The only search term I used was the word Unroot. Here it is you lazy bums: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=705345&highlight=UNROOT
Oh yeah, and I have used this method and it DOES work! I have unrooted 2 to be replaced already.

I guess I was right, you really didn't search or look at anything on your own. The same link I just posted is listed right here on the 2nd post in the Bible thread. Stop wasting other people's time and look for it on your own next time.

Wow so hostile with everything Well here is the long and the short of it. I tried this thread and all the others as well and when it came down to it I made a typo in one of the directories and didn't catch it until now. I wouldn't have posted and or asked without trying everything first. I don't like to bother people. Well at least it proves I am human and not a god like some people. Yes it worked well and yes it did restore to factory. Thanks for the effort..
Well either way, I am glad it at least worked for you in the end.

Does anybody freaking read or search before asking all these questions???

I consider myself a noob, I'm definitely far from even being considered a dev, and I can answer half of the questions I see on this forum from RESEARCH I've done scouting around the forums and actually reading the threads. Did anybody read the sticky about before you post??? Just sayin' come on ppl, I read these things to LEARN and I'm getting tired of having to skim through all the repetitive garbage to find something new and/or useful.

isnt that a part of research?
While some days I would be inclined to agree with you...
Two things come to mind:
Isn't this post a contribution to garbage posts? Really? Yet another post that I, and everyone has to "skim through" before finding the answer we are looking for?
Lighten the f*ck up. Talk about a first world problem.
Like you've never had a hard time figuring out a new forum/technology/device/community, needed basic help, been a noob. Like we ALL have. Give the noobs some help, a kind suggestion where to get an answer, an Example of how they might have used search to find the answer, perhaps a quick Constructive response on proper forum etiquette and good form.

WE have a thanks button on here but wheres the DISLIKE button for me people like this...
Like everyone else has said already if you would actually do all the searching you say you do then you would have answered your own question since what you posted has been posted/said/stated many times already. This board is meant for people to help each other out in one way or another not for A$$es like you to try to bash or say dumb things to people that are barely learning.
Points taken and true
Guess I just had to blow off some steam, I was looking for a particular thread that had some answers in it that I needed and was getting frustrated, and yes I was using the search.
I do try to help where/when I can. I was going to quote everybody but if ppl read the thread they'll see that I'm replying to everyone who posted besides myself. I'm going to go get a cup of coffee to enjoy with my humble pie now....
I tried to thank all who posted but I think I reached my limit so...Thanks
I realize this may not appease yours (or others) frustration, but sometimes people ask again because other threads pertaining to the same subject have become so huge it would take hours to search for the answer. I work full time, actually right now I work full time and a half and while I do my best to seek out existing answers I will, at times, just ask and take a chance that someone will be helpful enough to answer rather than saying "just search".
If you've ever worked in tech support then you'd understand that part of the 'job' is repetition, answering the same question, giving the same advice, over and over and over again.
Yes I agree it's good for people to look around, read up on what's out there but when threads become full of back and forth chit chat (which I tend to enjoy reading lol) it makes it harder to find the answer you are looking for, especially if you are on limited time.

Actually I generally like the back and forth also, I was using the search and couldn't tell you how many results I got, then trying o filter through them all...UGH!!! I went back to it after my little rant and eventually found what I was looking for, but again...UGH!!!
Never worked in tech. support and don't want to, though one warehouse I worked at I did become the "IT" guy everybody came to before they actually put in a help ticket.
I'm self taught through the help menus and forums in all things tech that I do so I've spent countless hours on my laptop or phone at some truck stop in BFE with a crappy wifi signal that I have to pay by the hour for or very slow data connections trying to figure things out or get some fix/rom/mod/program downloaded. Or just waiting for pages to load so I can read to find out if there's an answer there for me.
and again the humble pie was deserved and probably needed, everyone should have some on occasion, I'm not above admitting that I was wrong.

This is my kind of subject.... Guys you do know that you can use Google to find stuff on xda. Put your search words in with xda at the end. Just because your a noob here does that mean you have to be a noob in regards to searching the web. How did you find xda how did you find epic touch thread...? No problem helping others who want to help themselves. I know a lot of you say just keep answering the same question but really trying and help yourself....

Me too. I agree with your and playaas posts. It get old seeing the same questions asked all the time.
If anyone needs any help with the epic touch hit me up on Gtalk @musclehead84

Touch sensitivity problem is still on stock JB? Any solution?

I have converted from yakjujp to yakju and received the 4.1.1 OTA update. Now, I'm on 4.1.1 rooted yakju.
The same problem many -including myself on both yakjujp and yakju- experienced with touch sensitivity on 4.0.4 where the screen stops being responsive and regained after pressing the home button and releasing after a few seconds. Is there any solution or workaround? Thanks in advance!
Perhaps you should read the other threads we posted on this issue, we have tons of talk about it. Still no solution.
Hold on let me create another thread with the solution on this subject. After all, xda is just a giant dumping ground for mindless f***s who can't search.

i havent had that problem since 4.0.4.
I still wonder why someone who does not like a topic or a question but still leaves a comment? It's easy, you don't like it just ignore it and don't waste your precious time on reading such mindless topics, except some life impotence must have its effect on people on every possible aspect of life. So I feel sorry for you!

No its not that. When an issue has already been discussed in depth with all the good answers and relevant info, you're never gonna get all those good answers in a new thread. People just won't post their answers again so you miss all the good stuff by starting a new thread. Its for your own benefit to get the most answers possible. People aren't gonna post their details again, so you're missing out. Use the existing thread and you get the complete picture on your desired topic.
In before the lock!

There is your way of explaining it, and there is another one that's offensive and for no reason. Thanks anyway!

It can take a few hours before the server changes your account, if its been longer than that contact a mod
The unlock is not instantaneous - this is done to prevent spammers from making 10 quick posts and then going to town.
Apologies for the delay - be patient, you will be unlocked soon.
Ok, thank you - I am unlocked. So glad to be a member of XDA

Hi, My name is Sean, Have actually been using XDA for a few years now. Never really had an urge or need to post before. I follow directions well. So I'm starting to see situations and threads that I want to post in/about, but cant. Guess I feel like I have things to share now...? Anyways. Here is one of ten, just saying hello. Hello.

Custom roms Q&A question

Sorry if this has been brought up.
I know developers spend countless hours doing great work and it is appreciated.
I read in countless threads(some more than others) where people who do not have time to read countless pages that apply to the rom, get roasted for not reading and get stupid responses telling them to read, or its 3 posts above your post dumb azz for an answer.
We all know the search function is crap.
My question? Or suggestion? Some roms have this already, but within the 1st few posts, have a most often asked questions and answers page for lazy people who don't have hours to read.. That would relive all that read every post many times a day from getting irritated from the stupid posts... Just my. 002 cents worth
