I'm not sure what I have done, but when I first had my P3300, when I entered the TouchFlo mode by sweeping down the screen, the contacts section (the third button from the left, fourth row) was viewed in the same grey TouchFlo appearance as the main TouchFlo screen (if you get what I mean). I seem to recall that the first letter of the contacts appeared in the middle of the screen in a big grey box.
Now, when I enter the contacts section when in TouchFlo mode, I get the regular WM6 contacts list, which is impossible to scroll effectively with one finger.
Does anyone know how I can get contacts to appear in TouchFlo grey when I am in TouchFlo mode?
I have tried Restore Defaults on the About Tab in TouchFlo Settings. What should each of the buttons in the App Launcher on the Launcher Tab be set as? (App and Params)
Thanks
Ok, I like the 9 shortcuts in Manila today screen, I like even more the 16 shortcuts mod but what I would love more is that after I scroll up to reveal all 9/16 shortcuts and select the shortcut I want, the screen to return showing only the first row without me scrolling down again...
Is there any mod/cab/registry that could enable this behavior ?
HTC HD2 has number of non-standard controls and notifications (not part of Windows Mobile 6.5) that are sometimes causing troubles in our C++ applications. We have spotted following strange behaviour :
Fullscreen month calendar is displayed when clicking on Datetimepicker expand button. But this action closes a dialog containing DTP control - it either closes popup dialog or kills tab in TabCtrl or PropertySheet.
Tab is changed when trying to select text in standard text control with left-right gesture.
We have implemented our own numeric keyboard. Our keyboard is displayed too high (on top of large HTC keyboard) when switching from HTC large keyboard to our standard size keyboard. Looks awkward because bellow our SIP is blank space.
Does somebody have an experience with these issues? Help would be really appreciated.
Cheers.
Hey desire fans
I've been wondering if it's possible to use desire's optical track pad more like a trackball on nexus one - not like the link-to-link jump but to get normal cursor for selecting text etc.
Does anybody think that would work?
if you are using sense then you can simply hold down on text you want to select, a magnifying glass will even appear for precision, and you can then extend your selection with 2 large arrows - pretty simple there
if you are not using sense (froyo i presume) then in a browser or gmail etc go to menu -> more and select text, you can then move your trackpad and it will be displayed as a cursor in which you can select text
hope this helps
If you mean when editing or entering text, you can do the following on the Desire (or probably any Sense UI phone with a trackpad):
gently swipe left / right / up / down over the trackpad to move the text cursor,
long-press (click) the trackpad to pop-up a menu with several options (select all, copy all, start selecting text, paste, etc),
after choosing "select text", the text cursor will slightly alter its appearance, and then swiping in any direction will create an expanding text selection; long-press it once more to perform Copy or Cut operations with the selected text, or to simply stop selecting text in case you changed your mind.
As the previous poster said you can usually select text using touch screen actions as well, but using the trackpad can be more accurate or just plain easier.
Enjoy
Thanks guys!
It'll make my life easier!
Ultimately what I'm looking for is just to get a normal mouse cursor - it's not just about selecting&typing in text - you can do so much more...
Is it possible to flash nexus one rom to desire? Would track pad start working as trackball then?
There is a little microphone on my keyboard in messaging but when i go to webbrowser it goes away... How do i use it in my web browser?
Running Gummy 1.2.0 with gapps
Speech in Browser
It should still be there.
Here is where you'll find it
1) You can enter URLs by speech if you tab the URL bar and click the microphone icon.
2) On the Google keyboard it'll be on the left hand side
3) If you're using swipe it'll be on the lower right
4) Lastly, if you long hold down in the entry box you can choose the speech input method from your notification bar (not entirely intuitive)
I hope that helps.
