Hi All, I am wondering if there is anyway that a direction button can be assigned to activate the speed dial menu in the phone function of my O2 XDA EXEC? This is a standard function on my old XDA2, its really handy when as when I am driving, all you have to do is press the make call button then arrow down (which goes straight into speed dial menu), find your speed dial entry and hit make call again, it was so simple!!
I do have a bluetooth headset, but depending on background noise the voice dialling is a bit hit and miss. FWIW I usually have the phone in portrait mode/tablet mode as I find its better for me.
Thanks in advance for any replies.
Phil
Well, I was hoping after nearly 40 views on this topic someone may have said if it was possible, cmon guys if you know a way please tell me
My green button is broken
i`d like to use videocall button instead
HELP please!
tried to use AEBPlus, but it simply start the telephone program, and to dial the selected number i should press the software button
Just wondered any tweaks so the button on the hands free can be JUST PRESSED to voice dial rather than hold(seems take ages!!! to activate).
Cheers.
there should be, when i'm using my BT Head set (random cheap one) i can just press a button on that to activate voice dialing.
hi, i have xda orbit i wanted to know if theres any way to assign a function specifically to the hardware volume button on the top left side.
thanks.
Tweak request-
-Enabling the mute button on the back of the phone when you are on a BT headset or just using the handset so you don't have to mess with the screen.
-A step further: Allow you to remap the button during different situations.
Example-
While not on a call you could remap it to something like voice command or live search (or anything else you wanted)
I accidentally hit that button alot when talking with the phone held to my ear. Launching programs would be weird too as its on the back. I'm sure it can and will be done though.

I'm assuming that no one has come up with anything considering how old this thread is. I'm looking for the same exact thing. This would be great when using my hands-free car stereo that doesn't provide a mute button. Bump!
Either you guys haven't tried Rhodium Keyboard Controller yet, or that's not what you're looking for.
It lets you remap all hardware keys, including the mute button.
