Not that I really fancy the tp2 notification manager, but for some reason, now whenever I tap the icons above the home screen, the notificaiton manager no longer appears....anyone know what happened here? I can't seem to find a option for turing the function on or off..
is it weird I want the notification manager bar to come back?

Hi i did a search using both the forums built in search and google but i still could not find an answer.
I noticed a tray icon popped up recently on my device, i don't think it's harmful or because of any newly installed application (all i have is PTTFix on it right now and a few registry tweaks) but i was still curious as to what it was.
The icon looks like "!" with a red circle that consists of an arrow.
Thank you in advance!
If it's the Icon I'm thinking of it is what I've been seeing as of late when I set my phone to silent or vibrate and I too have the PTTFix as well as a few other items including the HTC Home theme
I agree, that on mine it's the phone icon when it's set to silent or vibrate.
Yep that appears to be it, thanks for the heads up!
Can't seem to find anything in the wiki to remove it, seems like a redundant icon to have when the top bar clearly shows if the phone is on vibrate/silent.
Now you know what, how about why?
As standard, the phones don't go into Vibrate when you hold the Comm Manager button. This was an add on program by someone here (think Khypur, apologies if I'm wrong) and produced that tray icon when the phone's in Vibrate just to let you know. Since this program came out, it's been integrated into most people's ROMs, hence the icon when the phone's in Vibrate mode.
I personally agree that I'd prefer my ROM without the icon, but I'd also prefer my ROM with "holding Comm Manager button setting/unsetting Vibrate" so I'm quite happy putting up with the icon to get this!

Its that vibrate icon that pops up when you put your phone in vibrate. Its present in AT&T and almost all ROM's based on AT&T.
yes i concur

Hey everyone; So I was just going through and updating all of contacts, customizing settings, etc in my T-Mobile TP2, and when I went back to the home screen my task manager icon (which usually appears at the top right of the screen) was gone! I did multiple soft resets, to no avail; When I open a program the "x" button shows up so i can close it, but if I just want to minimize to the homescreen and switch to a different program (or close other programs running in the background) I'm unable to!
Has anyone else had this problem, or does anyone know the fix???? This is a pretty crucial feature, otherwise I can never multi-task!
Thanks in advance.
Two more things that might help? 1. I'm using the stock T-Mobile US ROM, and 2. Is there somewhere I can go in the registry to turn it back on?
Either that, or maybe a custom bar along the top that will re-enable that icon?
Thanks.......
I figured it out... Going back through the settings again, I found that in Settings > Task Manager > "Button" tab, I had unchecked "Enable Quick Menu on Today screen", thinking that it was only an option that applied to the Windows Today screen that was just taking up background resources (since Im using the TouchFlo 3D interface)...
Sorry! Hope this can be used as a reference to anyone else having this problem, though!
I was reading through the Tilt 2 user manual last night and came across some screenshots of the HTC Notification Manager. It's supposed to pop up when one taps any of the icons in the title bar (signal meter, battery meter, etc.). On my Tilt 2, tapping the signal meter causes a connections bubble to pop up, but nothing else. Using the FDCSoft Task Manager, I found the HTC Notification Manager service to be stopped. It's set to automatic, but doesn't start when the phone boots up. You can start the service and the Notification Manager will work after that, but it will not survive a soft reset. Has anyone else seen the same behavior or found a fix for this? Is there any way to make the service start when the phone is soft reset? I checked the registry settings for the service but there was no obvious key to change.
I did a search for this and found a brief thread from October that was never resolved. Just curious if there is a fix for this.
Hi...this is my first post, except the presentation...
I have a problem with these two apps on my brand new galaxy s2.
The problem is: if I am using the phone and something arrives, the screen turns black and appears the notification of noled.
Foe example: I'm chatting with google talk, a message arrives and then the screen turns black with notification of noled...
It's a bit annoying
Are there any settings to change to solve this problem?!?
Thanks...
Anyone?
I have the same problem with NoLed, been trying all kinds of solutions but yet to get it to work.
If my screen is turned off and I get a message I can't wake the phone with the power button cause that causes black screen.
Have to use homescreen button, annoying.
in widget locker go to settings>advanced and disable "retain system keyguard". should help.
Anyone else have this problem with the icon in the status bar of the talkback icon showing up in settings saying that it is on?
I check the settings and it is definitely off but the icon remains.
I've restarted the device and reset the icon by turning it on and back off, but eventually the icon finds itself back on randomly.
It's pissing me off.

Same problem here . Usually happens after a restart. Only way I get rid of it is by enabling it and disabling it again (though operating in Talkback mode is a bit of a work and takes a bit of understanding of how to operate...like using using two fingers to swipe the screen and double tap instead of a single tap to select an option. Hence I would not recommend my way of getting rid of the icon, unless you know what you are doing ).
Samsung should really come up with a fix of this annoying bug.
Happen to me as well until I uninstall all apps that use this method to push notifications.
I.e. go launcher notification plugin
