Hi!
Is there a way to disable the notification pop-up regarding headset not awailable (I have bluetooth in my car and now I get this message every time I turn of the engine of my car)
any advice would be great
Perfect if it disapeared after ie. 5 seconds.
A
you should write HTC support - they are the ones that need to get it fixed (micro$oft or quallcom is the one that needs to fix it) - but HTC can ask them to do that, not you.

Please help me out I'm incredibly frustrated with this thing. I recently got the PDA2k and installed WM05 on it. It looks very nice and it runs speedy with no problems. My problem is the bluetooth which is huge thing to me. Either my headset (Tekkeon Eztalker Mini) is not compatible which I doubt or I'm making a stupid mistake.
This is what I did step by step: I click on the bluetooth icon and turn on the bluetooth, I then put my headset in pairing mode and the imate is able to recognize it and I enter the Pw and I put Set as handsfree. That's it, I would think I would be done at this point yet nothing happens, the headset doesn't do anything and I know its not Tekkeons fault because I was able to hook it up easily with my HP 6315.
So what's going what am I missing?
Also theres a tab at the bottom called "Com Ports" but I only see under this option "Incoming Port", and the description at the top says there should be another option called "New outgoing port". Does this have anything to do with it?
What Am i doing wrong? It's driving me crazy I can't really use the phone without the headset.
help me out pls
Bluetooth
I know the feeling, i have gone back to 2003 cause of that but now i am back on wm5. The bluetooth issue is not fixed yet, it is not stable, it keeps going off. There is a suspend cab file, but it does not work for me yet, also try pokect zen beta. You might get a longer period of bluetooth
thanks for responding, but the problem is not that it suspends or stops working. It doesn't start working at all even though the imate detects it. It's like it's not connected at all, not that it disconnects. I'm doing something wrong I just don't know what.
The bluetooth piece is not faulty and the unit is practically brand new. whats going on?
I used "Display Switch" binded button (From Wisbar Advance 2) or "Toggle Screen" (From SPB Pocket Plus) to turn off the backlight instead of using power button .
This work around will keep bt connection alive.
Note:
1. If you suspend your BA using psShutXP your bt connection .
2. You have to disable auto turn off device under Start -> Setting -> Power
Note:
1. If you suspend your BA using psShutXP your bt connection will be disconnected.
I'm sorry I'm not sure I'm explaining myself correctly. I understand that if the power goes off I will lose the BT connection but the problem is not KEEPING the connection alive, the problem is MAKING the connection. I follow all the steps , the imate recognized the headset but I'm not able to use it..also shouldn't a headset picture show up at the top of the screen when the bt headset is connected (cuz mine doesnt). what am i doing wrong?
thanks.
still need help please.. if someone can walk me through how to setup a bluetooth connection that would be great cuz I apparently haven't done it right.
The headset icon only shows in Phone app
The headset icon only shows up in the Phone application. It no longer is displayed in the notification area (top row).
If your device is paired up, when you make a call, you will see the headset icon in the top right corner.
You may also need to clear any old pairings that you headset has. I have a Jabra 250 and it happens all the time.
there we go you have solved my problem!. I didnt' have to open up the phone application on my hp 6315 to use the bt. So wait can I listen to music with windows media player through the bt headset or does it only work when making phone calls? I was able to listen to music on the HP 6315, is it different with the Imate or is it the NEW 05 os? Please enlighten me
thank you thank you
also one other thing does this mean that if i want to use the headset with the phone that I have to press the answer button on the imate rather than the headset..cuz that would suck big time.
what about when people call me can i answer with the answer button of the bt headset or no?
It works fine with the headset button for answering or hanging up.
Later.......... 8)

Every time I connect my Plantronics 590 headset to it (in A2DP mode), I get a message saying "The connected Bluetooth headset does not support volume adjustment on the device. Adjust the volume on the headset itself". First of all, I thought all BT headsets don't adjust the system volume on the headset. The more annoying problem is that I get this message at other times, most notably while playing back video with CorePlayer and randomly when changing music tracks with TF3D.
Is there any way to disable this notification?
have you tried this topic here? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=524655
it is under - Remove BT Notification on Connect/Disconnect of headset / car kit thanks to Wensing
Hallo,
i think this is only for the connect/disconnect message not for the volume message or im wrong ?

OK, installed the cab, but then it says to change the notification setting under 'sounds /notifications'. I don't have Bluetooth listed under this screen.
Has anyone got this to work? What did you do after installing the cab?
Cheers,

In my case [ROM 1.19.401.0 (51489) WWE, 05/16/09; Bluetooth version 2.1/2.1+EDR] the "Bluetooth warning" option does appear, under/as---> Start\Settings\All Settings\Personal\Sounds and Notifications\Notifications\Event\Bluetooth Warning.
Hope that helps...
That is very odd. I don't have this on my TP2 with Dutch rom. Why HTC? Please oh please tell us why you punish us this way. Are we Dutch people not good enough for your effort?

I have the same issue. I've installed the cab but this has nothing to do with this message. As said above the cab only concerns the initial connection between the phone and the BT device.
More over, I have tried to use Cyberon Voice Commander and when the phone is linked via BT with the headset, it generates a message every time I launch the recognition of a command (the BT kit has not volume control...). This message also makes the Voice Commander stop the recognition which makes the BT headset and Voice Commander incompatible on Touch Pro 2.
The same configuration worked perfectly on my TYTN II.
I made sure the notifaction was off, but i still get this..
The connected Bluetooth headset does not support volume adjustment from the device. Adjust the volume on the headset itself

Which is kinda BS cause i can adjust the volume from the TP2 and the bluetooth dongle. Tho i guess it means the control on the dongle doesnt adjust the volume on the device itself.
I also get
Your Bluetooth headset has been disconnected. Please place the phone to your ear.

