Hello
I am searching for a tool, and maybe you guys can help me.
With my previous phone (ericsson k750i) I used a program called MyPhoneExplorer.
It automatically connects itself to your cell and allows you to send sms via bluetooth (advantage: typing on the computer)
Now I'm using windows mobile (on the xperia) but I can't seem to find such an app. (probably because there are so many windows mobile apps)
I found one that works, but it is not free.
(link)
What do you guys recommend?
Tnx!
i used mymobiler
jeyo mobile companion
jeyo seems to be what i'm looking for
are you able to let it sync your contacts?
yes, it downloads the contacts from your phone and sim.
and ofcourse upload it to your phone when you edit contacts.
it works like a backup system. so you always have a copy on your pc.
super, gonna try it soon, when my x1 returns from the warranty service :-(

I was wondering if it's possible to copy my received sms/mms messages to my PC? There doesn't seem to be an option in Activesync.
I used to use this program: www.mobiledit.com to backup my messages on my old Motorola V3, but that program doesn't (yet) support smartphones, typical!
So if someone could tell me HOW, or if there is any 3rd party software that can do it?
Thanks!
Apparently Kai's Mail+SMS Backup .Net will do it.
I've never used it though.
I think this is the sort of functionality that should be pre-built. The ability to export any settings and messages to a data-file on a PC (or the storage card) ready to be restored after a hard reset/ROM upgrade.
I use Jeyo Mobile Companion to backup sms, unfortunately it cant handle mms.

Ahh that looks like just the thing im after, thanks! Pity it doesn't support MMS though I wonder if that's planned in a future release....
EDIT: Damn i just looked again, and the latest version was released in August 2004! :'(
I'm looking for a solution for transfert mms from a device to an other with arcsoft MMS composer ...
Well i can see a directory named "UAContents" in the My Documents directory that apparently contain all mms file but if i copy it to the new device nothing appear in the inbox or all other folders
is somebody make this successfuly ?
Jeyo pwns.
esp. with Outlook 2003... (yes, something actually works properly and flawlessly with a Microsoft product !!)
Yah that's what im using now, and i agree, it actually WORKS lol!
Although my phone has started to do strange things lately... resulting in the loss of my texts and e-mails...... i just hope it isnt linked to Jeyo!
Hi guys,
I have gotten most of my setting over to this great phone but I am having a problem with finding a way of getting my old txt messages to my new handset.
I don't really wanna forward them on as they will not state who they were originally from.
I have tried to backup the messaging folder using Sprite backup and all that did was put the txt messages there but I lost the folders and ability to use MMS.
Can anyone suggest where I may find the files (texts) and where then to replace them on my new handset?
Ok free bump anyone know how to help with this one?
Pocket pc's save them to phone memory and read from there, unless you have a special program to do otherwise ;-)
No I have no program to do this, all I want to do is copy the old messages from my old handset to the new one.
I have tried to copy to the sim then back to phone but my old MDA Compact II does not have that option.
Does anyone know where on the phone they are stored so I could copy them over etc?
There is no simple way to copy sms messages - if you try copying the contents of your messaging folder they do not appear under text messages.
Search and you will find my friend - if you did you would of found this:
Jeyo mobile extender http://www.jeyo.com/extender.asp
It will copy messages to outlook on pc then you can sync with new device
or smsOrganizer v2.10 for WM2005/WM2003SE where you can also backup your texts. http://www.zedsoft.net/
Thanks Mark just uploaded Jeyo mobile extender and it does all I am looking for so I'll enjoy the trial and may even end up buying it?

If you follow the Upgrade mode FAQ, step by step here
https://spritesoftware.crmdesk.com/...earch=Search&area=0&criteria=0&sort=0&start=0
you should be able to restore the sms messages to your MDA Compact II
Note you should make a full backup, not just the email database, but all databases
Thanks for that its good to know wish I had seen this before as I had to load everything from scratch.
Can recommend Jeyo mobile extender has a few things they can improve on but is great for txting from keyboard (PC)

I was just wondering if anyone knows of a program like Jeyo that will allow you to send text messages through your computer while your phone is synced to your computer.
Since I've updated to WM6, it just says no device connected. I'm assuming it's due to the change from ActiveSync to WMDC.
If anyone knows of anything, that'd be great. -Shawn

