You're using a kitchen ? which one ?
brds,
nAr
i am using erviuskitchen 1.8.2, the rom i have created works fine but i want to change these values. xipporterex did not port the new xip.bin so i did it manually. find date/version only shows 00 as rom version but the date is correct.

for the first screen, dunno, but for second, try this :
in OEM-TRINITY-COMMON you have a folder named "OEMVERSION"
If yes, look inside, if there is a .provxml edit it with notepad
If no folder, or empty, create it, then copy the 2 files I included in zip (edit provxml to your needs)
Then cook a rOm, and look in the Device Info
brds,
nAr
very nice, you gave me the right tip. thank you a lot!
If you have proper tools (Visual Studio with Mobile Embedded package) you can edit shellres.dll.0409.mui. Don't try this is in other resource editors, otherwise mui file will be crappy.
i want someone who can edit and combine two of the attached bootanimation. Basically i want to delete 0078.png till 00109.png from part0 and delete part1 from 1st bootanimation.zip and add 2ndbootanimation.zip to make one. what i want is pc style bootanimation out of two files. i dont have skill to do this. i will appriciate help.
Well, I have the files and am putting it together now. You should give the original post-ers credit for their work on these. All I am doing is merging them.
I don't care if someone modifies what I put work into, but some people do. So for now, when it's done, I'll PM it to you.
thanks man i wait for it. And I will give credit to the orignal posters once its done

Yeah, I'll be jumping all over this request.
Here is something like you asked for. I didn't remove the part1 from the second animation as it needed something to loop.
I used boot animation preview in my signature to do it. It is real easy with that tool.
create the boot animation root directory
copy the "parts" in to the root directory (i did have to resize the "windows" images from 200x200 to 320x480)
select the "camera" from the toolbar
select the animation root directory
select the output directory
done
here is a preview, which boot animation preview also creates.

Thanks man for the help but its giving me black screen. I tried with the bootanimation tools like you said but its not working. It plays fine on PC.

Hi, can you please explain me step by step how to translate an app and what files i can rewritte when i decompile .dll ?? i don't understand many step... lol
Big thankx for the tools man,
Poloche,
First, decompile the app's main .dll file, you fill get the couple of files extracted. In some cases (especially when the app has more than 1 language supported), you will get a .resources file. Use .NET Resource to edit it's content. Otherwise, if there is no .resources file, you will have to do the work by Hex Editor.
Take a look at the screenshot for more details.
How To Extract The System Folder From
Stock Firmware PDA File
Why Might You Want To Do This
There maybe a number reasons - for example
1- You may want to copy the system folder into kitchen to use as a working folder to create a custom rom
2- You may want to get certain files from stock rom without having to flash stock rom
How To Do It
Programmes required
1- Winrar
2- MagicISO (or any other programme able to open and extract img files)
Download the stock firmware from my firmware thread 5360 Here or 6102 Here
Note firmware downloaded from Sammobile will need to split first using splitfus2
Click the spoilers to get screenshots of each step
Step 1

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Unzip firmware using winrar
Look at the file pda_5360_basebandversrion.tar.md5
Step 2
Rename file to remove the extension .md5 so its just .tar
Step 3
Open it with winrar and extract system.img to a folder on your desktop
Step 4
Open system.img in magiciso
Now you will see all the rom files
Step 5
Highlight all the files and drag and drop to a folder on your desktop or you can highlight them all and right click and select extract
You now have a folder with all the stock rom files that you can copy to a working folder in kitchen or use as you wish
very nice boz
will test tommorrow
