so when you click on your event and choose menu/edit.. what does it give you?

When I press menu within event I get 4 options: add reminder, delete event, share and agenda. No option to edit event.

[Q] editing events on Pure Calendar and Pure Grid Calendar

Hi all-
Not sure if this is the right place for this question, but I emailed the dev and he wasn't able to help with fixing this.
I'm using both Pure Calendar and Pure Grid Calendar and can't figure out an easy way to edit events. In both programs, when I tap on an event, it takes me to an "Event Details" dialog. At this dialog, when I hit menu, I get the options of "Delete Event" "Share vCalendar" and "Agenda". If I hit agenda, I then get an Agenda view which I can then hold press on an item to edit it. Is there a way to edit events with less steps?
I'm on a rooted Incredible running Skyraider 2.5.2 Vanilla. When I look in Applications (under settings), it tells me my Calendar is "Calendar for Android Version 2.01.0018.263529".
Thanks!
I don't believe so.

Okay, thanks.
If anyone else has any ideas, please let me know.

[Q] Sense Calendar Question

Quick question... I've just switched back to Sense from CM6, and I'm wondering if I am losing my mind.
Am I right in saying that it is NOT POSSIBLE to edit calendar entries using HTC calendar? That seems unbelievable to me, but so far the only options I can see are to create an entry or delete. There is no "edit" option. I'm 99% certain that the AOSP calendar has this.
Can someone please confirm?
Thanks,
Matt_TX
EDIT: Even more bizarre... I CAN edit entries created on my Exchange Calendar, but I CANNOT edit entries created on my Google Calendars. So weird!
My edit option seems to depend on where the entry comes from. If I add something striaght to the calendar I can edit it as I please. If it's something that sync'ed from lets say Facebook then I can not edit it. My work exchange also syncs and it all depends on what the event is and if it's something I originally made or not. All in all I think it depends on the type of even it is but I will also be watching this thread to see if someone has a little more info they can chime in with.
This is really very strange...
I can add, edit and delete apppointments on my Exchange calendar - regardless of where the entry was orignally made - Phone, OWA or Outlook.
I can ONLY add or delete (NO EDIT) appointments on my Google calendar(s) - regardless of where the entry was originally made - Phone or Web.
Anyone know why this is the case? AOSP calendar works just fine... Is this a bug in Sense?

[Q] Change the default reminder time for calendar events?

Not sure where best to post this, so hope this is the right place. The default reminder time for calendar events is 15 minutes. Can the default be changed rather than having to manually edit each event I add in my phone? Or is this another example of MS locking down most settings on an otherwise great OS?
I looked and looked for you... no success. Sorry, but I believe this will be another one of those "wait for update" features.
Set default calendar reminder to none.

I have the same exact problem. I need to set my default calendar reminder on HD7 to none.
Is there a way to go into the registry using a regeditor to do this?

[Q] Marking a Calendar Event as Private

Hey all,
All of my email and calendar settings are correct, and I am sync'd with the Exchange/ActiveSync for work. When trying to create a calendar invite it will show correctly in my Outlook client as well. The issue I am having is when creating a calendar invite on the phone itself - it doesn't give an option to mark it as private. After you've created the event and go to view it - it shows Privacy as "default". If you click "edit" on the event you don't seem to get the option to change it.
I know there are options for rooted phones, (I searched to the best of my ability) but wanted to see about a stock GS3 (you know how it is, work phone).
Any ideas or different calendar suggestions are more than welcome. Thank you for the help.

[Q] Trying to display first event from specific calendar

I've been stumped on this one for a while. I'm making a module that displays the first event from a specific calendar.
So far, I've been able to identify whether or not the first event is from that calendar using it's color. However, if the first event in the calendar isn't that color, nothing will display.
Code:
$#C0COLOR#=#ffc2c2c2?C0TITLE$
Is there a way to identify the first event of a certain color (calendar)?

If you only want to display the events from a specific calendar, easiest way would be to select only that one for the widget (option is on the main widget edit screen). Then #C0TITLE# automatically is the next event of that calendar. If you want to display events from multiple calendars, then you sadly are out of luck. There is no build-in way to select a specific event from a specific calendar out of multiple.
If you are proficient enough with Tasker, you might be able to select the event there and then post it to Zooper.

Hmm, that wouldnt be sufficient. I have some experiene with Tasker, but not sure how I would go about doing that. Do you think you could guide me in the general direction?

Sorry but I'm not that good in Tasker myself, so I can't help you with this.
