Volume Control On Internet Video Streams - Desire General

I have a problem on my Desire, when viewing video streams or listening to podcasts from the BBC etc... their preset volume is set to low and I am unable to move the slide control for increased volume.
The phones volume is set at maximum btw.

Yes, I'm using it with my O2 XDA II.
Sound quality is fantastic especially when you're using another player like GSPlayer which allows you to adjust the effects such as 3D, surround, bass, echo, reverb, equalizer etc etc
Search for other threads here and you'll see other comments
Thanks FOSA for your reply
I will search and see what i can find.
If you are useing your to listern to music, and the phone rings can you easly answer the phone useing the headphones, than after the call return to listning to the music

Hi!
Yes, you can.
However, depending on which software player you're using the music may not resume from the last location after you end the call ie. the music could be continuously playing in the background while you're talking.
So, if you want to resume the music from its last location after ending your call look for music player that supports this feature. I think MortPlayer supports this.

Fast (accelerated) playback on ringtones?

I did a search, but I couldn't find anything.
I recently put a few .mp3 ringtones on my memory card and assigned them to various contacts. However, when they play, they seem to be playing at 110% speed rather than 100%. They are slightly faster than normal playing speed.
Is anyone else having this problem?
I have the Core Media player installed and I know that you can *slow down* the speed at which music files play. However, I cannot adjust the speed when they are assigned to ringtones and/or when they are playing in WMP.
Oddly enough, when I play the songs using WMP through my bluetooth device, they sound just fine. They only sound bad when playing on the Dash through the speaker.
Ideas?

[Q] Help with Bluetooth streaming

I have searched for the past two nights but cant seem to find any answers. I have a Droid Incredible running CM7 7.1.0 . Everything I find says that the bitpool setting for streaming Bluetooth audio has been improved with cm7 and that streaming quality should be good. I don't find this to be true with my FLAC files, but with low quality MP3 192 for example seem to stream correctly. Do I need to reduce the quality of all my music for it to sound remotely good? Is there a fix for this or am I stuck in this situation? I am using power amp but have tried the stock music player to trouble shoot but have the same results. I have tried the eq set to flat and off in power amp, and have double checked DSP manager to make sure all settings are off. I am streaming music from my Incredible to a dice mediabridge in my car. I really like my high quality music and need a solution, the highs are far to harsh and the bass very weak. Could someone help.
Thanks Jason

So low volume on MKV video files! Suggestions?!

You guys are also experiencing this? Is that an issue with the default player?
I use MXPlayer, you can boost the volume up to 200%

Quiet Audio from MX Video Player? Volume Boost?

Hello,
I've been using MX Player to play some previously encoded videos from Handbrake. The issue I'm having is that the audio is a bit too quiet to comfortable listen to using earphones or the device speakers.
I've adjusted the gain in Handbrake and performed some tests but the problem is to achieve a loud enough volume the Audio track from the video becomes slightly distorted in places which is extremely unpleasant.
Is there a way to adjust the N7's maximum volume or maybe a separate app/settings that may boost the output volume?
I've left my handbrake settings at Gain +5 but I'd still like the volume a little louder if possible. I have also checked that once ading gain to the video encode it was definitely the audio track that was distorted rather than the N7's output being pushed too far. I used the same video files on other playback methods and the distortion was still present.
Thanks
Volume 16-30 in MX Player should be a boost. If you're using 30 volume in MX Player and it's very quiet there must be something wrong with the handbrake settings(?)

Is Settings, Audio, Volume Boost enabled?

I also think you have to use HW+ decoding to get the volume boost capability.

Get the Noozxoid custom codec somewhere in this forum. Great tone and volume, especially when you plug it aux or earphones!
