anyone know of any free TV streaming program for us to watch the cricket on PDA??
That would be great..
Right now I just get the highlights listening to BBC Five Live on my way to and from work..
If you have a TV card in your PC and can connect to your pc remotely over the web, you can use:
http://www.umediaserver.net
Works well, and you can change channels remotely using the TVChannelChanger asp page.
slingbox or orb
this is nice, I will try it, seems to be what I looking for a long time.

I came across this page a while back... it has a load of TV and Radio stations listed... some of the channels work... and some don't!
http://www.pdahomepage.com/videos.html
PocketPC Media
try http://www.pocketpcmedia.com
They seem to have a lot of live tv channels, movie previews and other streaming videos.
check out orb.com and this thread which has a bunch of streaming links. live TV on HSDPA
is there a way to listen to music from shoutcast? seems wmp doesnt support the code thingy
yes. get the shoutcast .pls file for the station you're tryin to listen to... and open it in TCPMP or CorePlayer.
Resco Radio is a commercial Shoutcast player for the Dash.
It's working fine ..
I use Shoutcast all the time and it works great..
Just associate the .pls file in TCPMP and it will auto launch the station..
I browse using IE and select my station..
As I find stations I like, I just rename the .pls file to the name of the station.

Well, its possible that they changed their IP address of the radio station, so if you have it saved as a bookmark, you may need to re-do it .
The problem i run in to is tmobiles network sucks so i have to find a very very low quilaty stream to be able to actually listen to anything.
Thats why i have http://mobilust.net/shoutcast/ bookmarked.
Oh yeah, the site has NSFW ads just to throw the warning out there, but it does let you sort the streams to like 24 Kbps.
Yeah, same problem here with network, but my problem is more related to crappy signal.
When I get a good signal, the speed is really great..
Most of the time I can't even get a signal here at work, so no phone or internet.. lol
I use a site by jamespaulritter at this link:
http://mobile.treobits.com/index.php?ind=shoutcast
I haven't tried it through Opera, but I can confirm it works through Internet Explorer. Just click Tune In, and it will launch whatever you have .pls files assigned to. (In my case, it launches Core Player and starts streaming the music.)
PocketPlayer is the all in one AudioPlayer Shoutcast Media Library, i use CorePlayer but for it's purpose Video.
Hi all,
Just thought I'd fill people in with my experiences with the lovely Touch HD and the BBC. I guess you all already know about the Opera settings edit "sgh-i900" (to get BBC to stream). Ok that’s good, but when I leave the house and try to stream I need Wifi! What a pain in the proverbial!
Anyway, turns out whilst at home and streaming BBC stuff I noticed a file which is held in \windows\opera9\tmpdownload\. Whist the streaming app is running copy the sdp file to your card, then zip it up, turn off wifi and the streaming app. Use winrar on HD to access the zip file (I use winrar as it executes the file immediately). Hey presto! Your chosen BBC content while you're on the move.
BTW, each time you run a sdp file and then close the streaming app the file disappears, hence the zip file to have a backup of your content. This
works with all BBC streaming media. I even use it for the radio as I don’t always get FM signal. Just played a random programme which is the better quality stream (not live) with HSDPA and 2 bars, streamed perfectly.
Attached a few sdp's for you to save a bit of hassle. The n95 one is a watch again so it won't work forever I don't think. They are txt files but when downloaded just change the txt to sdp.
BTW, WMP on HD streams BBC radio too, here are some example url's
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/wm_asx/aod/radio1_hi.asx
http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/meta/tx/nb/live/www17.asx
I searched the forum about this stuff (HD only) and didn't find anything, I hope I haven't repeated something from before!
Cheers,
Flook
Good work! I started a thread a while ago requesting something like this.
See "[REQ] Work Around for BBCi Player - Wifi Only Issue"
Got some interest from people but not from any developers
I am not to bothered now as I have invested in a slingbox but there will be others that be wanting this solution
Thanks Richardirv! Love the sling box solution, my mate went to work in Sweden for a while and he watched sky out there. Brilliant.
It is very good I love it, will be perfect when the mobile phone networks get better HSDPA coverage!!
I hope your solution works well for everyone too.
I want to be able to watch TV on the phone, I have BBC I Player but every time I try to open it the program tells me I have to connect via wi fi, is there software which will allow me to be able to watch TV channels away from home at all ?
Cheers guys

Mplayer
Mplayer is one of the best bits of software you can get for your Touch IMHO. Better quality video streams as well.
You can also try SPB TV.Really cool!
Also : the channer , web TV, and of course you can open many mms streams with your media payer
Another option is a Slingbox Pro and Slingplayer for WM. Although not free to buy there are no other monthly fee's after initial purchase as long as you have a good data bolt on. I couldn't do without mine. Love it!!
I'm looking at dumping my satellite service and finding a subscription service over the phone. As long as I have CNN and Fox Soccer Channel, I'm happy. Any good ones out there?
Also, if there are good ones over the computer, give a shout!
I dont know your mean, but i often use SPB TV on my 9100 and PC
