Does anyone know of an application that lets you preform a soft reset on a WM smartphone?
I know that Facade does it, but I am not using Facade. Thanks.
Celetask also has the feature.
Trianglepowers has a reboot button that you don't have to open a program to get to. Just click the icon and viola, your device restarts.

Wow, man thanks! They have some cool stuff here.
I use SmartToolKit for my soft resets. It is not a good as not having to open an app to do it but I can stor it on my SD Card and oly open it when I need to do a soft reset. It also has some other nice features.
Here's a simple one from PHM. Just unzip and put the exe file in your start menu folder. This one prompts you, but I think you can make a shortcut with the -silent flag to do an unprompted reboot.

or by pressing and holding the hang up key? can it be set up that way?
I hope i know what you mean, but if, it's possible .
Go into the phone settings, if youre running standard rom, start menu -> Settings -> Personal, otherwise in the settings Tab and over "all settings".
There you select "Buttons" and "End Key".
Then you can choose what your device should do if you hold the end key, so you might select "Automatically execute the selected action" and "lock device".
If thats what you searched for, it should work, although the unlock-screen isnt very pretty.

go to one of Miri's 6.5 rom threads and in the first page open the cab repository.
Download and install Miri's Long press key

What rom are you running? I have tried a few wm6.5 roms and have yet to find that setting. I guess thats why Miri added a cab to add that function.

I have a tmobile TP2 and would like my home button to act as a Windows button like all the other tp2s...... Any way to do this?
Ive searched but to no avail...... Thanks
Install the GSM version of this and SDKcerts (both at the link). Then, reboot, go to Start>Settings>System>Keyboard Config. When you get there, go to Menu>Add Key, and press the home key. Then, for "Action", set it to "Emulate Key Press", and scroll all the way down to "91 Left Win Key", and select that. Hit okay, and then hit Update Config. You may need to reboot, but otherwise, that should work.

I'm glad I could help
In my Vodafone stock Rom, the "Windows" Hard Key pointed at the list of installed programs rather than the Deepshining rom which points at the windows folders. Can I use this app (or any other) to check it's function back again ?
Hi!
I did a factory reset on my phone yesterday and I cannot edit the "Me" entry... (My profile)... If you select it it just says loading... and does nothing. If you long press to get the menu and you select edit it does nothing and if you select "Send my profile" it force closes!
Has anyone got any ideas?
Alan
For whatever reason I can no longer side load apps. Yes, I've got the checkbox for "unknown sources" checked. I've tried rebooting with it unchecked and then rebooting with it checked.
Here's what happens: I can download and run an apk, like Amazon app store. I click on the APK to install it. It then gives me the normal screen with permissions with the "Cancel" and "Accept" buttons at the bottom. I can tap on the "accept" button all I want but nothing happens. The "cancel" button works but not the "accept."
Other than a factory reset, is their any other solution.
BTW, this is stock without root. I don't want to root.
