Emoze doesn't play custom added wav on new mail arrival - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

Hi all,
I've installed Emoze for my push mail and it runs smoothly on my TP2.
However, I noticed that somehow the default sound for new mail arrival in WM get's ignored.
So, I enabled the notification in the Emoze advanced settings and selected a *.wav sound which works.
But.... I don't like the sounds that are installed with Emoze so I looked up where they are stored (in the root of Windows) and added some wav files to my likings.
Now when I go to Emoze advanced settings the wav files are listed and I can select them, but it seems they are not played....
Anyone has an idea or knows what I am doing wrong?
Anyone knows how to get the default WM mail arrival sound working with Emoze installed?
(I also tried to disable Emoze notification but then still the default WM mail arrival sound doesn't play)
Any hints or tips very much appreciated

I haven't installed Emoze, but I have noticed that the inbuilt new email alert is tempremental for me too - sometimes it plays the alert, sometimes it doesn't. I have 4 email accounts set up, and have to keep checking my phone to see if I have new mail. Rather annoying.

Notification for sms, gmail and exchange

I've seen similar posts on here but not found the answer to this :
Can you have different sound notifications for sms and exchange emails? I know you can have different ones for gmail and specific contacts can have specific ring tones etc, but i can't seem to get a different tone for my sms messages to my work exchange emails Hopefully i'm just being blind and one of you clever lot will point me in the right direction!!
Cheers in advance!
You can download sms pop-up, a neat little app that adds to the notification capability of the stock sms app.

Create a folder on your sd card called notifications put what sounds you want on it then go into sound settings pick what sound you want as an email notification then go into the sms application where you will be able to set a different sound for your sms
Cheers fella's. The SMS pop-up has cured the issue

2 how-to questions

I've been trying to figure two things :
1) I take a 5MP pic with my Desire and want to mail it, is it at all possible to resize the picture i mail in attachment ?
2) i'd love to have a different notification sound for my incoming mail than for regular notifications, is it possible ? i can customize my incoming sms messages notification by using Handcent SMS.
thanks
Yves
Don't know about the first one.
But the email notifications can be set directly in the email application (Menu-Settings). The same goes for SMS.
It took me a while to figure out that I have to change the notifications in directly in the applications.

Thanks Ferus,
in the menu section you can say whether you want to be notified but you cannot change the sound of the notification. I wasn't clear on that in my previous mail. I'd like to change the sound just like you can in WM6. a different sound for different events

In the Settings of Google Mail application I have the option to be notified and also select the ringtone.

Yes you're right; however for the Exchange mail or any other POP account you cannot define it.
I gather there is no possibility to assign a specific notification sound for an incoming mail. Perhaps anyone has heard of an application who can do it ?
Anyone has an answer for me concerning the resizing of pictures when mailing them ?

New mail notification for IMAP folders

I know this has been asked several times, but I never seen a conclusive answer (and maybe that is the answer in and of itself):
When you use IMAP with Outlook Mobile (this is a standard internet IMAP account, not exchange), your unread message count and your new email notification is only for your Inbox main folder. Subfolders do not get counted, and what is more frustrating is that there is new notification. I used to have a Nokia E71 and used Seven email client on that and it also did not normally show the total unread in all folders, but it did notify me when an email came in in a subfolder, and so I'd check my box and if there was nothing, then I would check my subfolders for new mail.
I have also heard people say this is an Outlook overall problem, including desktop versions. I'd have to disagree. Sure, the unread count at the top level of the account is only going to show the unread in the Inbox, but I have been able to tell Outlook to alert me whenever a new message comes in regardless of its folder. But I haven't found a way to do that in Outlook Mobile.
Is there a registry edit that can help me? If not, has anyone found that System Seven works on WM 6.5 so as to alert you whenever a new mail is downloaded, regardless of folder? When I tried it, it didn't seem like it.
Any clues appreciated.
Same question here on wm 6.5. for 6.1 there is a plugin available "Message notify " from blackmon labs which does the task. Anyone got a solution on 6.5 ?

[Q] Custom Ringtone/Notification sounds email contact

I have made the switch from a nice blackberry torch 9800- which I had no issue with at all. It was getting super tired and needed to be put to rest, it is grateful.
The new HTC does everything better than the torch(shocking, I KNOW!). However, there is only one thing that I could do with that BB that I cannot figure out how to do with the HTC and it is a HUGE issue for me. I need a customized alert/notification/ringtone for specific email contacts (SMS would also be nice, but not a major issue). In other words when I get an email (gmail only) from someone specific, I need the notification tone/ringer to tell me I have email from them, specifically. I really only have 3 or 4 that need to be customized.
I have several international contacts who I do not speak to on the phone (i.e. they do not call me) so, I do not have telephone numbers for them. I have Skype addresses and email addresses for them. With the BB, I added them to contacts (w or w/o a phone number) and if I received an email to my gmail account I was alerted with a specific chosen ringtone. Email that was sent from others had a generic notification tone.
Is there an app? a tweak? something I am missing? If the BB can handle this, surely Android can do the same? I have added them to my phone contacts and entered the email address in the information- chosen the specific tone for that contact. I have received emails from them and I still just get the standard default email notification sound.
thanks for your help!

Email issue

Hey guys. Been having a few emails here or there get kicked into my junk folder (Exchange account, stock email app). I will get the sound alert and see the message in my notification but when I click on the message it disappears. In the past I thought it was just a glitch but just found those emails in the junk folder today while doing some clean up (in Outlook on my desktop).
That sound familiar to any of you smart guys?
