Hey there, I've been looking around recently for a good app for voice recognition. I've come up with three and I wanted to have some other people's input on which has been the most successful for them.
The three I have seen mentioned a lot are 1) TellMe 2) The Cyberon voice commander 3) Microsoft voice command.
Thanks in advance.

MS Voice command ships with the US T-Mobile. I find that it works very well, although the voice is very "Computer generated". But understandable.

I suppose you know MS VoiceCommand is shipped with the Tilt2. You can try it out for $0.

Greetings all,
I've spent the last 18 hours searching and reading all of the Hermes (and other) forums for the link to the Cyberon Voice Dialer cab referenced in JJ's initial post for Black 2.0.
I would like to add it to my most excellent Black 2.0 ROM that appears to be working very quickly and flawlessly. Is it possible someone could point me in the proper direction?

Why would it? It's not a Hermes. The 6700 is an Apache. You're in the wrong forums, sparky.

You really don't want to install this thing... it is 100% P.O.S.!!! I wish there were a way I could permanent remove it from ROM, never to have it come back...

Hi fellows,
First-of-all appologies if I am asking this question again.
I have recently upgraded the OS in my Orbit and now its WM-2006 from O2, I have clearly remember that I have used ""Voice activation"" or ""Voice Tag"" software to link my few contacts to voices, on that day once I was tagging the contacts in that same software there was also the option to voice tag the software or commands to setup, and just for trial I have tagged TomTom to run through the voice command. Since after couple of days I am trying to search that facility but no-way I can find that software. That voice Tagging software is completely gone missing.
Can anyone help, I dont wanna install third party software for voice tagging.
Sid
The Dopod SEA Rom doesn't feature the Cyberon voice dialler software, which I personally hate anyway - Microsoft Voice Command (v1.6) is SO much better, though I do realise you said you don't want 3rd party apps.
I know that the official O2 WM6 ROM does have what you're after, but that's OS v3.4 compared to the Dopod which is v3.7, if that bothers you...

It works perfectly. After installation you only have the speelddial settings icon added in your settings menu. You have to manually make a shortcut to the activate file: \windows\sddialer.exe.
Thats all!
Thanks for the replies, anyway I found the software came by default in 2006, basically this software seems like to works with all the option only once (first time) when there is no Voice trained for anything, and later-on if you want to add another voice command for any other APPLICATION then it doesn't start in that specific mode (or may be I couldn't figure-out), This software is from a company called ""Cyberon"" ( http://www.cyberon.com.tw/speeddial.htm ), Attached picture tabbed screen doesn't appear again after you tag 1st voice command (doesn't matter for contacts or application).
I have also tried Microsoft Voice Command software but according to their reputation I personally feel that that software is the most crapiest software for voice recognition.
So according to my experiment use the default software, write a list of your daily use software and then voice tag them on the first time, otherwise you have to delete all the voice tags including contacts, or may be you have to hard-rest your Orbit to tag your softwares. e.g TomTom
Thanks
Sid

1st time u can use the normal activation tag (sddialer.exe). If nothing is stored (1st time) u can add contacts of software. If u want 2 add anything later, u go 2 setttings and then personal, there u can find a icon to the screen you want.
I am sorry Twiggerdingo what are you trying to explain, couldn't get it. 2nd of all the link you have given is not working at all

sorry my english isnt that good, not my native language. I wil try again.
install the cab.
Then you look ok the ppc "start, settings, personal", you will see a icon named Voice Speed dial. The you can set your contacts and voicecommand.
To execute voice speed dial, you have to make a shortcut to the file sddialer.exe. This file is in the \windows directory on your ppc.
Cant be more specific!
File is uploaded again, try the link now (be4 its gone again).
I've been using the HTC WM6 WWE ROM for a month or so now ... I miss of couple of things from the Dash WM6 ROM.
I like the T-Mobile theme, not a big fan of the green home screen with black letters, any way to get the T-Mo theme on the HTC ROM and completely get rid of the green, even on the call screen?
Can someone suggest what to Google to find Voice Command with out shelling out 40 bucks? I love having my BT headset in and having the voice command read out new messages as they arrive.
Any major differences between the HTC WWE ROM and the HTC German ROM?

This forum has a useful search feature, give it a try -- you'll find your questions have previously been asked, and answered, at least once.

Thanks... I'm not a new-be member, I know the forum has search feature. I was not able to find the exact answers I'm looking for. I didn't just join and post. Regardless... I thank all for your help.
Keep searching -- you'll find what you're looking for. Amazing how few topics in this forum contain the word 'green'...

If you liked the HTC ROM, I think you would really like the Rodgers ROM ... except for the item noted.
If I could find a ROM based on Rodgers, that included Voice Command from the default T-Mobile WM6 ROM, that would be SWEET.

Do you think that you can share the Christmas mail? I've downloaded Rogers WM6 and I sure missed the voice command too and have been searching thru the 'net for an upgraded voice command - only for WM5 but not WM6.

If you are looking for the same behavior from Voice Command that you experienced with a T-Mobile branded Dash and the T-Mobile WM6 upgrade, then I think you are going to be disappointed.
With the T-Mobile WM6 upgrade, which included Voice Command, I would get call, meeting, message, email and other announcements via the BT headset. With the Rodgers ROM and standard Voice Command, I have not been able to get much of that functionality enabled. It is frustrating, because we are talking about the same hardware, and presumably the same software (WM6 & Voice Command 1.6, but the behavior I am experiencing is different.
One thing particularly interesting is that somewhere out there on the internets, I read a post where somebody did a quick comparison of the (Voice Command) files included with the T-Mobile WM6 upgrade and the (Voice Command) files installed in the 1.6 distributable and the files were different.
I may look into this, but I am not inclined to do too much reverse-engineering of stuffs like this.
well see
Anyone know if that is possible. I don't know how anyone can get the msvc to dial correctly. I have about 1,000 contacts and that seems to choke msvc. The cyberon voice dial works 99.9%. However, I do like the announcements with msvc. I know Kavana's rom lets you choose one or the other, but I'd like to use both. Any help? Any .cab for cyberon?
Thanks
