[Q] RTF in HTC DESIRE - Desire General

How to open RTF file in my HTC desire?

I tried sending an RTF file to myself in an email.
When I tried to open the attachment, I was able to open it with an application called HTML Viewer, which seems to be a native Android application.
Since I have Dropbox installed, I was also able to open it with Dropbox HTML Viewer and Dropbox Text Editor.

Thanks Jason,it is working.

Nokia SMS file, stored in plain text. More info here:

Without having to download special software, you can first try copy the files to PC through ActiveSync, rename them as .txt files by simply add a .txt extension, e.g., filename.vmg to filename.vmg.txt, then open with Notepad.

file viewer

is there a way I can see the files on my wp7 or a program to look through what files are on there.
You can use this program called RemoteExecute and execute \Windows\FileBrowser.exe to browse the files.
However you will not be able to open each file, there is another program specific for HTC devices but I don't remember it.
You can also use this webserver to browser the files, a lot of them are readable

Download zip file email attachment on GN

I bought a license for TitaniumBackup Pro and they emailed me a zip file containing the license. I'm now using a GN and I can't download the zip file because its a potentially dangerous file type.
Without access to a PC, how do I get thiis license?
What email are you using? Email app, gmail app.. webmail?
My CM7 gmail won't let me download attached zip files so i use the Browser, Mobile Gmail page instead.
Gmail and built-in email app.
Will try the browaer method!
Look on the market for an app called Save My Attach. It should let you save any attachment regardless of file type. There's also another app i use called Attach My Files or it may just be called Attachments. That app lets me attach anything i want in Gmail. Make sure the TB license TXT file is in the root of your sdcard when you run TB for the first time so it applies the license. Good luck.
Save my Attach. Great tip, thanks!
Well save my attach would be great if it worked. I just sent myself a zip file and got the same error LOL. I think i like the 2.3.x version better.

UPDATE:
Yes, it is possible! Here is how:
1. Create a html file, for example bookmark.html
2. Put this file in a folder in the internal storage, for example: \Download\bookmark.html
3. Open the browser and set the homepage to Other and fill in this:
file:///sdcard/Download/bookmark.html
4. Kill the browser process, make sure you open a fresh new web browser session.
The bookmark.html will be loaded
===========================================================
Hi,
Is it possible to set the browser homepage to a local html file?
I saw we can set the homepage to "Other ", but I don't know how to do it.
If this is possible, I would like to create something like shortcuts of websites in local html for quick access.

Browser doesn't appear to like local html files for some reason. I just tried to open on via root explorer but it isn't a listed option. Also as I'm sure you've already tried, trying to link via browser only just searches google for whatever you type in.

Homescreen Link
Now, were you able to put a bookmark on your home screen? I have the link set up to open my spreadsheet in my browser (thanks everyone for the directions), but when I put the link on my homepage it tries to open as a PDF rather than sending the XLSX to quickoffice? Any ideas?

Can I open a HTML in my browser

Hi Guys,
I have a cd-rom which uses firefox browser to open a series of slides and images, I have put this on my Hard drive and I can use this just fine here, I have tried to put it on my HOX because I think it could run, it requires the same flash player to run but when I try to open the html file it only gives me the option to run DB Text editor, File editor or html viewer.
Is there anyway I could get it to open in the web browser, or maybe alter the code to have it open in opera for instance.
