hi! i am just wondering if somone can coock up a rom that enabels wifi tether and the htc sense ui, like a Cyanogen mod with sense.

I think there are only two stock rooted 2.2 ROMs, one odexed and one deodexed.

AFAIK, there is no working native tethering, since that's part of the AOSP and not Sense. You have to use the market app, v2.0.5-pre7, or wait for a stock AOSP ROM to be released.
2 questions.....
1 what is oxidized vs deoxidized?
2 what is ASOP?
I just stick with cyanogen. But my wife loves sense.
I'm guessing your Evo spell-checked "odexed" to "oxidized."
Basically, a deodexed ROM has the app files (apks) rebuilt so they're not pre-cached in a separate place, which makes it easier to tweak/theme some apps and such. It's not a huge thing, you'd know if you needed it.
AOSP = Android Open Source Project. This is just the Android OS before HTC gets it and Sense's the crap out of it. If you don't have Sense, you have AOSP. CM6 is AOSP.
But don't get me wrong, I use Sense ROMs because . . . well, because I'm used to them and there's really only one non-Sense choice out there. I'm too used to the HTC widgets to switch for now.f

I love CM6 I update it every night. Even when I had sense I used ADW. So CM6 is perfect for me. My wife however is not as tollerant as I am. She needs sense and she needs WiFi. I want to get her on froyo but she must have WiFi.

I would try Damage Control 3.5 it lets you have sense, you can use the Netarchy kernel and can wifi tether. it is also froyo.
Hey XDA, is data2ext available for any other rom BESIDES Cyanogenmod7? because i want CR MOD 2.13.531.1 OTA ROM or some other Froyo/Sense rom, CR-MOD destroys memory and other roms like ChaCha Slide rom dnt have data2ext so i can run big games (not that i kno of), so is ther an answer to my problem, please help me!
The 3rdSense rom has built-in data2ext and it's running Froyo Sense. You can give that a try.
The salsa rom has built-in app2sd, which gives a lost more free space, and sense 3.0. Pretty stable but missing wifi hotspot and bt, I believe

actually, it has Sense 2.1 with Sense 3.0 lockscreen. data2ext definitely gets you more free space than app2sd, but i think the devs will crank out a version with data2ext.

3rd Sense had data2ext thank you all so much , i was able to run my sims 3 an i am enjoyin myself with no complications !! wish the real Sense 3.0 (like on the sensation) was possible for our phone, becuz that would be awesome!
It can be, if somebody out there's willing to resize everything to our phone's resolution XD but still, no guarantees.
I'd prefer a Sense ROM because I want tv out and Verizon mobile hotspot, and others I've tried don't have one or the other or neither. Maybe this is impossible. If so, anyone know a cool 3D ROM with both tv out and Verizon mobile hotspot. I've tried some awsome ROMs but they lack these things. Using Inc Ultimate, which is nice but a more dynamic experience would be nice.
I haven't used sense in a long time, but Athena by ihtfp69 was sense based so it had tv out. It also ran launcher2 so it had landscape homescreens. And it's hard to find a bug in anything by ihtfp. No 3d though
Edit: I'm not sure about Verizon hot spot, but beings it's sense based I'm sure it's possible.
Skyraider 4.3 by the same dev above. It is android 2.2 as well but full sense with a lot of features. I don't have a link though but it is way back on xda. I don't know if the recent stock based ROMs have landscape home screen. I know its not built into sense 1 by default.

Look for roms based off of the EVO Shift rom. MikG, Pure Speed, Optimized shift etc... hey all should have landscape if I remember correctly.

Currently Im using CyanogenMod 10.1 JB 4.2.2.. I love the speed it has. But i really miss the looks & the way our original Sense Messanging application. I wish to use it here in CM10.1
