Could anyone tell me where in the UK I could purchase a new surround for my Touch Pro 2 as I slipped on ice and my phone shot across the road scratchin the back and the side of the screen in the process.
I have found a digitizer from Hong Kong but would like to purchase from UK. Hope some one may be able to point me in the right direction.
you mean like a battery cover?

I do need the battery cover but as it skidded into the road the cover came off and flipped the phone over onto the screen and skidded on that as well so think I need screen housing.

I have slight scratches on my nexus I don't know for the life if me how it happened... I want a new phone or new housing, but I'm afraid that the housing isn't OEM. The repair is easy, but the parts have to be OEM.
Go to eBay and search for "Galaxy Nexus Housing" and you'll get a bunch of different results from different sellers, and they all hover around $43 for the kit (titanium housing and battery door). And about $16 for just the door.
I've already taken the leap about a month ago and picked up what I thought was OEM housing just in case, but upon very very close inspection and looking at where the battery doors connect, different manufacturing markings, and where the plastic was put together, I've decided that its not OEM.
Therefore, I'd like all of your opinions. Please and thank you.

These people sell oem housings, but I don't see any for the GS yet, just a dummy phone.

it could just be the plastic molding, its fairly cheap.

I have the exact same thing!

Guys, the hairline "scratches" on the corners of the phone are not scratches. They are where the plastic housing was molded. Every Galaxy Nexus has these. Even the demo model at the VZW store had them.
Does it invalidate the warranty, fitting a new housing? I can't see any warranty stickers that appear to need breaking to undo the screws?

it's common sense that this will void the warranty if it's done by someone other than a authorized repair service center, whether they will noticed it's done by you is another situation.

Hi to everyone, I bought my nexus 2 months ago and now I found out that the side cover which frames the screen and the phone itself is loose. I can put my nail between the screen and the cover very easily and it bends. This morning when I took my phone it squeeked and it came frome the left side of the cover. Now every time I push it or touch this place it squeeks, it's like there is a free space. Another problem I found is that the phone has very dirt and dust at the bottom between the screen and the frame, and when I blowed there thia morning to get it out the glass at the very bottom (not the screen) under the soft keys sweated from inside. I don't know what to do. If I bring it to my operator to fix it or replace it they may say that I have dropped it and from that is the problem

Well, your options are limited, and if you don't want to spoil your warranty I would take it back to the store you bought it from.
Swype'ed on my CM10 Galaxy Nexus
So basically with my backup phone S4 it dropped on its side with the case on it. Now the screen is not responsive to my touches at all.
Glass is not cracked. Up under glass in top left hand corner i can see small spider web. Along left side of the phone there is a grey, green and red thin lines.
I know my option is to replace the lcd, digitizer and screen all in one piece but for the price and repair trouble Im thinking of just buying a BAD ESN S4 off ebay that have a perfect display and just swap the motherboard from my phone to the phone I buy on Ebay and put the Ebay phone motherboard into my backup S4 and then sell that phone on ebay to get some of my cash back
My question is, can I use any S4 to do this? Will the tmobile motherboard work with any S4 meaning will it fit? is there any differences in the build?
Hi, my att note 4 dropped from a small hill on to the sidewalk in about 20 feet in the air with a case, the case was made of a hard gel typish case and the case twists when you put twist the case . After that I picked up the note 4, there were no cracks and then when i turned the phone on I saw a led light when the Samsung boot animation comes but there was no display. I took out the spen and i started tapping on my pin number on my lock screen and i heard vibrations when putting the password. Any ideas about what to do? Please help im a student and this is the only phone i have:crying:
So basically, your LCD panel went out. Many people don't realize how sensitive electronics are, but a good enough hit, even with a case may protect the phone but not the LCD. Your best bet is to get a screen assembly off of Ebay. Unfortunately, since you have a Note 4 and it has a Super AMOLED UHD display, it's going to be Super Expensive. You could also try buying a phone with a bad IMEI off of Ebay or craigslist and take the main board out and replace the screen assembly. Its not hard to change a screen assembly, especially since you have a Note 4 with a removable back, because with maybe 10 screws, you can take out your main board and replace whatever you need like a car. What these new companies are doing is sealing the back and its almost the same thing as sealing a hood on a car- so if something goes wrong you have to junk the phone. But like I said, screen assembly is your best bet. Good luck
Has anyone replaced your battery on tab s2 where you source it?
You can find New Samsung ones on ebay for around 10 English pounds.
Easy job to replace too. Takes around 5 to 10 minutes.
Just loosen the back with a sucker then go round edge with Guitar pick.
Couldn't get back off fully from the Camera, but you can easily get out the battery by flexing the back open gently.
Battery stuck down with a few spots of glue but easily popped out with the guitar pick.
Back popped right back in.... Bit of play on the back so not as water resistant as before. No issue if you use in a case for me.
Beats the 30% wear on the battery after just 14 months.
Forgot to mention, I have the 8 inch version SM-713
I looked around ebay and amazon. Those Chinese man probably selling used ones pretending to be new. Is there any reliable source for really new ones? Thx.
hi anyone here?

Try Amazon. I just replaced the battery in my T713
I’ve replaced mine twice and sent back three or four batteries.
As far as I can tell, it next to impossible to get a good battery and original is completely unattainable.
So far I have never found a decent battery.
I've asked the local Samsung support a few months ago, it cost, in usd, ~$50, so I sold the tablet instead
Anybody who has done the replacement have any issue getting the back cover back on? I broke a couple of the clips off and can't find a replacement back. I'm hesitant to glue the back together in case this battery takes a dump. I am using double sided tape that came with a screen replacement kit but it is still pretty easy to peel the back off.

Is this about the 8" version? The 9.7" version needs to have the screen removed, mid-plate unfastened (16 tiny philips screws, including 2 easy to miss ones w flat-black heads).
I've just replaced my battery, the one that was in there was an OEM Samsung but my screen was glued on w black 4mm tape that covered one of the mid-plate screws, so I dunno if this was the original battery.
I replaced mine because I was getting 'storms' of reboots, thought the battery might be the issue (FWIW, still getting the same reboots post-battery-replacement.)
FWIW, I already had a killer suction cup on hand (from a RAM mount setup), these thin pry/cut tools https://www.fixez.com/categories/repair-tools/pry-tools/qianli-stainless-steel-ultrathin-pry-tool made it easy to get the screen off.
I also had an industrial quality heat gun to soften the glue, but that turned out to be unnecessary (you might need one if you start with your tablet cold)
I just changed the Battery on my T813.
It started to do some odd things, like rebooting even though there was plenty of charge or simply discharging to flat from 100% in a few hours without being used.
I got this from amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07KSZCDCB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
it was a breeze to fit, back cover came of really easily after the initial poke around at one of the top corners (camera end)
No screws to undo, no adhesive, once that corner popped up (using the knife seen in pic 1) it was very easy

undo the connector cable, undo the 4 screws, remove
replacement is the reverse, and pop the case back on
Holds charge better, doesn't run out while using and as yet, no random reboots
In 2023 is it possible to buy brand new battery for SM T813?
