I problem i have with my new desire is that after reboot all my text messages are gone.
Does anyone else encounter this problem???
This happens to me, but after leaving it open for a few seconds they all reload. Check in your settings if you have auto-retrieve messages on
I have auto retrieve on but it is mms setting

I am using Handcent SMS app
The problem is when I send a message it continues to show sending even though the message has been received by other recipient.
It has a circle which keeps going round and round. I have rebooted my phone twice and it still is like that.
I can't figure out what's wrong any help would be appreciated.
Even in the normal Arc messaging app it showing sending and it stays there.
Thanks in Advance
Uninstall handcent and wipe data etc for stock messaging then install handcent again.
See if that helps.

Tried un-installing and then re-installing still didn't work (N)
I have this issue with just one contact I kept texting..when I send a text message it converts it to an MMS or an audio message..I have no idea why this is happening..I tried deleting the contact and adding them countless times and nothing..i rebooted and nothing..every other contact I text is normal..i even cleared the data and froze it to see if that helped and nada..any ideas as to why this is happening? It's with the stock messaging app..and yes Im rooted but never had this issue until now..

A large text message I think over 160 characters automatically turns into a mms message.. Try going into message app setting and changing the creation mms setting?

Set the creation mode to restricted and it still changes ever SMS to MMS for just that one contact guess I'll just fully wipe and factory rest and re flash to see if that helps
This is one of the most weird problems I have seen in HTC ONE V.
Whenever I restart my phone, the phone randomly sends a few msgs that I had sent earlier. Its so annoying coz it kind of floods the recipients inbox and then I have to send a sorry message after that.
Is anyone else facing this issue?
I am also facing the same issue, i think automatically resends undelivered messages on restart.. check messages after restart, you'll be able to see whom it was sent on restart..

Been having this problem since the Jellybean OTA - If I attempt to text a photo to someone, either from a webpage or my gallery, it sticks on "sending" and never goes through. On one occassion, I just left it and about 8 hours later, it sent. I understand I can't do it on wifi, but even if I turn off wifi, delete, and send it again, it just sticks on sending. Having this problem with either Handscent or the stock texting app - both will do it.
Anyone know a fix to this?
Try updating your prl and profile. Also make sure you have 3g (data) turned on. And turn off auto-retrieve in message settings (this just helps with receiving mms messages - then you download the picture manually.)

My note 4 sometimes sends duplicate SMS messages to various people. On my SMS logs it only shows 1 message sent but the receiving phone gets 2 messages sent to it. I use the stock messaging app and have hangouts disabled. This only happens maybe once a week and only for a few minutes before it corrects itself without a reboot or closing messaging app in recent apps. Anyone else experiencing this or have a solution?
