Is there any way to change the default behavior of the add button in Sense? Or is that baked into the ROM? I would like it to open Gesture Search instead. I don't mind getting my hands dirty if I need to.

Is it possible to add a full size menu button much like the search button was added. I tried ICS on an older phone and the menu button seemed to work in even the native apps. I hate the look of the dot one that comes up in stock ics and with the mod to make it appear all the time. Ideal for me would be to make the button layout identical to my droid incredible. So home, menu, back, and search. Hold home down for the app switch. Hold menu for keyboard. Hold search for voice search. This has to be possible somehow since its all software keys now.
I don't know if this is part of my ROM or not (blackbean) but considering it got locked and I don't feel like registering for another site right now I'll throw it out here first.
A long press on the home button brings up a hemisphere with a single shortcut to go to google now. How can I add shortcuts to that? Blackbean has an option to add to the lockscreen version, but it doesn't effect the home button.
In CNA you can change those shortcuts http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1839233
Thanks, but I'm not looking to change roms.
Anyone know how to disable it at least? I use a long press on the home button to toggle ScreenFilter. It would be great to add that and an AudioManager profile next to the Google Now shortcut.
Specifically, I want to change the recent apps key back to recent apps, instead of menu. I prefer the original layout over the Samsung/Legacy style pretty much every dev uses. It's too awkward for my liking, the recent apps button is being wasted as a rarely used menu key, and long pressing home for a feature I use more than pressing home is cumbersome. I don't really mind if I can't remap menu anywhere, as that'll be covered by the hidden PIE menu anyway.
And no, the solution for me isn't to switch to CM10. I have no plans to stop using Paranoid Android anytime soon.
Thanks for your help.
If you want to stick to PA I'm not sure how you can do that. But if you don't mind changing to ICJ, you can remap the capacitive keys. And you won't lose pie either as pie navigation is also included in ICJ.
Ok so im trying to do something with mi launcher it might require apk deconpile im not sure but i want to re assign a key function.
theres something called one key clear (aka the task manager/switcher) just like in miui when you long press the home button. well this feature can also be usable one GB roms thanks to Mi launcher but the only thing is that you only can apply this action to the swipe down on home screen. i want to disable the built in GB task switcher and assign the mi launcher one click clear to the home button long click.
also as a bonus i would like to enable blur on this launcher like when opening folders.
Can anyone confirm if there's a way to swap between the Back & Recents keys?
Do they change when using a RTL language?
I presume it will be a problem, now that they're capacitive.
In software it can be done, I know on most custom roms the tweak apps let you assign whatever action you want for like single press, double tap, long press. As far as in the HTC settings I would assume not. Only downside to doing that is the picture of the button wont change. You could always disable them and use on screen buttons but you will loose part of the screen.
