Anybody else tried this one out?
Heres a little more info for the uninitiated.
The YouTube Remote app only shows in the Market in the US, but here is an apk for you guys/gals.
Tried it with my laptop, pretty slick. Unfortunately can't seem to get it working for my PS3, which is where I really want to use it!
Incidentally, first time I've logged into YouTube on my PS3, the YouTube XL version that it defaults to is pretty sweet!
Hi all,the ITV player is now updated with live streaming feeds but still restricted to Wi-Fi only. From the news update at engadget mobile, they mentioned that the service is following the footsteps of BBC and Channel 4. Does anyone know where to get the channel 4 app or what it's being called or how to download it? Couldn't find it in the Android market. Cheers
Sorry about the mix up,I thought the app included live streaming. It doesn't. Its still the same app release a few weeks ago. Disregard the post please.
doh
fancy changing the title? It got my hopes up

works with mine!
As I have read all the news articles about the the Fire TV Stick, a number of them make reference to a remote app that you can use instead of included remote. One goes on to mention that it is an android only app although they believe a iOS version is in the works. All of the articles make this sound like a amazon fire or at least approved solution, not some work around with a general remote app from china.
None of these articles point to the android based app. I have checked the Amazon store and the Play Store but see no specific reference to an Amazon endorsed remote app. Does anyone have any idea on where this might be or is something that will come as the Fire Stick is released.

The app hasn't been released yet. I'd expect it to be released on or before Nov 19th (the Fire TV Stick release date).
apologies if this has been posted before, but im new to the AFTV scene and aint posted on here in years!
I have this app for my android tabelt and the latest version now allows Virgin customers (which im one) to log in with their virgin ID rather than Sky and watch the channels live. This works fine on android.
Ive got (what i think is) the apk of this (got it using that apk scraper that pulls apks from the google play store) and sideloaded onto my aftv.
Now, with a mouse it works fine, but what i cant find is the option to log on with your virgin account, like comes up on the tablet? The only section about live tv brings up a link to the sky go app (which the old versions of this app did).
Do i have an old version of the app / apk? And if so does anyone have a link to the latest? I did put the url to the latest version in the scraper though
Anyone had any joy?
It seems like (if i do have the latest apk) that the option that appears on the tablet version isnt on when its on fire tv, but not sure how thats possible!!?
cheers

Don't know if you've got this fixed out, but my sky sports for android tablet version on the Fire TV has the ability to sign in using Virgin media. Wonder if you just don't have the correct sky sports apk version installed. You're looking for Sky sports for android 3.0 (427) dated Jan 15, 2015. I downloaded mine from the aptoide store which I sideloaded to the fire tv.
Just F.Y.I If you sideload the apotide apk app to the Fire Tv and do a search, the old version will pop up. Turns out if you install a browser on the Fire TV, like Maxthon, you can search other stores which will allow you to find the latest version. I've found out that there are too many websites offering the latest version of apps and after sideloading them, it turns out to be nothing more than them putting one of their stores on to the fire. At least aptoide is clean and you can find the latest app you're looking for.
Want to sideload Kodi on your Fire TV?
Want a mouse to control your sideloaded apps? Want to quickly launch your apps?
Here’s a remote app can meet all your needs, that's Wukong TV Remote
And we can see it's a good app from the reviews on Google Play
Just two steps and you can enjoy Kodi, Popcorn Time and many other apps.
1 .Download Wukong Remote
search Wukong Remote or Fire TV on Google Play and you'll find it
2. Download Kodi from Wukong Remote’s app center
Finished!
Spaaaaaaaam.....
then every other dev listing an app is spamming too..
Spam?
This app gets 4.27 on Google Play and I don't think advertising this kind of app is spamming.
This isn't a seasoned developer improving the scene. I'm guessing it's an advertiser with 3 posts trying to get you to download their likely ad supported app store.
