i have i mate jamin and its charge is empty then when i went to charge it >> strange thing happened it always charges for 4 hours but left it for 12 hours and it does not charge !!!!!!!!!!!!

I think your battery is deed. How long did you left it uncharged? You may try to do trick with directly connecting the battery to some ac adapter pin 1 + pin 6 - (the upper pin near camera is the pin 1). Use about 4 - 6 V on battery from ac adapter for about 15 - 25 sec (warning do not hold it to long like that coz it may make battery explode). Try that few times. After that put the battery back in the phone and try to charge it now. I hope this helps.

try to charge the battery in a separate charger
hope this will help

Charge time?

How long does it take for your phone to jump the 10% marks (i.e., 40 -> 50, etc.)? Mine seems to charge very fast which I feel may be related to the bad battery life.
again ...why new thread? u open like 5-10 threads each day
no need to open a new thread for each question u have, u could have easily asked this in a thread that u also started today "How fast do you drop to 90%?" or any other battery related thread
and to answer your question, yes it charges fast ..maybe 10-15minutes
and I doubt its related to your bad battery life
Sorry man, but I have to echo the sentiment......less threads...your starting to clutter. Create One thread for all of your issues.
i didn't caculate the between each 10% ,but i could charging my battery fully in 2.5 to 3 hours from 5% may be it could help you
From 0 to 100 takes about an hour I think for me.
I always charge from pc usb port (have 3 brand new unused usb chargers now ). It takes around 3 hours to charge from 10% to 100%.
Hi it may sound weird but my defy seems to last longer charged from a wall socket rather than via my pc usb cable
and a full charge is maybe 1 hour

Finally I tried the charger. It's much faster, took just a little more than 1 hour to charge from 15% to 100%.
Mine takes 2.5 to 3 hours to reload in the socket. Seems kinda long.
I don't turn it off, but a do have a htc changer instead of the defeault.
Don't ask me why.

[BATT] How long does it take yours to charge?

It takes mine ages. I can leave it plugged in for hours and it only charges a bit. Right now Battery Monitor widget estimates 8 hours on "AC" and 12 hours on "USB" for a 100% charge - 3/4 hours from 64%. That's slow, no?
I only get +2-400mA (341mA right now, sometimes less, or more) when plugged into my 5v-1A AC charger. How about you guys?
Any one else got charge times from a program like Battery Monitor Widget?
Takes about 4 hours from 1% to 100%
my HOX is charging.. i plug it at 9% 1 hour and 40 minute ago.. its 71% now..

That's very very slow. Check your cables, are they frayed? Cos I'm currently using the cable that came with my Desire Z and it's starting to fray pretty bad, and I'm only getting about 300-400mAh charge in. Used to charge at around 750+. I switched USB Cables (same charger, just different cables) and my charge rate jumped back to 750. Do note that charge rate slows down the closer it gets to 100%.
Mine took almost 3hrs for 0 to 100% charge.
3-4 hours from 5% to 100%
On the USB in college I get 20% is 2 hours lol on charger about 3 hours.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
That's weird then. Maybe I should buy a new cable. Do most of you get 700mA+ readings when charging?
The cable is very new, but I did get it from a shady seller - maybe it has a problem. I will get a new USB cable this evening.
It COULD be the problem? That's only from my own testing though. Try it with a friend's cable or something. Nokia and Samsung phones use the same Micro USB to charge.
Mine will go from 2% to 100% in 3 hour 5 min with an USB charger of 1.5A output.

Unfortunately the HOX is limited to a 1A input charge /:
i'm at my wits end, i bought an HTC one X today, and plugged it to the charger cos it was 7% of energy, it's been off for 3 hours and i turn it on and it says 8%, i'm using the cable and the charger that came with the cellphone, what could i do?, i even got a message while running the setup procedure that the phone consumes more energy than what it receives via AC, what to do? i'm worried

You've got a misbehaving app somewhere. Restart your phone and try again.
with the original charger and cable, it takes me roughly 3 hrs to fully charge my one X from 10%~ to 100%
with the cheap cable I bought and the Iphone charger, it takes me 4 hrs to charge from 9% to 90% ~ about 5 hrs to fully charge ~
I don't use my laptop's usb to charge, and I believe it will take much longer ~
With the official HTC cable that came in the box its taken me 3 hours to charge about 40%. Please someone tell me this is faulty.
Also the battery has never lasted more than 2hours 20 mins on screen with medium/heavy usage. and no more than 1 hour 30 with heavy usage (HD Video/streaming)
ALso when i unplug the charger at 100% it drops down to 90% within 10 minutes and then continues to plummet. I got around 6hours off screen time with music playing before it died.
Anyone have this issue?

The same thing happened to me today. I've noticed charging from a computer's USB gives a higher charge amperage.
I just ordered a 2A USB charger, but I also found that if I power off the phone and charge it, it charges very quickly.

