Has anyone got any metamorph themes for Galaxy S? Im looking for vanilla android specifically as I dont like the Samsung blue eveywhere.
I dont think you can mm to get vanila unless its a vanila theme kind of

K the lack of themes don't make a difference because there are plently of hdpi devices out there with massive amounts of themes (eg Nexus). Just get a nexus theme, use a script like theme-porter and BAM u have tht theme on ur phone. I've been doing tht since i got this phone and have not been disappointed. Im running elegant steel as we speak.

Could you elaborate a little more? The theme porter I was using (Universal Theme Porter Beta 1.5.1.0 [Created by: TheDeathly & Philly0494]) didn't seem to work, it got about halfway through the process and then errored out. I'd love to get the Elegant Steel theme on my Captivate somehow.

Sorry Im a bit of a noob at this, but I've been wanting to apply the BuuF theme to my galaxy s. I know there is an ADW version of it but I want the full theme with status bar, notification bar etc to be replaced as well.

It seems this theme can be applied to a few different ROMs and phones, but none that I know are available for this phone.
Just wondering can you only apply themes that have been built specifically for the phone / mod specified? I was reading up on this app called Metamorph which sounds like the app to do it, but sounds risky.

i didnt check if it was suited for galaxy S but i am pretty sure it is.. but..
u have to root your phone and since u state it yourself that u are a noob i suggest u better read in first on how to do that .

hey... this theme is created around oct 2009.. when samsung galaxy was yet to born.. and in that theme the menu style looks old style when u needed to drag the arrow to the top to open the menu... i am afraid this theme is not for samsung galaxy s..
and the procedure to apply the theme also doesn't looks like its for galaxy s.
anyways ... if you feel like giving it a try .. its totally your call

hehe yeah i had a feeling as such. thanks for the advice mate if I get any luck putting it successfuly on the galaxy s, I'll share it with everyone. perhaps I'll only use some of the theme and skip all the parts that dont fit with the style of this phone.

As far as i understand, it's only a theme and not the 2.3 OS itself. YOu can find loads of zip roms around through which you can have gingerbread theme.
i know it's not the os itself, but all of the gb themes for defy are somewhat incomplete, can someone make a "full" one?

It would indeed, hoping someone can port it for us all. Have tried another of the Honeycomb styled themes in these forums but found them too overpowering on the blue colour for my liking.
Did you try to just install it? Seems like it has same naming for the graphics as SGS2 themes.
Try to make a back up first though.

I'll do a Nandroid and give it a try. Wouldn't think it'd work though due to it being based on HTC framework and SystemUI, can see this leading to a bootloop.
Yeah I suppose it will. You can port it yourself though, just download stock samsung theme, and this honeycomp and replace all images with same naming on framework-res and systemui. I suppose that would work.
That may be a better option. I'll give that a try later on and see what happens, cheers.
Ok, swapping the PNG's was a no-go - CWM kept telling me there was an error in the zip and refused to flash it :/

this theme is like the @sam´s rom? u can do your own theme based on honecomb doing it with UOT KITCHEN, if u need to deodex first make it with dsixdas kitchen,,, actually its easy to do no command lines, no scripts... only mouse clicks! lol..
if u need some honeycomb icons use....mmm photoshop or similar,,,
