I have a T-Mobile branded desire which i unlocked via a code from the net so i could use a Vodafone sim in it if i debrand (to get froyo) will i get simlocked ???
as long as it get unlocked from code, you can flash it with any roms u want and you wont get locked again.
I was prevoiusly using unbranded DHD and boy was life easier with root, s-off etc
Now on One-X im on branded T-mob, I have obtainded the sim unlock code so am now partly free but still t-mob005 cid.
My question is can the cid be modified now im sim unlocked or am i stuck on ICS until t-mob release JB?

No, CID can't be changed without S-Off, and we don't have S-Off.
SIM Unlock and S-Off are completely separate.
I know sim unlock and s off are different, just thought there may of been a hack to modify cid.
Cheers anyway
Ive got a Incredible 2 that's bootloader and sim unlocked. Tried my ATT sim afterward and it doesn't work. Is there specific roms or procedures to get it working?
How did you sim unlock it? Also is it s-on or s-off
Hi all,
Sorry if this is a really obviously question that's been asked a million times before, but is using on any network as simple as changing the CID if I'm S-OFF? Is HTC__001 OK to use?
Thanks
No
If the phone is SIM-locked you'll need an unlock code to use a different SIM
i have an M8 S-off with Super CID. i got an unlock code from o2 UK last November and have only tried it now (with an EE sim).
when i try to unlock it asks for sim network unlock pin but will only allow 4 digits and not 8 which is needed for the unlock.
the EE sim doesn't have a sim pin lock and works in other phones.
is the SuperCID interfering with the unlock code i got from O2? anyone know O2's CID for the HTC?
TIA!
