MMS Problem SOLVED for Virgin uk - Desire General

Hello,
I too had the MMS problems of not being able to send MMS at all, kept getting "Generic network error",
But fixed it rather simply, in the APN section on the desire, i simple deleted the USERNAME, left it blank, immediatly my MMS messages started sending and are AOK now.....
BUT: only worked when WiFi was off ......
Hopefully this will help everyone else out too..
I know their is another thread describing these problems, but i thought this is Virgin specific fix not t-mobile and hopefully this is the fix, but hay it may work for you tmobile guys idk.

thaaaaaaaanksssss
its working now on my desire too ...meteor ireland...thankssssss

What settings do you have for meteor.
Still have to get my Hero to work.

[Q] MMS problem with gingerbread ROM´s

hey guys!
when i flash a gingerbread based ROM (i have tried different gingerbread roms), i can´t receive MMS, when my mobile network is disabled. it works well on any older version.
i was searching for a solution, but the only answer i could find was "check your apn´s", but i´m sure they ain´t wrong.
have anybody an idea?
cheers!
Hi there,
If your mobile network is disabled you won't be able to send MMS as the service uses mobile data to send/receive. GPRS, EDGE or 3G is necessary to send receive MMS.
Most ROM's auto-enable the APN for MMS when the mobile network is off some don't, it may be something to feedback to the Dev?
Hope this helps.
sure, you need any service to send or receive... but i don´t have a flatrate (from my provider) for mobile network but i have one for send and receive mms. (i dont know how they differentiate between the connection for send/receive mms and ne mobile network, but they do..) so i have always disabled my mobile network (i have set a worng apn server number at my apn list. but the secound apn for mms is correct and it have worked with the stock rom, revolution hd 3.xx or CM6...) but it dont work at revolution hd4 or cm7, so i think its some problem in conjunction with gingerbread...
thanks
I'm having the same issue at the moment on my Desire HD with Android Revolution HD 4.0 beta installed. Quite sure my APNs are all correct. Any help would be appreciated as I currently can't receive MMS.
Cheers
I can confirm I'm able to send MMS, however receiving is the issue.
Edit: Was going to attempt to post the issue in the development thread as a possible issue/bug, however due to lack of posts I don't have access. If someone could do so that would be brilliant.
some good news about that problem? i would like to use gingerbread, but not without using mms.. :-/

Anyone with Rogers have their MMS not working?
Mine just says sending but never goes through.

Any rogers users here report their APN info please and thanks.

[Q] Has there been a solution for the MMS issues? AT&T Unlocked on T-Mobile

I have spent hours searching online and XDA reading posts with no luck. I wanted to see if there has been a solution to this ongoing issue that I overlooked. Not having MMS is a huge deal breaker for me, unfortunately if I can't get it to work I'll be going back to my Nexus 5. I was wondering if anyone has MMS working for T-Mobile? If there was a solution? It has not worked for me in any of the listed messaging apps...
Some things I've tried:
Played around with T-Mobile APN settings (from T-Mobile site and user recommended here at XDA)
Tried Textra app, HTC messaging app, Hangouts
Turned off WiFi
Things I have not tried:
Turning off WiFi calling (AT&T unlocked version doesn't have it)
Flashed any ROMs
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
S-off and switch to a T-mobile branded version of the operating system?
Still might not work flawlessly, as T-mobile and AT&T use different bands for some things, but it might be worth a shot.
Same problem here. Can receive texts...not send them....
Search how to Flash t-mobile RUU and you will have wi-fi calling plus working mms and all radios.
