Screen lock that prevents device power off. - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

I've got a Verizon TouchPro2 that I currently carry in a leather holster. Ideally I'd like a plastic bracket, but because I have an extended battery from Siedio my phone won't fit in one.
Anyway, the problem with the leather holster is that depending on how I'm sitting I can accidentally press buttons. No biggie, that's what a lock screen is for... that that works very well, expect that I haven't found one that prevents holding down the power button to completely turn off the device. Every once in a while I'll pull out of my phone to find it's completely off! Not a good thing. I've using S2U2 right now, and I know there's an option to block long press on HTC phones to power off. But no matter if I have this option on or off, I can still power off the phone with a long press on the button.
Any help?

I used to use TouchLockPro. I never had any problems like that before. Setting it up the way you want, in my experience, is a little confusing, but if you PM me, I'll be willing to help as much as possible.

Volume Button broke on 3 week old tilt2!?

So i go my device about 3 weeks ago. last night i noticed the volume down button wasn't working, so i took off the battery cover and this is what i've found.
Theres a plastic piece that goes over the button and looks like the one for volume down as slid into the device, the volume up & PTT button's plastic cover looks to be going loose as well.. :/
I know i can take it into the device support center but they'll probably give me a refurbished device which i dont want. I payed for a new device, its fairly new and i should get a new device!
Anyone else experienced this?
ouch. it looks like your other buttons are a little broken too. how hard are you pressing those? ive had my tilt 2 for a month and a half and the buttons are still perfectly aligned and feel brand new.
Looking at my case and the vol/ptt buttons inside it doesn't even look like it'd be possible to push hard enough on the outside to cause that. However all three buttons do have the same internal plastic piece which is probably why the other buttons are going.
If you're under 30 days can't you return the device? I thought AT&T had a 30 day return period.
My volume buttons didn't break off like yours, but they did lose tactile feedback after a while. That is, when I press it, it doesn't click and bounce back as strong as before. They felt dull when I press them.
So what I did was put layers of scotch tape against the inside of the back cover where it would come in contact with the volume buttons. (Not sure if I explained it properly). Now my buttons work beautifully again.
If others are having this problem, please let me know. I can post some pics so that you can try.

I'm having that with mine right now actually, just started noticing it in the past week. I'll give your trick a shot, thanks!
so i got pretty drunk last night (almost like every night but thats a different story ) and i remember dropping my phone on the pavement. And just now i noticed the volume down button has fixed itself from the drop! haha
i tried manually moving the cover piece back over the button when it first broke and that didn't help. so i guess the solution is to drop your phone!

[Q] Waterproof Armband

I am training for a marathon and sweat a lot. Is there a good armband that will fit the phone tightly but is waterproof? I don't want the sweat to damage the phone.
Also, if you have any suggestions for the best phone setting for running, let me know. I don't want to keep the screen on all the time, yet I don't want it to be too tough to turn it on every time either. I don't know how easy it is to push the power button inside an armband while running. I have already installed myLock so that it automatically unlocks when I press the power button. It would be nice to have a setting/app that could wake up the phone by tapping on the screen or the soft buttons.
I found some options that may work for you while looking for waterproof camera cases earlier today. Assuming it fits, you can operate the capacitive touchscreen through the plastic membrane. [Actually, you can operate the screen quite well through a Zip-lock bag. ] Pressing the power button may be tricky, but I'm guessing you could use the call/hangup button on a wired headset or bluetooth of course.
Overboard Case w/Armband $64
You'll need to double-check the size. There were less expensive variants without the waterproof headphones.
As for skipping the keyguard lock screen, I use a Tasker profile to disable it while driving / at home / etc. If Tasker seems too complicated, Locale is its more user-friendly but less powerful predecessor.
Hopefully this helps.

sena ultraslim pouch - PROBLEM

ok bad news re the sena case ... hope no one else here actually put an order in, if yr about too ..cancel it.
the pouch is really nice, super slim ...but ...too tight fitting. basically the phone keeps restarting the moment you put it inside.
with the power button now on the side ..and the fact a long hold of that button results in a restart, even with a screen lock in place .... ouch. battery would be dead in a couple hours no doubt.
is there a way to maybe change that long press behavior of the phone? either way though i don't like the idea of the button being constantly pressed ...
ahhh ... ok maybe i was a bit quick to pull the trigger there.
after a good amount of roughing up ...it seems to be ok. but sheesh. this pouch is like a 2nd skin. very figure hugging. stuff all impact protection here but good screen protector, and looks mint.
just hope gen use doesn't see me waking the screen alot.

Did you read the little piece of instructions they put inside? EVERY Sena case comes with a little paper inside the shipping package that says "Due to the nature of leather, it will be very very tight the first few days. Don't worry, this is normal and the leather will naturally expand to fit the phone"

mine clicks so maybe yours have a little issue
I have been pressing it often to get into boot loader so I assume I just crushed whatever clicks since the button works

Is it in a case? My down volume didn't work, and I couldn't figure out why. I took it out of the case to find my sh*t was bent like an iPhone! AFTER 4 1/2 MONTHS!!!
The best thing is, that Advantage Program that is super cool is only available in the USA.
Thanks Obama!

Just out of interest, what kind of case was yours in? I had mine in the Spigen crystal clear gel case since pretty much day one and I've just had my phone replaced (6 month old) after sending it in with a dodge and bent volume down button.
Have ordered a new case in case it was that but I guess the volume rocker must be a pretty thin strip of ali?

Question Power button is too sensitive

I'm finding that my phone will wake if I barely touch the power button.
If this happens while my phone is in my pocket, the screen is so sensitive too, that my pocket lining will unlock the screen and then start pressing buttons and turning off alarms or doing other odd stuff.
I do have "pocket mode" enabled. Any suggestions on how to prevent accidental unlocking?
I'm using the Spigen Rugged Armor case right now, which does cover the power button. Have a Trudia DualShield case on the way and hopefully that makes the power button less sensitive.
Turn display away from your body.
If the power button is defective, replace as an unexpected failure will prove very inconvenient.

Then you should put on a case which will prevent from switching on the power button.
Hi! I faced the exact same issue for some reason. I initially thought it was my case because I removed and placed my phone in it a couple of times. Was super annoying. I ended up removing my case and flashed Oxygen OS on my phone (coming from Evolution X). Faced the same thing on Oxygen OS as well initially, but later it settled after a while. Safe to say the issue resolved itself on its own, and I haven't faced it again.
Had problem with sensitive power button. Almost every time I was putting my phone to sleep it went double press and opened the camera.
Had this on stock kernel, Omega, but with arter's the issue is gone.
Maybe the app Double Tap would be helpful...
blow it out with air. i think it's because everything it so "tight" because of the waterproofing, but mine constantly opens the camera when i press unlock until i blow it out

I be careful with that. Using high pressure air inappropriately can have unforeseen consequences...
ask the victims of shop pranks
I went from CRDroid back to stock ROM and have not had the issue one single time over the last two-three weeks on stock ROM (with arter kernel).
Could be coincidence.
Or could be that custom ROM does not have finely tuned pocket sensors?