That sounds like a serious problem. I would send it back. Although, you should poke around and see what's consuming all the energy.
Charging times without looking at the battery monitoring application reporting where energy is spent does not help much to understand where the problem is.
If the phone is really idle with good GSM coverage, no particular GSM activity and Wifi switched off, then more than 2 or 3 hours either shows that the charger isn't powerful enough (could happen with a car cigarette-lighter->USB charger or any charger that delivers less than 1A/H), or a faulty charger or battery.
If one has good charging times when the phone is switched off, then the problem is more likely related to the software running in the phone, fiddling with the phone while it's charging (keeping the screen on) or because of RF activity (GSM, Wifi).
So first switch the phone off, charge it at 100%, look at the time it took and if it's okay then look at the battery monitoring app to understand where energy is spent when the HOX is turned on...
what apps or widget do u guys use to see how much current(mA) is being charge to the phone?
hi all
mine charges from 25% to full in a little over 2 hrs
thats with the htc charger that came with it an the usb supplied by htc .... i have other leads that i used with my old deisre (non htc) and i gfet a very slow charge time .... i have got from ebay som high quality leads (if 2.99 post free is high quality) and they charge quickly so id say the onex is quite fussy over what leads you use to charge it
mind you im loving the phone have rooted mine and have the leedriod rom which is awsome

[Q] Long charge time - Only 160ma on wall ??

Hi guys,
I don't know why, but since a few days my phone takes a very very long time to charge, like 1 hour from 80% to 100%. It was about 25 minutes before.
I've used the app Ampere, and it gives me 160 mA with 3 differents wall chargers.
I hadn't updated my rom, Resurrection Remix 5.3.8, I hadn't updated my kernel, F4ktion 2.0.5, and my charger is the original one.
Could you help me ?
Thanks

My guess is that the Charge Controlling Circuit is Damaged/Fried or is the Battery itself.
...THOUGHTS - PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG:
The phone has a built in control charge circuit.
Assuming that:
-the OEM/Stock Charger will give exactly 5.0V and 1000 mAH,
-that you are using an original stock usb cable,
-the phone is turned on will suck exactly 400 mAH (when is not plugged into the charger go in Ampere it will be with brown/orange and for example with wifi on, screen dimmed etc.)
After you plug it into the wall charger this would be expected from Ampere app to show
A) If your battery is at 10% or 20% or 30% or 50% Ampere will show "Charging - 600 mAH"
B) If your battery is at 90% or 95% Ampere will show "Charging - 150 mAH"
C) If your battery is at 98% or 95% or 100% will show "Charging - 5 mAH"
As the battery is drained, the phone will "suck" more current from the charger.
As the battery fills up the phone will "suck" less current from the charger.
When the battery is full it will switch with trickle and tapp the battery.
-Don't let the phone to charge overnight in time it will damage the battery, sometimes trickle is not good
-Let the battery breathe when is in the charger, do not suffocate it with a silicon case
NiMh, NiCd, NiFE (Eddison battery), Li-Ion&&Li-Po, Li Car - Acid, have different charging algorithms.

But you can try this at home:
>>SOLUTION 1<<
Try a soft reset.
0. NOTE on a paper the procentaje of the battery eg. 80%
1. Shut down the phone
2. Pull out the battery, simcard, external microSD card
3. Press POWER ON for 5 seconds (with no battery) connected
It is not a must, but I also do also step 4 and 5.
4. Press Volume UP+Home+POWER for 5 seconds (with no battery) connected
5. Press Volume Down+Home+POWER for 5 seconds (with no battery) connected
Check the battery temperature, if is warm or cold let it for a while to be at the room temperature.
Then, insert sim, microSD, battery, cover, and start the phone.
The battery now should normally be at 75% or 85%, is not always like it was exactly at 80%
If the difference is more than 5% then somethig there could be wiked, like a faulty/bad battery.
>>SOLUTION 2<<
After doing solution 1.
1. Try a battery calibration (search on xda forum or google, I really don't know how to do that correctly)
2. Unninstall any apps like battery doctor/du battery saver etc,
Give a try for this app: Safe Charge by Todor Kolev

(currently free and no ads included)
-The description of this app is normally for something else, but I used in other scenarios on different phones with different problems and fixed the problem.
>>SOLUTION 3<<
Go to a samsung service. It seems that there where some problems with the battery's on s4 Mini in the past.

My Zenfone 2 (ze551ml) battery takes 7 to 8 hrs to full charge.

hello guys .. What happened to my asus? after the latest update , it happened. i already changed the cable, adaptor and still it takes 7 to 8 hrs to full its battery and there's no more fast charging indication.. Its also charging Via USB, but i plugged it directly to AC. please help
You need to give more info..
Are you using the correct charger, you need the one with output 2A, also the cable has to be compatible with that, also it's always better to start charging when is more than 60% discharged.

Yes .. im using the charger that came with it . i drained its battery 2x when im coming home late at night.
And that is the big one 18w 2a right?
You can try calibrating the battery or full system reset.
even with a cheap charger you dont need 8 hours to charge . i used my old samsung and it charged my zenfone within 3 hours. you just have somethhing draining the phone quick. clear your cache and check on yoir battery status
