[Q] Google Calendar sync week-end problem (on MIUI)

Hello everybody,
i've a strange problem with Google Calendar, the MIUI Rom (developer 1.8 and stable 2.3.5) and my HTC Desire HD.
I specify that i've already searched on the forum for similar issues and i've already posted on a couple of italian forum, but i've found nothig...because i'm a noob but not a nasty noob
The problem is this:
Google Calendar badly syncronize the week-end (only the sunday) of one of my calendars.
It moves forward of a week or two the events that are on a sunday.
So, i find sundays without events, sundays with 2 events and all the sunday's events moved forward...
I have 3 caledars.
This one is the one with my job turns and it's the only that has problems.
I created it using some features of Google Calendar, just like "repeat every 7 weeks" and so on...
I started experiencing this problem when i switched to MIUI Rom (developer).
When i was using the stock HTC Rom everything worked well.
I've just made a full wipe and flashed the MIUI rom Stable, but the problem is still there. Even if i haven't restored calendar data with backup tool.
I've tried to delete "Calendar Archive", "Google Calendar" and "Google Calendar Sync" data and cache, but when it syncronize again the problem remains.
That's kinda weird and disappointing....
It seems a problem of the calendar itself...
I hope you can help me!
Thank you!
A little update, if someone's in interested or willing to help.
I've done a full wipe and i've changed ROM, switching from MIUI to CyanogenMod 7.
I've reinstalled all the apps from scratch, from the market, not from Titanium Backup or similar.
Anywaym i still have the Google Calendar issue.
I suppose it's related to the calendar itself but i don't know what could cause it.
I'm going to change the weekends in the calendar, avoiding to create them with "repeat every X days" and trying to do a singular event for every day.
Any suggestion?
Someone else has experienced that?
Thank you!

I would try a non CM based rom. As MIUI is built off the same code so any issues MIUI has will most likely be on CM roms as well.
Thanks!
You're right, i didn't think about it...
It's a shame because i really love CM and i like MIUI too...
I think it will try to recreate from scratch my calendar, without any "repeat", first of all.
If it's gonna work...good for me
I don't wanna leave CM just for a calendar issue...
I'll let you now the results of my tests!
Bye.
As i imagined, if i cancel all the events on the sundays and i re-create them without using any "repeat any X days" it works well and the bug is gone.
It's kinda strange and silly but i'll take it as it is.
I hope this will help someone else with similar problems.
Best regards.

Stock Android Calendar

Is there any way to install the stock android calendar rather then the samsung calendar? The samsung calendar does not handle overnight events that span multiple days well, which I have many. Thanks for the help.

If it's anything like the vibrant, dropping the stock calendar might not work. The main framework caused glitches in the actual stock calendar app itself. There are many 3rd party apps that might work for you.
I have the same/similar issue. Overnight events (my gf's night shifts) show up as "all day" events and not as blocks like in the regular Google Calendar.
I've downloaded and tried Jorte, but it had the same problem (and no matter what setting I use, my eyes strain to read it).
I've done a few google searches, and on this thread, but couldn't find any resolution, besides rooting.
Any suggestions?
I was able to drop in the AOSP calendar from the CM7 repo into /system/app and remove TWCalendar.apk. There was a display glitch, a number 0 obscured the top left corner but it did not effect functionality.
FWIW, I was also using the AOSP email app.
Thanks for the response,
Maybe I'd be considered slow to most other people, but I'm only a month into my first smart phone and still not quite ready to play "Operation" with its innards...
I did, however, download the Business Calendar (Free), my third calendar app attempt, and whaddya know, it shows my calendar the way it should, including overnight activities(!).
I don't know what it does that the stock app can't, and I certainly don't like its look and that I can't change it (prefer the stock look, actually), but it works for now, until I figure something else out...

Does Android Pro Widgets agenda show event colors?

I've been using APW's agenda widget since it lets me set how many days of events to fetch. Today I was playing around with it and noticed colors for events were no longer showing on the left side, but I could've sworn it used to. I can't find an option to control this. Is it supposed to have this feature? Ideally I'd like something that looks like the stock widget but that shows more than 7 days out, but most third-party widgets don't look too good.
This got fixed today.

Where at? I don't see any updates since April.
I don't see the update either
hmm.. so, what's that update he's talking about?
The issue is a bug in Jelly Bean http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=34944
The workaround suggested by Google will be included in next update (I will have time to work on APW during next month so expect the update to be released then).

Awesome, nice to hear an explanation (from you and from Google). Thanks for working on a fix.
The fix is in...thanks again! Oddly enough, the colors on my JB GNex seem to be lighter shades than those on my ICS Nook, not sure why that is.
Updated today, issue resolved. I get calendar colours now Yippee

Zooper Widgets freeze

Hello there,
since 01.11.15 my widgets with 2.58 update no longer.
Only when I start Zooper and immediately terminating be updated widgets.
The same problem I had exactly one year ago also. After Update from 2.56 to 2.58 it worked again.
Since I can reproduce on 3 phones and other Internet users have the problem too, I think that a temporal barrier is installed.
Unfortunately, there seems to be no more updates. So a stillbirth?
I hope that someone here is so smart and the other to help me in the long run.

How to Disable One UI 3.0 Update Notification

Hi, I recently had to revert back to One UI 2.5 because I experienced a couple bugs that I can't live with. As expected, Samsung has been bugging me to update OS on daily basis, and I have about 10 days left before they're forcing the update onto me.
I read somewhere that I can use ADB app control to disable this notification. I installed it from here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/tool-adb-appcontrol-v1-5-0.4147837/
However, I can't figure out which one to disable. Could anybody please point me to the right direction? thanks!!