*pfff...ok..I will help you out...
I use jeyo mobile companion also and this is what I did..
If you dont get it, thats your problem...
first: sync your ppc wm6 device to your computer.
sec: go to C:\Program Files\Jeyo Mobile Companion and copy "CommMan.exe" to your WINDOWS MAP ON YOU PPC!
third: SR and your done! sync it again with your pc and when you start Jeyo Mobile Companion on your pc it will automatically connect to your device..
You need to try more..what the hack if it goes wrong, you wont do it again and start all over again..and you learned something
Just a tiny kick totget this from the deep history.
What if your Jeyo hasn't got a file called commman.exe?
(version 2.0)
Map in (computer) program files is called: "Jeyo Mobile Extender for Outlook" if it should have been on my mda, then I am to late to copy it.
It's connected thou, but really doesn't want to download the inbox
Hello,
I'm trying to get a software which can be used to send Short Messages via HTC HD, when this is connected to the PC. There used to be some software like this for old Nokia, as part of the Nokia suite, I believe. Is there smth. like that for WM6?
It would be very useful when we want to send an sms and in front of the PC instead of typing on the HD virtual keyboard...
thanks,
ionutz
I use mymobiler to control my HD from the PC, & send txts
MyMobiler is a good free solution for remotly controlling the messaging app on your HD, or look at Jeyo Mobile Extender (for Outlook integration of SMS sending/receiving) or mDesktop, similar to the Nokia CC.

TrueConnect, by raspberry software is what I use

Thnaks a lot, guys, for your answers. I know I could and should have searched google before asking, but asking you guys gave me better answers than google search, eventually.
I chose MyMobiler and Jeyo Mobile Extender, but all look great.
thanks!
ps. What a great community this is!
Jeyo Mobile Extender 2.5 (1258)
I use Jeyo Mobile Extender 2.5 (1258) with Blackstone and MS Outlook 2007 and have problems connecting from time to time. It also complains about the registration name not being the same as the one on the phone from time to time. (Could be a white space perhaps, but if so it is definitely a bug). I've not found any pattern in the instabilities. There is little (or no) work being done to improve this utility. The idea of the utility is good, and there are not that many applications around that does the same. The utility seems a bit immature (beats me how it can be a v2.5...)

Is there any software I can use on Windows PC that use Active Sync to send the sms using my mobile. So I type the SMS on my PC but it go out trhough my HTC HD... Any idea?
I cant see why youd want to do that as messages are only 160 characters each so you wouldnt save time or anything...
but no, there is no such app.

Hi Zeshan,
please attached file
Br
Actually you can try Jeyo Mobile Companion. I use it myself and it seems to work well.
Hope it helps...
You can also try something that was posted in these very forums not long ago - PocketSMS. Not only can you do that but it synchronises your contacts and the like also.
Give it a search
try efficasoft
zeshan77, i fully recommend efficasoft as sep recommended. I use it every day, very nice and simple. Has an outlook type interface. And dont listen to ask, u can type ur texts a LOT quicker on a computer keyboard than u can with the touch screen.
thanks guys, ofcourse while working on computers all day, it obviously feel more easy to type the sms on pc and send using your mobile network operator. I will try the softwares recommended over here. Thanks alot.

Your obviously wrong about both of your answers: There are such apps (as listed by others before me) and ofcourse it makes sense to send them via PC if you have your phone docked - not to mention the increased typing speed on a real keyboard.
@zeshan: I use MyMobiler to access my HD and send SMS'. It allows you to completely control your HD from your PC. Check it out here: http://www.mymobiler.com/

Old topic, but i need to make it work for me now.
I have Windows 7 x64, and none of the programs is working correctly.
- efficasoft install the cab but then the windows client gives me a timeout error.
- PocketSMS after installing the cab starts giving random errors about arithmatic overflows etc..
- smssender 0.1 doesn't work
- i don't want mymobiler to see the mobile screen to write the sms, i want a normal windows program that connects to the mobile
are there new solutions??

hey i Just managed to get it working on my W7 x64 PC.
efficasoft - try it with Windows Vista Compatiblity mode and run it as admin.
works like a charm. ( establish active sync connection before that)
works via bluetooth too

I am trying, but it doesn't work, it installs the client cab on the mobile (Step 1/4) but then blocks on "Initializing Mobile Express Connector (2/4)" by saying Timed out connecting to device.
i am running as administrator, and vista compatibility mode...
- Does it matter if i have too many sms's on the device?
- Does it matter what is the ActiveSync configured to synchronize with the device? i have all services disabled, i connect it with active sync only to copy files on the device, no outlook, no nothing....
I have the same issue.
I have over 12 thousands sms in my inbox, and it's time to archive them and empty my device.
Efficasoft works here, connects to device, starts downloading sms (when doing i see a number next to inbox or draft folder showing unread messages), but since i have too much sms it needs more time than the software gives, and then it says timeout.
It's not a timeout, is just it should wait more, but it doesn't.
Somebody have a solution?
I am using version 1.55.
In my ROM (ENERGY 16FEB and above) there is a problem when using MS messaging. the SMS won't send and only wait in the outbox.
will these apps (like efficasoft) will work with the Manila SMS?
