Seems like a daft question but how do I know if my apps are on the SD card?
In the settings/apps/apps on SD no apps are listed but I have all my apps installed and more memory than before...
Anyone?
Sam
This great little app will show what's already on SD + what can be moved to SD & will help you move it:

Hi,I've got the following apps installed on my unrooted Froyo phone with official OTA update and would like to know if anyone with the same device+OTA update, has been able to move them onto the sdcard without doing the adb shell thing I.e. setting install location. The apps are: mippin,Advanced Task Killer, facebook, mediafly,Quadrant Standard,Skype on 3,3uk browser launcher and voice search. With only the following installed,I've got about 95.67MB of internal storage left.Is that still a good amount /size to have for the internal storage? Thanks

You can download the App2SD by Sam Lu from the Market
The app will show which apps can be moved to SD card.
The App2SD itself will be installed on your SD card, so no worries about it robbing the phone's RAM.
I've noticed that after I've rooted I have issues with widgets. Do you have to have the relevant app stored to the phone instead of to the sd card for them to be available?
this has nothing to do with rooting. widgets can't be stored on the sdcard. they must be on the internal memory for android to recognize them

What's the space of your internal storage? Downloading apps from market always saves the app to internal memory before moving to sd card (if the app allows) Sufficient internal storage is essential.

If I know, Desire doesn't allow to download large apps from market. You have to find APK file somewhere and than install it directly from SD card (after moving the APK file there). Don't forget to check Unknown resources in settings of applications.

Hey, Thanks for the quick response. I have my sd card partitioned and data2sd so i have 760 mb free. Ive heard that the issue is that the desire has a small cache but im a noob so i dont exactly know what that means or if there is anything i can do about it.

There are workarounds for this. Remind me to post a script on the thread.

Hi.
I have many bigger apps (mainly games) moved to SD card. Currently I have Android 4.0 ROM and I want to test some of them but I am afraid that backing up apps that are moved to SD card will make them unavailable to restore or something. Are my apprehensions right or there is nothing to be afraid of ?
Take a look at this link.

Only thing i found was:
"Settings"-"ASUS-Usersettings"-"App-Insatllation"
There you can choose if you prefer internal or external storage for App-Installation. Maybe something you've been looking for
OK. Thanks for the quick response. I just ordered the US version in 16GB, so will put in a 64 GB card.

The Apps settings menu has a "movable" list next to downloaded, running and all.
I don't have an SD card so I can't take any action on the apps listed there. But it sure looks like you'll be set.
I did this last night. I moved my apps, music, and books to a 64gb sd card. However, some apps were not able to move to the sd card. Not sure why but it said it was not allowed and these were third party apps. I used wondershare mobilego to move the apps and moved the music/books by plugging in my sd card to my pc.

You need root and Link2sd Plus.Create a second partition (ext 2,3 or 4) on SD Card and you can link almost everything on that partition. But you can move/link the apps and games after you install them on phone.
Can't show screenshots ,coz i am new member ,sry.
