As can be read in the tmc thread somewhere on xda, the hypergps driver and gfmapi do not fully support the rhodium yet.
But the Topaz is fully supported and users report working tmc there with Igo and Navigon.
In the radio rom thread in the rhodium rom development is stated that it is possible to flash topaz radio's on the rhodium.
Now my question is if it is probably that the hypergps will work on the rhodium with a topaz radio rom? And if it is possible to flash a topaz radio rom with only hardSPL or is it neccessary to security unlock the phone with some tool??
Anyone tested a topaz radio already??

From what I understand, this would require you to security unlock the phone to flash the topaz radio. But as to whether this will all work on a tp2 using a topaz radio, is what we need to know...
Well, the problem with Rhodium is not the ROM, but the HW radio module and its driver (different to Topaz) ,which is not giving the raw RDS data. So you must wait (and me also) until the driver is hacked.

i prefer the newest dutch t-mobile rom with included radio (1.10) rom
includes aku2, a2dp and it has shortcuts to the task manager so no need for extra app. necesarry
also the included radio gives me better reception then 1.09 (havent tried 1.11 yet)
speed is same as latest qtek rom which seems to be the most popular rom on the forum (with radio 1.09)

Hi, I've been trying to get hold of a more recent version of the radio ROM for my Universal (Orange-branded SPV M5000), and since my network provider's ROM update doesn't patch up to the latest version I resorted to the links on these forums. However, all the links to version 1.15 of the Radio ROM on the xda-developers ftp server seem to be dead, and in fact just trying to connect to the server root using the links in the wiki brings up a "the server is unreachable" error. I don't know if the server is temporarily down or whether the admins of this site have been forced to take down all links to it.
I have, however, managed to download one of the cooked WM6 ROMs linked to from these forums but hosted on other ftp sites. The one I picked is the L26 WM6 Pro V7 Videocall 2 ROM, which, in its release notes, says that the radio ROM included is 1.15. My question is, can I take the radio_.nbf file from that ROM and flash my device with it, or is that a specifically-WM6 version of the radio ROM which won't work on my WM5 Universal unless I flash it to WM6?
SEARCH for DARKFORCE ROM under windows mobile 6. You should find it included in the package.

They're both WM6 packages - my question was whether the radio ROMs included in the would work the same with WM5 (I don't want to upgrade the WM6 as I lots of people seem to be having stability problems with it from what I'm reading on here, and I don't need any of the extra functions in 6).
Also, the bug that Bluetooth switches itself off under the 1.15 radio ROM that some people have reported: does it occur under WM5 or just under WM6?

I am not familiar with what kind of RADIO version Leo's ROM contains. I tried his a long time ago, so I forgot. But DarkForce ROM was the first one to release on this site version 1.15.00. It was the source of every Radio version 1.15.00 that you see out here.
The BT problem is in the CE ROM. The Radio ROM has nothing to do with that.
I suggest you read on how to upgrade just the radio part before pursuing anything else. You might end up upgrading everything and that is EQUAL TO A HARD RESET.

Yep, thanks, so I take it that since his is the source it WILL work on WM5 as well? Don't worry, I already read the relevant page on the wiki about how to upgrade the radio without flashing the whole thing! I just wanted to make sure all these WM6 radio ROMS will work on WM5 before doing anything!
Yes it works under WM5. You can update just the radio rom without a hard reset. You will find a guide somewhere here in the forums or in the wiki. I would have to search myself.

i read that you can enable the gps chip in this device with some kind of software update. can i install one of the wm 6 roms and use gps? is it included or do i have to do something special?
In my opinion every wm6 has gps enabled. I have never seen a rom here where gps wasn't enabled...
Actually, the GPS enable issue has nothing to do with WM6. WM6, as an operating system, takes use of the hardware GPS function which you have to enable from the Radio ROM. In order to do this you need to upgrade you Radio to one that enables the GPS by hardware.
When you upgrade to WM6 using the official rom you will also update the radio to a version which enables the GPS. Hope this helps. Most of the cooked roms on this site also have the GPS enabled.

When I searc for TMC protocol I get a message that there is no TMC hardware.
Is there any way to enable the TMC (through the Radio) in the TP2 ?

Nope, the FlyWhc driver doesn't yet support the Rhodium. The HyperGPS should work on the Rhodium, but only once the FlyWhc driver is updated.
Just follow those two threads and wait for updates .

I bought used diamond which came with cooked rom which I think was most stable rom, I flashed my dm many times to get my gps working but nothing helped I tryied official roms, cooked roms with different radios but cant find suitable (always flashed with mtty to avoid problems). please help me to find rom In which gps will work, will have integrated g-config, ezinput, manila 2.1 (not colored taskbar), and will be STABLE. Sorry for my english and thx for help

I tryed many roms with different radios but GPS is not working. I ve tested radios 1.09.25.23 and 1.11.25.01. Even with official rom and official hot fixes from htc,also with htc gps tool and cold start but nothing ...
Considering you did try everything concerning radio and rom, i get the feeling you might have a hardware failure. I've had some GPS problems on various devices but was always able to solve them with the HTC GPS tool.
When and how did your GPS stopped working?
when I bought it gps was not working It came with hspl 1.40 olinex unsigned, and wm6.5. I even tryed garmiin 4 and tom tom 6 without results
i've got the same hspl as you with a wm 6.5 rom on it and a rather old radio (1.13.25.24). No problems using GPS in Googlemaps and TTNavigator (7.916.9189)

Install htc gps tool =>change mode to cold start
go outside and run google maps.
