Recently, when I put my phone on speaker (manually) and then if I turn the phone over so that the speaker faces me, the call automatically gets hung up. If I place it on the table while in speakerphone mode, same thing. It hangs up. Anyone know why this might be happening?

When i get or make a phonecall my speaker turn automatically on.
Even on the lowest volume it's still loud.
I also have to turn off the volume myself.
Is there any solution to this.
Hi,
yesterday I restarted my HTC Desire GSM running CM7 and during the first call I noticed that the voice of my interlocutor was caming from behind the phone (rear speaker). I tried turning the Speaker on/off several times during the call and rebooting as well but still the call speaks out from behind.
Any clue/suggestion for me? That's pretty uncomfortable
Sounds weird, do you mean it goes into speaker mode? If you do maybe there is a problem with your accelerometer. In the Sound settings is 'Flip for speaker' on, if so try turning it off. This setting may be causing your phone to enter speaker phone even though your phone isn't flipped.
I'm not an expert but maybe this is causing the problem.
It's not exactly the "speaker" because the volume is very low, exactly like a normal call but instead it comes from the rear speaker. Moreover I can turn the speaker on, which makes the volume louder but still from behind the phone (as it should be).
However I checked the call settings and the proximity is disabled. I tried enabling/disabling a couple of times but no luck at all
Any other suggestion please? Still can't hear from the right side of my phone and rear speaker definitely s**ks
On stock rooted 4.1.2 AT&T.
When I put a call on speakerphone, it often reverts spontaneously back to the earpiece after a certain amount of time...does this happen to anyone else? I'm wondering if it's a common glitch or from a defective handset. It happens both when the screen times out and when it's on. The speakerphone button still shows it being on when it's off already - I have to hit it twice more to get the speakerphone going again
While I'm at work, I have to put my phone into 'mute' mode. Then I plug it in and let it charge while I'm at work. However, whenever a phone call comes in and as I ignore it, it turns to a "missed call", the phone automatically turns the volume back on. Then someone else calls and it rings at full volume, getting my boss pissed at me. How do I set it so that it WON'T turn off mute just because of a "missed" call????
It seems whenever I make a call from my favorites in the phone app it goes right to speakerphone, yet the phone doesn't indicate speaker phone is active. I have to select the icon twice in order to go back to regular. Pretty annoying and they've yet to fix!
Anyone else seeing this? I'm stock unrooted.
I had the same issue when I went straight from a voicemail on speaker to calling the number from that voicemail. A restart solved my issue.
Happened to me once or twice.
This has happened to me as well, I believe I was also calling someone directly from voicemail. It even tells you it's calling and turning on speakerphone for the call.