Either way.. the cab seemed to do nothing.

Hello all,
I have a new HTC Touch Pro 2 (Raphael) and I have spent the last 2 house trying to get the system audio and mic (not phone audio) to route to my bluetooth headset or bluetooth audio in my car hands free and I can't seam to get any working..
This is what I have tried:-
Bluemusic V2
audioroute V1.2.020 (via XDA developers) - this works great allowing system audio to go through the phone speaker but no bluetooth function.
Sound Destination Gotlandh (via XDA developers) - works on old HTC Hermes but not HTC Touch Pro 2. - also needs headset button to set route audio but no button on car handsfree.
BTaudio (via XDA developers) - BTAudioOff.exe BTAudioOn.exe files - this would be great but I get an error when try to run - Failed to enable BT audio.
Surely with this latest phone I can use Skype/an SIP VOIP application/media player with the bluetooth headset - anyone got it working?
Thank you
Which phone do you have? The Raphael isn't the TP2. The TP2 is the Rhodium found here.
Opps,
thanks mindfrost82 - I made a mistake, it is a HTC touch pro 2 - please can a moderator move this to the Rhodium forum?
I have the same desire - I use this regularly and it appears that the WIDCOMM stack is sufficiently different that the existing little program (BTAudioOn/Off and BTAudioToggle) no longer work.
Blargh - anyone have a solution?
THERE IS! Its built in - go to the Bluetooth config screen, go to SETTINGS/Advanced, and in there under "Audio" is an option to route system sounds to the handsfree.
DONE!
Note that it has a side effect - it leaves the connection open forever if there's an audio stream available to it, so be cautious or you can drain the hell out of your battery, plus you won't ring normally (it will ring through to the headset) until you turn it off.
Hahaha - I discovered this today as well by accident!
Well done Genesis3!
I have tried the bluetooth headset with Skype and SJphone VOIP application and the bluetooth headsets speaker and mic work, the only strange thing is for some reason the bluetooths mic sound is speeded up the other end when heard on both Skype, Fring and SJphone, it sounds like I have inhaled a helium baloon!!
As soon as I disable bluetooth headset and speak with the speakerphone, the sound heard the other end is normal again.
Any Ideas anyone?
I have tried many bluetooth audio router software to get this far and I wonder if some registry settings are messed up. (the standard bluetooth connection to a normal phone call is fine)
Same thing here. Cant use skype through my bluetooth. Audio is routed to rer speaker

I just wanted to say Thank You! I've been going around in circles trying different btaudio this btaudio that to find a working solution and was even willing to pay 30 bucks for a program that would do it! Suffice to say, this worked perfectly with mortplayer and the audio stream I wanted to monitor.
Audio thru Bluetooth
Sure this works but isn't there a quick button (hopefully from the taskbar) that can accomplish this without going thru the 6 screens to get this done? Something similiar to Audioroute that would work on a Touch Pro 2 would be ideal..

Hi all,
I have a Pioneer AVIC Z2 in my car w/ the Bluetooth Adaptor, ends up just being a Hands Free Car Kit...
Anyway - all of my previous phones have worked fine with it. My TP2 BASICALLY works correctly except for one VERY annoying problem. I am not able to "hang up" via the touch screen on the AVIC. I hit the end call button and nothing happens.
I found this out when I had left my TP2 in my backpack in the trunk so someone got about a 5 minute voicemail of me swearing at the AVIC / TP2 for not haning up (until the time limit on the voicemail kicked me out).
Does anyone know if there is some BT setting / registry item that prevents external devices from ending a call via BT ???
Thanks,
Ryan

Thanks for the suggestion - unfortunately no luck for me, still won't hang up.
So I've got a bluetooth headset for use in the car. When the phone is on using voice commands from the headset works fine. But as soon as the screen turns off, I can no longer command the phone via the headset anymore. If I get a phonecall I can answer with the headset just fine, and if I do a long-press on the headset's multi-function button it will automatically call back the last number I called, so I know it must be capable of bypassing the lockscreen somehow. But I can't just click the button on the headset and say "Call _____" if the phone's screen is on; the phone just wakes up and goes to the lockscreen.
Any idea how I can give the headset access to the phone without having to go through the lockscreen everytime? Obviously if I'm using the headset it means I'm driving, so having to input my PIN is not a safe way to go, considering the whole point is that everything is voice-controlled. Maybe an app that will temporarily disable the lockscreen if the phone detects it's been paired with a bluetooth headset? I checked the settings for Voice Command and didn't see anything that covers that.
And no, "Disable the PIN lockscreen" is not a viable answer. Please don't suggest it.
EDIT: Dunno why it won't let me delete the thread if no one's replied.
After thinking about it, I found a way to make AutomateIt (an app) do what I wanted it to do. For anyone interested, I have a trigger to check to see if the phone is connected to the bluetooth device, and if so to disable the lockscreen. Another trigger-action re-enables it if the device disconnects.
Bluetooth bypass
Thank you for your post. Can you share how to implement your solution?
I am working on remapping a key on my car to voice commands but am running into the same problem as you.
There is a "Allow bluetooth bypass" setting under security, but it is not working in what I am trying to do. (I am not sure exactly how that option works exactly)
Thank you.
Also, anyone know how the "Allow bluetooth bypass" option works? I have searched through xda and google, but have not found much so far.
